Mark Cuban
's stint on
Shark Tank
has finally ended.
On Friday, May 16, the 66-year-old wealthy businessman signed his final contract (with a luxury deviled egg firm!) after 14 years on the long-running show. At the end of the milestone episode, Cuban reflected on his impact on
entrepreneurship
over the previous 15 seasons.
"I remember thinking, 'This concert will not last. "Just go there, tear it up, raise Hell, and cause trouble," he admitted. "I wasn't expecting a third season, and then, boom. "It just exploded."
Ironically, Cuban joined the ABC hit's main ensemble in season 3 after making multiple guest appearances the previous year.
"I think I just brought a little bit of an edge, where I tried to make it not so much about an academic investment show, but more a show that is about people trying to reach their goals, trying to have their dreams come true," he told me about his accomplishment.
"I have been in their shoes. I've been broke and have been sleeping on the floor. I can put myself in the shoes of almost everyone standing on the carpet.
Some of the entrepreneurs Cuban invested in returned at the end to thank him for his help.
"Our lives have completely changed since getting a deal with Mark," stated the creators of
BeatBox Beverages
, which signed a deal with Cuban in season 6. "We're over $350 million in lifetime sales."
The faces of
Dude Wipes
announced that they have sold over half a billion dollars since their pitch in season 7.
"We're so grateful to Mark and to Shark Tank for where we are today," said one of them.
"What I'd like to say is, thanks to everybody who took a chance on me, all the entrepreneurs who said yes to me," Cuban explained a moment later. "Who knows how many millionaires and their employees we've produced, or how many people we've inspired? I'm proud of what we've accomplished.
Mark's fellow Sharks wrapped the season 16 finale with an emotional toast to Cuban.
"Mark, having you leave is really like having a big brother leave the house," Barbara Corcoran said, followed by Lori Greiner: "You're a warrior, you're a humanitarian, you're just an all-around great, great person." And I adore, respect, and love you.
Robert Herjavec stated that he has "learnt a lot" from his time working with Cuban, while Daymond John stated that he "changed the world."
Kevin O'Leary, moved to tears, went on to commend Cuban for the impression he left on everyone who knows or admires him.
"I'm so proud of what we've all built together," he told me. "We've become global ambassadors for the American Dream. So much of it is due to you. We do not always agree. We do not. And sometimes you have learnt a lot from me!"
"You guys are amazing," Cuban responded. "I mean, I've learnt so much from everyone of you. We've made such an impact. And to Shark Tank, to all who have supported and loved us, I adore you all like family. "Thank you."
In the last moments, Cuban made one final remark. 'This show changed me. I think I changed the show. And I think we all together as Sharks changed America.'

Alf Clausen, Iconic 'Simpsons' Composer and Emmy Winner, Dies at 84

Alf Clausen , the iconic composer whose work shaped the soundtrack of " The Simpsons " for almost three decades, has passed away at 84 after a long fight against Parkinson's disease . Clausen died at his residence in Los Angeles , according to his daughter, Kaarin Clausen. His death signals the closing of a chapter in television music, especially animation. A Minneapolis native who grew up in Jamestown, North Dakota, Clausen graduated in 1966 from Berklee College of Music and started out in Los Angeles, first as a musical director for variety programs such as Donny & Marie and later as a television scorer. His first big break was with the ABC series "Moonlighting" and the TV sitcom ALF, but it was his time with "The Simpsons" that made him a legend. Clausen was added to The Simpsons staff in its second season, in 1990, and ended up writing nearly 600 original scores for the series—more than any other television show. Danny Elfman wrote the show's signature theme, while Clausen wrote the episode scores, leading a 35-piece orchestra every week to bring the cartoon world to life. He was nominated for 30 Emmys—21 for "The Simpsons"—and won twice, with five Annie Awards as well for his work. Al Jean, a longtime writer and producer, stated, 'Clausen was an incredibly talented man who contributed immensely to The Simpsons. Clausen himself once described the role as a dream job, recalling creator Matt Groening's advice: 'We're not a cartoon. We're a drama with drawn characters. I want you to grade it as a drama." This mindset made Clausen emphasize the emotional subtext of each episode, accentuating the show's long-term appeal across generations. Clausen's 2017 firing on cost-cutting grounds was greeted by general dismay from fans and industry colleagues. Nonetheless, his legacy persists, with producers dedicating him "composer emeritus" for his enormous contribution. Live Events Alf Clausen leaves behind a legacy of musical achievement that raised the bar for animated television and inspired scores of composers to follow.

Diddy Trial Day 13: Victim 4 Mia Claims Rapper Threatened to Kill Her, Recalls Suffering 'Night Terrors'

Trigger Warning: This article contains mentions of s*xual abuse. On the 13th day of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' trial, his former assistant, testifying under the pseudonym Mia, spoke about years of alleged threats, abuse, and fear. Prosecutor Madison Smyser began by questioning Mia about her trip to South Africa with singer Cassie Ventura in October 2015. Mia said that during the trip, Cassie discovered that Diddy was allegedly cheating on her. The jury was shown WhatsApp messages from that time between Mia and Diddy's chief of staff, Kristina Khorram. In the messages, Mia told Khorram that Diddy was slurring his words and had threatened to take job and kill her. When asked how the threats made her feel, Mia said she was 'desperate to make it right, terrified and sad.' She also revealed she was suffering from anxiety and "night terrors" because of her time working for Diddy. Another WhatsApp exchange between Diddy and Mia from October 31, 2015, was shown in court. In it, Diddy appeared to pressure Mia, writing, 'If you don't call me now f*ck it all… Let's go to war.'* Mia explained that Diddy was upset about a TV comedy show she wrote, which had been bought by ABC but never aired. She believed he was threatening to expose past s*xual assaults but twist the story to blame her. Mia told the jury that not following Diddy's orders could mean losing her job or facing emotional or physical abuse. 'I was scared of him,' she said. She also described an earlier incident from 2010 on a yacht in St. Barts. Diddy allegedly asked her to count money in a safe, and when she did, he became angry and chased her out of the room. 'I just wanted to leave the country,' Mia recalled. Mia also testified about being suspended in 2011 for buying the wrong workout gear and said she was denied pay during the suspension. She continued working for Combs until 2017, explaining, 'I tried to run away before and it didn't work.' She added that Diddy had the power to ruin her career if she left. She said, "He would have destroyed my reputation.'
