H&H Bagels is doing 'Hamilton'-themed bagels and schmear in honor of musical's 10th anniversary

Time Out22-07-2025
New York's favorite bagel shop is officially in the 'room where it happens.' To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton, H&H Bagels is launching its first-ever Broadway partnership—and naturally, it's a toast to the city that birthed them both.
Starting Friday, July 25, all five H&H locations will offer two limited-time menu specials inspired by the record-breaking musical. First up: the Revolutionary Lemon Poppyseed Cream Cheese, a zesty spread with enough zing to duel a plain schmear into submission. Then there's the Taylor Hamilton Egg & Cheese, a stacked bagel sandwich featuring Taylor Ham, scrambled eggs, American cheese and a kick of hot honey, a tribute to New Jersey's favorite breakfast meat and one of New York's greatest immigrant success stories.
Both items will be available through Sunday, August 17, and the lemon poppyseed schmear will also ship nationwide. Consider it your edible souvenir of the $10 founding father.
H&H, itself a New York institution since 1972, has seen enough drama to warrant its own off-Broadway saga, including bankruptcy battles, late-night closures and a cameo on Seinfeld. But in recent years, the brand has staged a comeback worthy of a standing ovation. With a booming wholesale business, nationwide shipping and aggressive expansion plans (including 25 new locations across the U.S.), H&H is once again riding high.
As for Hamilton, the musical's legacy continues to reshape the Broadway canon and beyond. Since its 2015 debut, it's racked up 11 Tony Awards, a Pulitzer Prize, and legions of fans who can rap the entire Cabinet Battle by heart. This new collab is the perfect celebration of New York, its classics and the joy of a great bagel paired with a cultural phenomenon.
No matter if you're a lifelong Upper West Sider or a tourist on a Broadway pilgrimage, now's the time to rise up and grab a bagel. Just don't throw away your shot—these specials are gone after August 17.

My Chemical Romance set to play Wembley Stadium after UK tour tease

My Chemical Romance fans are going wild after a Wembley Stadium show was all but confirmed for an upcoming UK tour. The American emo rock legends, best known for huge hits like Welcome To The Black Parade and I'm Not Okay (I Promise), haven't performed in the UK since dates in Milton Keynes and Warrington on their postponed 2022 reunion tour. However, that looks set to change after some major teases about a UK leg of their Long Live The Black Parade Tour, which could take place in 2026. The band – featuring founding members Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Frank Iero and Ray Toro – are currently celebrating almost two decades since their iconic rock opera, and it'll be our turn soon. Last night, the official Wembley Stadium social media accounts shared a photo of the famous arch lit up red, with the group's cryptic imagery on display. Not surprisingly, fans have gone into full meltdown mode – they're really not okay. 'MY CHEM are going to play Wembley? Wild,' wrote @djrustynail, while @emobuckeybarnes added: 'MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE AT WEMBLEY STADIUM I NEED TO BE THERE (sic)' 'i'm gonna pass out i'm so excited,' @g0th1cluvr admitted, as @bearnellied said: 'Get in losers we're seeing MCR at Wembley.' Others are a little concerned at the lack of teases by other venues, and hope there are more UK dates to be confirmed. 'Please be more than just a London date,' begged @brettd1981, with many other fans making similar pleas. Considered one of the most influential bands of their era and genre, My Chem released four full studio albums and a string of Platinum-selling singles between 2003 and 2010. The band called it a day in 2013 after more than a decade in the spotlight, before reuniting for a one-off show in 2019 and announcing tour dates across the world in 2020, which were postponed until 2022 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. At this time, the band released their first new song in eight years – The Foundations of Decay – but a new album never arrived, and the reunion tour concluded in 2023. In tragic news, previous drummer Bryar was found dead at his home in November 2024, and the band played only two shows that year. MCR returned to regular live shows in July 2025 on the Long Live The Black Parade Tour and have more shows planned for 2026, and now a new video on social media recently teased a return to the UK for the first time in four years. In the video, which features a parody game show called Quizzo, the host asks says: 'Our two fine contestants will help us learn who will be the next lucky country to win the grand prize of one nuclear winter?' After one of the contestants presses a big button, the host shouts, 'Congratulations, United Kingdom!' indicating that the Teenagers hitmakers will be heading here soon. Naturally, My Chem fans have taken this news calmly. @KofidereVT said: 'My Chemical Romance may have just teased UK dates. I swear to god, I will scream to get an opportunity to see them live again. Gerard Way, don't break my heart.' @Cryophantasm jumped the gun: 'My Chemical Romance has just announced a UK tour, this is not a drill, I am going to die,' while @ArtsTinyHat said they would 'not be calm' about the news. Meanwhile, @RoozNotDead joked My Chemical Romance touring the UK would mean that their money is 'not safe'. More Trending During their heyday, My Chemical Romance scored nine top 40 singles in the UK and released two top 10 studio albums, with 2006's The Black Parade reaching number two on the album charts. Their biggest win came in October 2006 when their song Welcome to the Black Parade unexpectedly spent two weeks at number one, beating competition from the likes of Nicole Scherzinger, Girls Aloud, and Meat Loaf. Welcome to the Black Parade remains the band's most successful song to date, having been certified 2x Platinum in the UK and a whopping 7x Platinum in America. Got a story? Hamilton set to bring 'rich reward' to Plymouth

The hit musical Hamilton is set to inject about £8m to a city's economy during its five-week multi award-winning show has arrived at Theatre Royal Plymouth and boasts a 120-strong staff will be staying locally, contributing around 4,200 bed nights in nearby accommodation. One hotelier reported a rise in booking by guests travelling from further afield to stay at his B&B while attending the Jones, chair of the South West Observatory, said the show was a "rich reward" for the city, pulling in about £8m to the area. He said: "It is a huge opportunity for the South West and Plymouth, and congratulations to Theatre Royal for grabbing one of the biggest universal shows around."Hamilton has already down around $1bn (£745,575,000) turnover on its tour so far, so what it is going to bring to Plymouth is a rich reward."Mr Jones added: "Theatre Royal already does a phenomenal amount to support Plymouth's economy - roughly £40m every year." Speaking about the show, actor Billy Nevers said: "It has everything that you would expect from a musical, just with additional elements you wouldn't have seen before."We tell the story through rap, hip-hop and R&B music which is something that isn't really within the realm of musical theatre."He added: "However, we still use all the fundamental things that people recognise in a musical that makes it so incredible to watch." Ben Shearn, the owner of local cafe bar and restaurant, The Treasuary, said: "For the first few days I think we get the very keen theatre goers that are in and out of the theatre - who are here to see the show."The longer runs you then get the acts, musicians and performers who then start to explore the community by coming out to the bars or restaurants."That's why the longer runs are actually really healthy for the economy." Olive Acaster runs the Mariners guest house, a local bed and breakfast close to the city said: "I'm seeing a change in bookings - people are coming from further afield to watch."The longer that the show is running, the more opportunity they have to make time and come out to see the show."Theatre Royal Plymouth confirmed that audience members are already booked from as far as Australia, USA, Malaysia, China and Singapore to see the show.
