Park Bo Gum Gets A Sweet Surprise From IU On The Final Shoot Of The Seasons
IU also apologised to Park Bo Gum for not being able to attend his music program.
South Korean singer and actress IU just gave her When Life Gives You Tangerines co-star Park Bo Gum a pleasant surprise. She sent a heartfelt message to him during the final shoot of The Seasons: Park Bo Gum' s Cantabile, which he co-hosts. While her message certainly left him emotional, what came after it brought tears to his eyes.
The two stars share a close bond ever since they worked on the Netflix K-drama, which took the world by storm. They have always spoken highly of one another and supported the other whenever needed. So, the latest gesture made by IU was not something totally out of the blue. As Park Bo Gum was preparing to wrap up the show, a video message started playing.
In it, IU congratulated him on the successful run of the show, saying, 'As much as it's your last shoot of The Seasons, I wanted to congratulate you via this video message." Further, she apologised for not being able to appear on any episodes of the show.
The singer added, 'When you had your first broadcast, I said that I would definitely appear on the show. I apologise for not being able to keep my promise to be a guest. I'm really, really sorry. But you know my heart's sincerity and that I watched the broadcast almost every week, right? You were the best as an MC." Bo Gum shook his head softly, assuring her that it was alright.
She continued, 'I was able to enjoy singer Park Bo Gum, performer/ musician Park Bo Gum, so it was great. You were really amazing on Cantabile. I'm so sorry about not appearing that…I'm here." Then came the twist. With a bunch of flowers in her hand, she entered onto the stage. She got down on her knees and presented the bouquet to her friend, who was already overwhelmed by her kind gesture. IU patted his back to calm him down.
Park Bo Gum Got Emotional Seeing IU On The Stage
Bo Gum had tears in his eyes when IU introduced herself as his 'friend." Seeing him all emotional, the audience, in harmony, said, 'Don't cry." IU even shared that she wanted to keep her appearance as cheerful as possible and did not want to make him cry. To this, the actor asked, 'What are you doing (here)?" She then explained that she had been waiting for the right time to surprise him, and she managed to squeeze in some time between her drama shoots. Furthermore, Bo Gum told the audience that he did not want to burden her by asking her to attend the show. So, he was as surprised as anyone in the room.
Park Bo Gum and IU played the lead couple in When Life Gives You Tangerines, which premiered earlier this year.

Farah Khan Warns Cook Dilip Not To Tell Husband About Her Flirting With Boman Irani
Last Updated: Farah Khan jokingly warns cook Dilip not to tell her husband she flirts with Boman Irani, says she considered casting couch for Main Hoon Na. Farah Khan's latest vlog is a riot of laughter, nostalgic anecdotes and trademark wit as she visits longtime friend and actor Boman Irani's home, accompanied by her ever-entertaining cook, Dilip. Known for their infectious chemistry and effortless humour, Farah and Boman light up the screen with their banter—and this time, even Boman's wife Zenobia joins in on the fun. Before stepping into the Irani household, Farah cheekily warns Dilip, 'Don't tell Shirish if I flirt with Boman." Confused, Dilip innocently asks, 'What is flirting?" Farah, with a mischievous grin, explains, 'Flirting means nain mataka, or if I hug Boman sir, or sit next to him." The laughs don't stop there. Recalling the casting of her 2004 film Main Hoon Na, Farah takes a playful dig, saying, 'The only time I wanted to do a casting couch for my movie was with Boman. But he got the role just like that, didn't even sit on the couch!" The room bursts into laughter. Dilip, clearly puzzled, is then asked if he knows what 'casting couch" means. When he says no, Farah shoos him away with a giggle: 'You please go to the kitchen now." Even Zenobia takes it in stride. When Boman asks how she puts up with such jokes, Farah interjects, 'Because she knows nobody believes we're having an affair." The vlog also reveals a charming throwback: Farah once dressed up for what she thought was Boman's birthday party, only to realise she had arrived a day early. The friends shared a hearty laugh reminiscing about the mix-up. As the group makes their way to the kitchen, Irani tries to excuse himself: 'This means it is my time to get out of the kitchen." But Farah protests, 'No sir, you need to be here. Chutney kaun lagayega apne haatho se?" prompting Irani to call Dilip for help. In a final moment of comic warning, Farah tells Dilip, 'Dare you tell anything to Shirish. I will have your salary reduced," to which Dilip responds with a sheepish smile. Salman Khan, Mahesh Narayanan In Advanced Talks For 70s-Era Action Period Thriller: Report
Last Updated: Salman Khan may soon team up with Mahesh Narayanan for a 70s-set action thriller. The duo has had multiple meetings and talks are now in the final stages. Salman Khan, who is currently gearing up for his ambitious project Galwan with director Apoorva Lakhia, is already planning his next big move. As he preps for the Ladakh shoot scheduled later this month, the superstar is actively meeting filmmakers to lock in future projects and one of the most exciting names in the mix is Malayalam director Mahesh Narayanan. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Salman and Mahesh have already had around four to five meetings, with the latest one taking place just a week ago in Mumbai. The discussions are reportedly centered around a period action thriller, a genre Salman has rarely explored in his three-decade-long career. 'Salman Khan and Mahesh Narayanan have been jamming on multiple ideas, and Salman has given a go-ahead to the filmmaker on a period-thriller with action. The film in discussion will be set in the 1970s to 1990s, and Mahesh will now come back for a full-length narration," the source told Pinkvilla. The project is said to be very different from Salman's usual fare. 'Be it Galwan, or the Mahesh Narayanan directorial—Salman is looking to explore new genres now, that challenge him. There will be a 100 percent clarity on the Mahesh Narayanan film before the end of this year," the source added. In parallel, the actor is also in touch with his frequent collaborator Kabir Khan. 'The duo is jamming on multiple ideas, and have a definite intent to collaborate. The discussions are happening across genres—from stylish action thrillers to high-octane dramas, and of course, the much-anticipated Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel," the insider revealed. What's piquing fans' curiosity is the unique tone and setting of Mahesh's proposed film. 'It's a character in a world that Salman has not explored before. The things look positive at the moment for this collaboration," the source concluded. If things go as planned, Salman will wrap up Galwan by November or December 2025, and Mahesh Narayanan is expected to finish his Malayalam commitments in parallel. The two could come together for this exciting new project in 2026. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. Indian dance troupe mesmerises packed auditorium in Israel
Haifa (Israel), Aug 4 (PTI) India enthusiasts in Israel descended on the northern Israeli coastal city of Haifa on Monday evening to witness a rich and impressive dance performance that blended the traditional Indian dance form of Odissi with modern styles, including fusion, Bollywood, urban dance and even some shades of Middle-Eastern influences. Young dancers from the Indian dance troupe Amaiza, founded by dancer and choreographer Nitisha Nanda, known for her appearances in leading reality shows 'So You Think You Can Dance India" and 'India's Got Talent", gave a captivating performance in front of a packed Beit Aba Hushi auditorium, with the 500 people in the audience often cheering in delight. The Embassy of India in Israel, in collaboration with the Haifa Municipality, the Indian Cultural Centre and the Port of Haifa, hosted the vibrant cultural event, 'celebrating the deepening friendship between India and Israel". The northern Israeli coastal city of Haifa has a deep connection with India, having been liberated from the Ottomans in 1918 by Indian soldiers, and Major Dalpat Singh is known as the 'Hero of Haifa" for leading a successful cavalry charge that shocked military historians by its sheer audacity. 'We were taught in school that the British liberated Haifa, but I later learned that it was Indian soldiers who shed their blood to free the city," Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav told the audience. 'Once a year, we gather at the city's cemetery to honour the Indian soldiers who gave their lives to protect us," Yahav said, emphasising the city's strong bond with India. 'The relationship between India and Israel, especially with the city of Haifa, is built on trust, mutual respect and lasting friendship," India's Ambassador to Israel, J P Singh, said. 'This cultural performance is dedicated to the people of Haifa, a city with which India shares deep historical bonds. During World War I, Indian soldiers sacrificed their lives in the Battle of the Liberation of Haifa," Singh stressed. Dalpat Singh made the ultimate sacrifice in that battle, which the Indian cavalry forces fought bravely under dire circumstances to inscribe their names in the last 'major cavalry charge in history". The performance in Haifa mesmerised the audience with its passion, precision and energy, showcasing both the traditional and contemporary spirit of Indian culture. It was an evening of colour, rhythm and movement — a powerful artistic experience that left a lasting impression on the Israeli audience. The event marked the festive launch of the troupe's Israel tour, with upcoming performances scheduled at Netanya on August 5, Or Akiva on August 6 and Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek on August 7.
