Air Arabia begins accepting cryptocurrency payments for tickets

ALBAWABA – Air Arabia, the Emirati low-cost airline, has announced that it will now accept cryptocurrency payments for ticket purchases through a partnership with Maryah Community Bank (Mbank). The budget carrier partnered with Maryah Community Bank (Mbank), UAE's first digital bank, to establish a comprehensive cryptocurrency payment system. The company stated that this new decision aims to ensure price stability, enhanced security, and low transaction fees.
Air Arabia will launch a stablecoin-based payment system and will enable AE Coin payments for flight bookings through the AEC Wallet app. When booking tickets on the airline's website, users will see the AEC Wallet option at checkout.

The facility will be home to a diverse selection of climate-suitable species, including Acacias, Citrus, Ficus, Melia, Phoenix, Tecomella, Ziziphus, and the iconic Ghaf. All species have been procured from Egypt (Nile Delta), India, Thailand, and the UAE – including Fujairah, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Abu Woods is redefining the concept of living with nature and this milestone is a demonstration of the unique offering it brings. The development's forest ecosystem is set to outnumber residents and serve as a vital 'Green Lung' delivering up to 20% cleaner air and temperatures up to five degrees Celsius cooler than other areas of the city. AUB Announces Plans for School of Computing and Data Sciences
The American University of Beirut (AUB) held a project launch event on May 29, 2025, to announce the forthcoming establishment of a School of Computing and Data Sciences (SCDS) at the university. The event was held as part of the annual meetings of the AUB Board of Trustees, in the presence of upper administration, faculty and researchers, partners, distinguished guests, and media representatives.'The School of Computing and Data Sciences will be our answer—not a reaction, but a deliberate next step in a shared vision that emphasizes the need to remain agile and forward-thinking as we navigate the rapidly changing global landscape. A keystone of the VITAL 2030 strategic plan,' said AUB President Dr. Fadlo Khuri. 'It is envisioned to welcome and nurture students who will learn to ask deep and impactful questions, to model the world with courage and humility, and to imagine and shape futures where technology is not an escape from complexity, but a deep engagement with it.'The establishment of a School of Computing and Data Sciences was approved through a unanimous vote by the Board of Trustees in June 2024, and will offer bachelor's, master's, and PhD degrees.
