When does the final season of 'Squid Game' come out? Date, cast, where to watch
"A failed rebellion, the death of a friend, and a secret betrayal," let the games begin.
"Squid Game" returns this week for its third and final season with Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) aiming to put an end to the game after losing his best friend and "being driven to utter despair by The Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), who was hiding his true identity to infiltrate the game." The upcoming season picks up right after Season 2's bloody cliffhanger, and finds Gi-hun, aka Player 456, "at his lowest point yet," says Netflix.
"But the Squid Game stops for no one, so Gi-hun will be forced to make some important choices in the face of overwhelming despair as he and the surviving players are thrust into deadlier games that test everyone's resolve," the season synopsis says. "With each round, their choices lead to increasingly grave consequences."
The Front Man, meanwhile, "continues onto his next move and the surviving players' choices will lead to graver consequences with each round," says Netflix about the highly anticipated upcoming season.
"Will Gi-hun make the right decisions, or will Front Man finally break his spirit?" the streamer adds.
Gi-hun is in 'utter despair,' says creator
Series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk told Netflix's Tudum "the new season will focus on what Gi-hun can and will do after all his efforts fail."
"He is in utter despair after losing everything and watching all his efforts go in vain," Hwang says. "The story then takes an interesting turn, questioning whether Gi-hun can overcome his shame and rise again to prove that values of humanity — like conscience and kindness — can exist in the arena."
The viral dystopic show, which centers around main character Gi-hun has delighted fans since its 2021 premiere, combining classic thriller elements with a deeper exploration of the human capacity for evil and the perils of an unequal society. Season 2 of "Squid Game" is currently the third-biggest season of a TV show in Netflix history with 192.6 million views so far, the streamer said.

Charlize Theron Embraces Sheer Dressing With Fishnet Edge in Givenchy for ‘The Old Guard 2' Los Angeles Premiere
Charlize Theron joined the cast and creative team behind 'The Old Guard 2' for the film's premiere on Wednesday in Los Angeles. The Oscar-winning actress stars in the sequel to the 2020 action and fantasy Netflix feature. For the film's red-carpet premiere, Theron drew inspiration from the runway for her style. The actress wore a black fishnet bodysuit courtesy of Givenchy. The look, which opened the fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection runway show, featured a high neckline and see-through black fishnet fabric with 'Givenchy, Paris 1952' embossed in white on the bustline of the look. Theron coordinated the look with a pair of black square-toed boots. She also styled a black blazer with sharp lapels overtop her bodysuit. As for her glam, Theron's blond hair was pulled back into a tight chignon. Her makeup included smoky eyes, defined brows and a glossy lip. Theron's 'The Old Guard 2' premiere look made its runway debut during Paris Fashion Week last March. The collection marked Sarah Burton's first as the creative director of the French luxury fashion house. The designer previously led the formative years of her career with Alexander McQueen. Burton took inspiration from Givenchy's debut collection in 1952, turning to the archives and crafting a collection that went 'back to silhouette. This is the backbone of the house today,' she said per Miles Socha's WWD review of the collection. 'The clothes were superb, peerlessly realized and immediately desirable; sometimes young and zesty, but most often the pinnacle of adult sophistication,' Socha wrote in WWD's review. 'Here was a show where you could sense how proud the models were to wear them, and the entire cast of diverse sizes and ages looked gorgeous.' Is ‘Lookism' returning for season 2? Everything we know so far
By Aman Shukla Published on June 26, 2025, 20:16 IST Alright, let's talk Lookism . If you binged the first season of this South Korean anime on Netflix back in December 2022, you're probably itching to know if Park Hyung-seok's wild body-switching story is coming back for round two. The show, based on Park Tae-joon's mega-popular webtoon, hooked fans with its mix of raw social commentary—think bullying and judging people by their looks—and a supernatural twist that's just plain cool. So, is Lookism Season 2 happening? Here's everything we know so far. Is Lookism Season 2 happening? Straight up, as of today in June 2025, there's no official word from Netflix or Studio Mir (the folks who animated it) about a second season. Crickets. Nada. Zilch. The first season dropped eight episodes, wrapping up around chapter 27 of the webtoon with that school festival moment where Hyung-seok and Deok Hwa stole the show. Fans loved it— Lookism is sitting pretty with a 7.49/10 on MyAnimeList—but Netflix plays its renewal cards close to the chest. They're all about those viewership numbers, and we don't have the tea on whether Lookism hit their magic mark. The webtoon's got over 400 chapters and counting, so there's no shortage of story to tell. If Netflix gives the green light soon, we're probably looking at late 2026 or even 2027 for a release, since animation takes forever. Studio Mir's got a solid track record, but they're not rushing this one, it seems. Lookism Season 2 Potential Plot Okay, let's say Season 2 gets the go-ahead. What's in store? The first season left off right before the PaprikaTV arc, where Deok Hwa gets into live-streaming and things get spicy. Expect new faces, more drama, and deeper dives into Hyung-seok's whole 'two bodies, one soul' deal. The webtoon starts peeling back layers on other characters who can pull the same body-switch trick, like Choi Su-jeong. It's less about high school shenanigans and more about the bigger picture—still tackling how society's obsessed with looks, but with some fresh twists. The webtoon gets pretty intense later, with gang vibes and darker themes, but Season 2 would probably keep that mix of funny, heartfelt, and 'whoa, didn't see that coming' moments that made Season 1 click. More Hyung-seok figuring himself out, more punches thrown, and maybe a few tears. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication .
