Ryan Moore jocks Kieran Shoemark off massive £225,000 Group 1 ride as trainer says he wants ‘best chance' of victory
RYAN MOORE has jocked Kieran Shoemark off the massive £225,000 ride on Dancing Gemini in the Lockinge.
It is the latest massive blow for Shoemark - who recently endured the week from hell.

First he lost his job as the No1 rider for John and Thady Gosden.
Then he saw an epic French 1000 Guineas win on Shes Perfect ripped from his grasp after a controversial stewards' enquiry demoted him to second - as cries of 'cheat' rang round the winner's enclosure
Shes Perfect's owners saw £150,000 go up in flames after Zarigana was given the race - but praised the jockey's class in the gut-wrenching aftermath.
Now Shoemark will need to show he's made of stern stuff all over again after losing the lucrative ride on crack miler Dancing Gemini.
Shoemark was expected to get the leg up on the Group 2-winning four-year-old colt, who looked awesome in last month's bet365 Mile romp at Sandown.
But with Aidan O'Brien having no leg in the race, that freed up Moore.
The man thought by many to be the best on the planet has been in unbelievable form.
He produced a masterclass on Mount Kilimanjaro at Chester - before coming from the clouds to win the French 2000 Guineas on Henri Matisse in a thriller.
Teal said it had been difficult leaving Shoemark - who rode Dancing Gemini to victory in March's Doncaster Mile - off the ride.
As it had been Rossa Ryan, who did the steering at Sandown.
But he said he had to give the horse the 'best chance' of victory at Newbury in the mega-money Group 1.
And that meant booking Moore.
Teal told the Nick Luck Daily podcast: "Obviously Rossa rode him the last day at Sandown because Kieran had other commitments with the Gosdens.
"But with what happened there… and Ryan Moore is available.
"It's been a tough decision by the owner and myself.
"We've spoken for an hour every day making this decision.
"But Ryan Moore is Ryan Moore at the end of the day and we have to give ourselves the best chance.
"The other boys are very capable but when Ryan throws his hat into the ring it's hard to say no."

Hoy, 49, is determined to live every day to its fullest, so much so that he decided to give race car driving a go again. The Scot took part in the Dark Horse Stars class of the Mustang Challenge, which is on the bill of the famous Le Mans 24, this weekend. And Hoy, who raced in the full Le Mans in 2016, hopes him living out his final days doing what he loves will inspire other cancer sufferers to do the same. "It changed everything in one sentence, you're told that's not curable, but it's treatable. "So suddenly, you have this death sentence, and it's terrifying, but I'm here to show that life goes on for many people in that situation." "Speaking of Chris Harris, it was a blast to hang out, talk cars and learn from him. "What a job he did in Race 2, P12 from 31st on the grid, making 11 places in lap one amidst the carnage and bringing the Tour de 4 liveried #77 home in style! "I managed P20 from the same grid position in race 1, very happy to have had some awesome battles throughout the 45-minute race and get a proper hit out after frustrations in qualifying. I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer almost two years ago now, and it shocked me, it rocked my world." Sir Chris Hoy "Massive thanks to Academy Motorsport team for all their hard work and support, what a great bunch they are. "And finally, best of luck to all the drivers in the 24 heures du mans, I wish you a safe and successful race." Hoy will attempt to raise £1million for UK cancer charities with a charity bike ride in September. He said: "The bike ride is to try and get as many people together as possible. "Not just people suffering with cancer but anybody. "To show we can keep on living, make the most of every day and live in the present, because that's all any of us have."

Truth behind Donald Trump rumour as US President tipped to drive McLaren F1 car
Donald Trump will not be driving a Formula 1 car next week, can confirm. That was the fanciful claim made during a live broadcast from the Canadian Grand Prix on French television this weekend, sparking widespread confusion online. Of course, it sounds like an entirely ridiculous rumour, despite Trump being acquainted with McLaren chief executive Zak Brown. And a McLaren spokesperson has confirmed as much, telling when we approached the team for comment: "Not true, he won't be driving our car." The claim was reported on French television channel Canal+ during their live coverage of practice in Montreal. And, naturally, the rumour made its way onto social media where it began to get some traction. The claim was that Trump might be set to get the chance to drive an F1 car at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas. It was not specified which car it would have been, other than that it was said to be a McLaren, which would surely have to be specially modified to fit the US President. The fanciful rumour was perhaps made more believable by the specific mention of McLaren. Trump was hosted by the team at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix and is said to have a personal relationship with the team's American chief executive Zak Brown. ---

But I'm sure they will be comfortable." Article continues below Another shopper echoed the sentiment regarding the snug fit and expressed a desire for wider options from M&S, while a third was so taken with the style that they bought two pairs, saying: "Lovely blue - harebell blue, I think. Very comfortable slide as it has a slightly flexible sole that also has a pattern so not completely smooth and slippery. Bought in brown as well as they look very expensive and stylish."
