Manchester United legend Wazza, 39, had a go on several thrilling rides.
But despite his reputation as a football hardman, Rooney could only grimace as he whizzed round the tracks at lightning speed.
Youngest children Kit, 9, and Cass, 7, also looked petrified as they soaked up the thrill-seeking atmosphere.
However, Rooney's wife Coleen appeared right at home.

The 39-year-old is still basking in the glory of her second-place finish in last year's edition of 'I'm a Celeb'.
Coleen was forced to battle the likes of snakes, spiders and other gruesome creatures while in the Australian jungle.
So riding a few simple rollercoasters will have been a walk in the park.
And Coleen showed no signs of fear as she instead SMILED while sitting next to her distressed hubby.

She posted the photos to her Instagram account, with a caption reading: 'Alton Towers is always a great half term trip.
'We had a fantastic time as always… thanks for looking after us.'

Rooney will be hoping his time at Alton Towers helps him relax after another tense season in the dugout.
After being sacked by Birmingham last year, he took up a role with newly-promoted Plymouth Argyle.
But the Premier League icon managed just five wins from 25 matches and was sacked on New Year's Eve.
Rooney was replaced by Miron Muslic, who was unable to save Argyle from relegation.

However, he has now jumped ship for fallen German giants Schalke, with Jack Wilshere now favourite to take charge in Devon.

Jessie J's celebrity friends leave touching messages of hope amid cancer journey
Jessie J, famed for Price Tag, Domino and other tunes, has been diagnosed with early breast cancer and plans to have surgery following her performance at this month's Summertime Ball Jessie J has received messages of support from celebrity friends - including Rochelle Humes - after announcing she has cancer. The singer, 37, said she will have surgery after her performance at the Summertime Ball and remained optimistic she will return with more hits. However, she admitted she "needs a hug" through the difficult time, having been diagnosed with the breast cancer at an early stage. Friends quickly shared messages of support, telling the songwriter how much they love her. Humes, who presents The Hit List with husband Marvin, said: "We love you so much." Former Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock added: "Sending you so much love" amid the flurry of public messages. And the rapper Wretch 32, whose real name is Jermaine Scott, said: "Continued strength and guidance, you're loved and you're cared for, you fight my gangster." Jessie J, born and raised in Chadwell Heath, east London, said in an Instagram video yesterday she has spent much of her recent time "in and out of tests". She stressed, though, she is "holding on to the word 'early'" and is looking at surgery in the coming weeks. But the musician, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, says she will still perform at the Capital's Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on Sunday June 15. She is on the line-up alongside the likes of Mariah Carey, Benson Boone and Tate Mcrae. Speaking in the Instagram clip, Jessie J said: "I just wanted to be open and share it... One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. "I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I'm an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse - that's the bit that kills me. "The timing of it has been mad but also beautiful and given me this incredible perspective in this time. But honestly I need to process it and talk about it and, I need a hug. You have loved me through all my good and hard times. And I don't want this to be any different." The singer, who won the Critic's Choice award at the Brits in 2011, welcomed her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in 2023, having miscarried in November 2021. She has battled with ill health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020. Claire Taylor, chief nursing officer at Macmillan Cancer Support, said: "Receiving a cancer diagnosis is a life-changing moment for anybody and our thoughts are with Jessie and her family. "Her openness in sharing her story will not only bring comfort to others who are facing a similar situation, it will also raise vital awareness of breast cancer and the importance of early diagnosis. We know that diagnosing cancer early can mean treatment is more likely to be effective and potentially less complex."

Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins on ‘ridiculous' feud rumours
There has been speculation that the two co-stars had drifted apart after being on the HBO show, which follows the lives of guests and staff at a luxury resort as dark secrets are revealed and tensions rise over the course of the holiday. The third series sees the positive Chelsea, played by British actress Wood, 31, try to keep her mysterious older boyfriend, Rick, played by 53-year-old US actor Goggins, calm in Thailand. Following the 2025 series, Goggins appeared to step away from his fellow co-stars, and unfollow Greater Manchester-born Wood on Instagram. They both addressed the swirling rumours during a joint interview for US publication Variety, which was published on Wednesday. Goggins said: 'There is no feud. I adore, I love this woman (Aimee) madly, and she is so important to me.' He added that 'she's special', and explained he had not addressed the reports before as he did not want to talk about Wood when she was not there. 'I think it's such a comment on where we're at culturally. Why is everyone obsessing over Instagram? That is irrelevant. We don't give a shite about Instagram,' Wood said. Goggins said that when he finished The White Lotus he 'needed to just back away from everyone', as it is his 'process' when filming a project ends. 'It's all so ridiculous,' he said. 'It's just a part of me just saying goodbye to this character so that now Aimee and I will be friends for f****** ever.' Wood previously criticised a Saturday Night Live sketch, with an cast member impersonating her with exaggerated prosthetic teeth, calling it 'mean and unfunny' on Instagram. She told Variety that it 'felt misogynistic. It felt like the punchline was a woman's appearance, which is just not funny. It's not cool'. Goggins shared the same sketch online and praised Jon Hamm for playing a version of his character, before deleting the Instagram post, ahead of hosting SNL> He said he was 'gonna say it (something) to your face', and added: 'I don't use social media in any way, and I'm not a mean guy.' SNL apologised for the April sketch, according to Wood, and the comedian and cast member who impersonated her, Sarah Sherman, sent her flowers to apologise. Wood is also known for Netflix teen show Sex Education, BBC comedy Daddy Issues and the 2022 drama film Living with Bill Nighy. Goggins has been in Western series Justified, post-apocalyptic series Fallout, and drama Sons Of Anarchy. He has had two Emmy nods, while Wood has won a TV Bafta for Sex Education and been given a Rising Star Bafta nomination.

Ivan Toney says he never feared Saudi Arabia move would end his England career
The 29-year-old has been recalled for the first time since making a money-spinning switch from Brentford to Al-Ahli, shortly after helping Gareth Southgate's side reach the Euro 2024 final. Toney was overlooked by interim boss Lee Carsley in the autumn and left out of Thomas Tuchel's first selection in charge but the England boss stressed in March that it was nothing to do with him playing in the Saudi Pro League. The striker appreciated the German coach calling him with that explanation and is even more grateful after recalling him for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Andorra and the home friendly against Senegal next week. 😃 @ivantoney24 — England (@England) June 2, 2025 'It's always tough missing out on a squad, but I think that's part of the game,' Toney said. 'You have to be strong, you have to stick at it and keep doing what you do best and I managed to do that and I managed to get the recall, which was a nice feeling.' Asked if he thought moving to the Saudi Pro League may affect his England chances, he said at their training camp in Girona: 'No. 'You see with me I think if you're just doing the right thing, playing football, playing well and scoring goals – a striker's job, that's what you're in a team to do – it doesn't matter where you play in the world, I feel like you should still get the chance. 'I think it's been proven me being me being back here and being back amongst the boys. 'It feels good to see the faces again and it feels good to get stuck in.' Toney admitted the first month following August's switch was 'tough' but credits the string of loans during the early part of his career for aiding his adaptation to new surroundings in the Middle East. The striker went onto score 23 goals in 30 Saudi Pro League appearances for Al-Ahli, helping the side to win the AFC Champions League Elite competition. 💚💚💚💚💚 — Ivan Toney (@ivantoney24) May 4, 2025 'I feel like I'm in good form,' Toney said. 'As you see, I'm here, I'm still scoring goals. 'I have a lot to give. All the time I want to improve, become a better player and try and help others around me. 'So, hopefully I can keep doing that and be in the mix for the World Cup.' Toney is bidding to be among a number of Saudi-based players starring at next year's World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico. There is a push for more stars to head there – with Al-Hilal falling short in their bid to coax Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes – and the striker believes the competition is far better than some suggest. 'Everyone always has their opinion,' Toney said. 'They're going to have their opinion on everything. 'You have to witness it and be there to realise what it's like. You can't have an opinion on something you've never seen. 'People always just assume certain things about things without seeing it, so I suggest people have a look before they start making judgements. 'It's tough, it's not easy. There's some good footballers and it's going in the right direction and I'm sure it will continue to do that over the years.'
