Orlando Bloom in Perth with Katy Perry amid split rumours

Perth Now13 hours ago

Orlando Bloom has joined Katy Perry on her trip to Perth for two concerts despite rumours their relationship is in trouble following an 'explosive' argument.
The 48-year-old British actor was first spotted exiting the couple's jet at Perth Airport on Sunday afternoon, ahead of Perry's first show at RAC Arena that night, which got fans talking.
On Friday, it was reported that Bloom blasted Perry's Blue Origin space flight in April as 'embarrassing' and 'cringeworthy' in 'the middle of a fight.'
However, despite the insider's commentary hinting at possible relationship woes, The Lord of the Rings star has accompanied the superstar on her Lifetimes tour to Perth.

Bloom attempted to blend in with citygoers by wearing a casual black shirt and cap.
His four-year-old daughter, who celebrates her birthday in two months, looked adorable in a cute outfit with her short blonde hair left loose.
She hung on tightly to her father with one hand while the other gripped a red and blue balloon animal.

Bloom and Perry have been together since 2016, briefly splitting up the following year before getting engaged in 2019.
News broke earlier this month that their was 'tension' in the pair's relationship, with People reporting that Perry's 'devastating' album flop caused 'stress.'
Perry took to the stage at RAC Arena on Sunday night as thousands of loyal 'KatyCats' assembled in anticipation of their pop idol.
The spectacle included an array of classic and new hits with Perry going all out by riding a gargantuan mechanical butterfly across the arena and was propelled through the air on aerial lines.

'In my dad's 90th year to have him back will be very special...' Emily Eavis reveals importance of getting Glastonbury headliner

Emily Eavis was determined to book Neil Young as a Glastonbury headliner this year to mark her dad Michael Eavis' 90th birthday. The festival creator reaches the milestone age on October 17 and his daughter Emily, 45, wanted to ensure she could get Young - one of her father's "favourite artists of all time" - to perform at the festival to celebrate his 90th year. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, she said: "Neil Young is one of my dad's favourite artists of all time, and mine. We've sort of grown up with him. He played in 2009, and it was an incredible set, so getting him back has been a really important thing for us — and especially in my dad's 90th year to have him back singing all his beautiful songs will be something very special.' The other headliners are The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo and Emily picked Matty Healy's band to the top of the bill on the Pyramid Stage on Friday night because she wanted to "champion British rock music". Emily decided on Oliva as the third headliner after being stunned by her 2022 performance at Worthy Farm. The festival organiser added: "She came off the stage in tears. It was so incredible. When you see an artist who's so young storming through, it's really exciting.' However, Emily - who is one of five Eavis children - admits she doesn't always get to see the bands and artists she wants to over the course of the weekend because of her responsibilities running the festival site. She said: "I try my best, but it depends on what's happening on site at the time. But it is really important to watch because you're creating this huge show of artists, bands, and activities, and then if you miss them all, it's a bit gutting.' The festival is being held for the 53rd time and it has changed a lot since it began in 1970, when just 1,500 people attended. Now, 200,000 people, including more than 2,000 performers across over 100 stages, head to Pilton, Somerset, South West England, and Emily has taken measures to ease the overcrowding that caused some stages to be shutdown in 2024, including sets by Charli XCX, Avril Lavigne and the Sugababes, with one measure being to sell fewer tickets and another to create a new field called Dragon's Tail for partygoers in the late night area of the site who wish to take a break. Emily said: "Crowding is something we're going to address. "I think the issue was that people were moving in similar directions, so we're trying to spread the programming out by putting more high level artists on at the same time. Also telling people that there's 10 routes to anywhere; you don't have to go the one way you think you have to. There's also endlessly interesting things you can find that aren't at massive stages or with big crowds. "I hope [the whole site] feels nice and roomy for people."

Perth teen's crazy outfit results in Katy Perry stage time

An Armadale teen's bizarre decision to dress as an orange 'sandwich board' inspired by Katy Perry's 2022 Menu Log commercial has resulted in an unforgettable moment on stage with the pop star. After turning 16 on Friday, Archie Richards used Perry's Sunday night RAC Arena show as the setting for his birthday party. Summoned to the stage by the performer alongside several other fans in eye-catching outfits, the teen was encouraged to rap a few famous lines from the advert — and even took some snaps with the star he's admired for more than 10 years. 'It just didn't feel real.' Asked how the Roar singer reacted to his obscure outfit choice, Mr Richards believes he caught her slightly off guard. 'I think she was a bit taken aback. It's not every day you see a teenage boy dressed up in a Menu Log sandwich board,' he joked. Each moment of his performance was caught on camera by his 'ecstatic' friend, with the audience lapping up the youngster's energy. However, his unforgettable experience almost didn't happen. The teen said that his one-of-a-kind outfit was a last-minute DIY job, initially planning to attend as a 'firework' before a change of heart. 'I thought, 'What if I just paint (the cardboard) orange and stick some glitter in the shape of Menu Log on it?',' he recalled. 'I made it the day of the concert in about two hours, so I'm pretty proud of it.' Perry played a mix of her classic hits, such as Dark Horse and Roar, as well as recent hits from her 2024 album titled 143. The 40-year-old's famous husband, actor Orlando Bloom, and her daughter Daisy have accompanied the star in Perth. With Mr Richards part of the next-generation of Perry fans, the teen showed his age when asked how he felt about the Pirates of the Caribbean star's presence in town. 'To be completely honest, I don't know who Orlando Bloom is,' he said. The excited fan said he would be attending the singer's second show in Perth on Monday night, and vowed to 'outfit repeat' after success the first time. 'Same costume, but I'm sitting a lot closer so she'll definitely see me,' he said.

'I just realised I've been doing this for 61 years,' she said onstage during her acceptance speech at the ceremony attended by the likes of Fran Drescher, Alec Baldwin, Heather Graham, Cuba Gooding Jr and Ashley Greene. 'I grew up with flat feet and a speech impediment, with my parents being told I had to have remedial classes for both,' Seymour added. 'Don't let anyone tell you you can't do it.' Seymour shared a photo of herself rocking another red swimsuit. Also spotted at the festival: Scandal-plagued actor Ezra Miller, making a red carpet return after several years spent out of the spotlight, and looking very different to how fans would remember them. Elsewhere at the festival, during masterclasses organised for the event, Seymour described the course of her career and how proud she is to have 'always broken the glass ceiling'. 'I started out, of course, playing ingenues and romantic heroines,' she said. 'Then when they realised I could cry, I played victims. And then, when they realised I could be evil, I got to play the killers. That was fun.' 'And then, you know, mamas, grandmothers. Then comedy, which is pretty much where I am now.' Seymour says there's no reason women need to slow down in their 70s. Picture:for Turner Now, Seymour is enjoying the success on the Irish mystery series Harry Wild, which was recently renewed for a fifth season on British streaming service Acorn TV. The actress is incredibly proud to be one of very few actresses her age to head a series. In Harry Wild, she plays the lead role as a retired English literature professor who becomes a super-sleuth. Seymour, seen here in 2005, has appeared in series such as The Kominsky Method and The Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as the hit comedy Wedding Crashers. Picture:'Nobody gets a series of their own at 70. Nobody,' she pointed out at one masterclass. '[Harry Wild is] very comedic, it's very intelligent – and I'm also a producer.' In a past interview with Hello!, Seymour also said there's no reason to stop living when you reach your seventies. 'The world is against ageing. We hate ageing. We look at ageing and we go, 'Oh, no, there's a wrinkle, oh my God. Get rid of it. Grey hair. No. Terrifying!'' she told the magazine. 'Whereas you can look at it the other way and you can say actually, I now have time in my life to do things I really want to do. Maybe I can now become the person I want to be.'
