Chelsea Club World Cup tickets available for £8
A mixture of reasons have been cited, including extreme heat and thunderstorms for supporters, a potential lack of interest, kick-off times when the majority of US-based fans are working, poor marketing locally and initial high prices of more than $200 set by Fifa when announcing the matches in December. Tickets prices for Real Madrid's quarter-final with Borussia Dortmund in New Jersey on Saturday start at $183.40 (£134.37), while the most affordable for Paris St-Germain versus Bayern Munich are currently listed at $83.65 (£61.29) in Atlanta. However, after both Manchester City and Inter Milan suffered upsets in the round of 16, the upcoming Al Hilal against Fluminense tie in Orlando, Florida has tickets from $11.15 (£8.17). The cheapest ticket for the final was $732 (£536.31) but is now going for $390 (£285.74).

Ruben Neves' touching Diogo Jota act after beautiful tribute to friend
Ruben Neves paid a beautiful tribute to his friend Diogo Jota after the Liverpool forward's tragic death on Thursday and was among the mourners at the star's funeral in Gondomar Ruben Neves was amongst the many mourners in Gondomar on Saturday morning for the funeral of Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, following their tragic deaths. Jota, 28, and Andre, 26, were killed in a car accident on Thursday morning, sparking an outpouring of grief from Portugal, Jota's team-mates and the wider football community. Tributes have flooded in for the Liverpool forward and his younger brother and Neves, who played with Jota for Wolves and the Portugal national team, penned a beautiful social media post to honour his friend. He and Joao Cancelo - another of Jota's Portugal team-mates - were among those in attendance for Saturday's funeral, with Neves acting as one of the pallbearers. The Al-Hilal duo and broke down in tears on Friday when a minute's silence was held in Jota's memory before the club's quarter-final Club World Cup tie with Fluminense. Jota and Andre will be laid to rest at a private funeral service on Saturday in their hometown. Hundreds of members of the public have gathered outside the chapel to also pay their respects. Neves played alongside Jota for years at Wolves; before that they had broken through together at FC Porto before heading to Molineux in the same summer. Amongst the many wonderful tributes that have been paid to Jota over the last two days, Neves' has stood out. In a beautiful message to his friends, he wrote: 'Bro, wherever you are, I know you'll read this, we've never been this sloppy and maybe now I regret it a little, but you know what you mean to me as much as I know what I mean to you. 'More than a friendship, we're family, and we won't stop being that just because you've decided to sign a contract a little further away from us. When I go to the national team, you will continue to be by my side at the dinner table, on the bus, on the plane... you will always be there with me, as usual. 'Let's keep laughing, making plans, sharing our life with each other. I'm going to make sure you're always present and I'll make sure that your loved ones never lack anything while you're there, far away but thinking of us, waiting for us. 'Life has brought us together and now it can't tear us apart. We've achieved some great things together, we still have a lot to go, I know we can. From today on, you will enter the field with me and we will follow our path together, on the stage where we met. 'Diogoal, you are my favourite lemonade!! Amo-te.'

England v India: second men's cricket Test, day four
Update: Date: 2025-07-05T09:23:43.000Z Title: Preamble Content: Here's something I wrote earlier: 'A draw is like kissing your sister,' Edward J Erdelatz said to the New York Times in 1954. Erdelatz was the United States Navy's head football coach and his side had just drawn 0-0 against Duke University. 'No one asked the mild spoken navy coach to explain,' the report adds. Well, quite. But sister or not, everyone knew what he meant. Erdelatz's unique take on the merits or otherwise of not winning are ingrained in American sports where a Lombardian win-at-all-costs mentality prevails. Try explaining Test cricket to an American sports fan, they say, with a wry chuckle – the fact that two teams can battle it out for five full days and in the end, there is not necessarily a winner. Good luck, they smirk. Adelaide 1961? You may as well be describing the plot of Christopher Nolan's Memento to a toddler. Old Trafford 2005? More chance of a cider-addled bee getting to grips with quantum theory. They do not get it, be gone with your quaint English ways, five days and no winner. That's crazy, man. Yet draws are intrinsic to Test cricket, they are written in its DNA – a double helix in the shape of a deadlock. Draws speak to its beguiling and maddening qualities, a testament to the game's downright peculiarity. That a side can battle back from a point of seemingly no return to pull off the heist of shared spoils, drop anchor, defy logic, battle against their opponents' desire, their own self-belief, against conditions under their feet and above their heads, against time itself. This makes the game what it is, why it is called what it is called. Even when you are on top, it is still really hard to finish a side off and win a Test match.' At what point in this game do you think Ben Stokes might decide to pucker up and play for the draw? Or will he laugh in the face of such outdated thinking? Preferring his side to go down in a blaze of wickets rather than entertain not entertaining and batting out to share the spoils? England are playing a more nuanced version of Bazball but whether they still have the stomach to suck up a draw remains to be seen. India are currently 64 for one and hold a lead of 244. India captain Shubman Gill knows all too well that England will try and chase whatever they are set, at least initially, and 371 wasn't enough last week in Headingley. Harry Brook and Jamie Smith's barnstormingly epic three hundred run partnership showed the path of one possible outcome just as England's quacking and creaking batting card containing six ducks showed the other. Of one thing we can be sure, it'll be unmissable viewing on day four at Edgbaston. Play gets underway at 11am and I'm very much here for your thoughts and theories on where this second Test match might be headed.

Chelsea boss makes transfer statement amid Arsenal interest in Noni Madueke
Chelsea defeated Palmeiras in the Club World Cup final before Enzo Maresca was asked about Noni Madueke's future at the club amid speculation over interest from Arsenal Enzo Maresca has declared any player who is unhappy at Chelsea is free to go, amid speculation Arsenal could make a move for Noni Madueke. The Gunners are reported to be considering a bid for the winger, though the Blues' £50million valuation could prove a stumbling block. Madueke came off the bench in Chelsea's Club World Cup quarter-final win over Palmeiras, as they progressed to set up a fixture with Fluminense in the next round. The Italian suggested that England international Madueke was an important part of his squad over the last 12 months. The 23-year-old, who came through the ranks at Tottenham before joining PSV in his teenage years, scored 11 goals and made five assists to help the Blues to Champions League qualification and the Conference League title. "Noni has been very important for us during this season," said Maresca after Chelsea's win. "Today, again, he has been important. "But my message to the players and to the club is that I want just players that are happy to be with us. The ones that are not happy, they are free to go. "It's not for Noni, it's for all the players we have. But again, Noni has been very good during the season and very good tonight." Despite an impactful season from Madueke, he is already under increased comptetition ahead of the next campaign. The Blues have added Joao Pedro, who made his debut against Palmeiras, to their squad and faced off against Estevao on Friday evening ahead of his arrival after the Club World Cup. Chelsea have also made a deal for Jamie Gittens who arrives from Borussia Dortmund. The ex-Manchester academy product was in attendance in Philadelphia for Chelsea's win. "Jamie was here tonight, he was on the pitch," said Maresca. "And he will be with us probably one more day, two days more. And then he will go for a holiday and come back when we're going to start the new season. "Estevao, I spoke with him for the first time after the game. I told him that it's been the perfect night because we won, he scored. So it's been perfect for us and for him."
