JSO: Counterfeit merchandise vendor arrested at weekend comedy show
A man has been arrested after attempting to sell counterfeit merchandise at the Shane Gillis comedy show this past Saturday.

The man, 41-year-old Arthur Gaffney, was identified by undercover officers who were trying to identify counterfeit merchandise to event attendees.
After a verbal argument between Gaffney and the officers, he was told that he would be trespassed and arrested if he returned to the venue, Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena. He was later trespassed after standing at the outskirts of the venue calling out to officers,
At the completion of the show, Gaffney was again seen attempting to sell counterfeit merchandise to attendees upon their exit. When Gaffney saw officers, he began to shout at officers. As officers attempted to take Gaffney into custody, he began to flee the scene.
After further investigation, officers discovered that Gaffney has had an active warrant since December 2024 for the charge of 'Failure to Appear-Vendors to be Licensed' out of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Over 50 counterfeit shirts were confiscated by detectives.

He was arrested just last week (May 26) on drug dealing charges. Some folks just can't stay out of the backseat of our patrol cars,' a spokesperson for Richmond Police said in the post. This arrest was made by the Strategic and Focused Enforcement (S.A.F.E.) Unit. 'When it comes to drug enforcement, we're not backing down. Inmate dies at Jacksonville hospital before making it to Duval County Jail, police say
An inmate died at a hospital while in police custody before he made it to the Duval County Jail, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. Adam Christopher Torrens, 59, was arrested on May 17 in Clay County on a violation of probation warrant out of Duval County, JSO said. JSO said Torrens' violation of probation stemmed from his local arrest on February 18, for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (domestic). While in Clay County Sheriff's Office custody, Torrens was being treated at a hospital in Clay County. Torrens remained at the Jacksonville hospital until Tuesday, when he died. Man accused of depositing check meant for GA county commissioners into personal account
A man was arrested after deputies said he stole a check and deposited it into his own account. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] In September 2024, Darrell Lee Powell, mobile depositing a check for $18,562.33 into his personal Fidelity account, deputies say. However, officials said, the check belonged to the Floyd County Board of Commissioners. According to Floyd County authorities, the check was somehow altered and made to be paid in the order of Powell.
