Two WWE Superstars May Be Leaving The Company

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources.
The WWE future of Karrion Kross and Scarlett is in serious doubt as their contracts with the company are reportedly set to expire this weekend. A new report indicates that as of Monday afternoon, no new deal had been offered to the duo.
Kross and Scarlett were noticeably absent from the August 4th episode of Monday Night Raw, and they were not backstage at the event. This has fueled intense speculation about their status with the company.
A Looming WWE Deadline
A new report from Fightful Select has confirmed that the contracts for both Karrion Kross and Scarlett are due to expire this coming weekend. A WWE higher-up noted that new deals had not yet been offered to either performer.
This news comes just days after Kross concluded a high-profile feud with Sami Zayn at SummerSlam. The uncertainty surrounding his contract has become one of the biggest backstage stories in WWE.
WWE Career of Creative Extremes
Karrion Kross's WWE journey has been a rollercoaster of creative highs and lows. During his first run in NXT, he was booked as an unstoppable monster, and with Scarlett by his side, he became a dominant, two-time NXT Champion. However, his initial main roster debut in 2021 is considered one of the biggest fumbles in recent history, as he was stripped of his character and lost his first match, which killed his momentum and led to his release.

The WWE logo is seen on the front of the WWE wrestling world headquarters on January 28, 2024 in Stamford, Connecticut. WWE founder Vince McMahon resigned from the WWE and its parent company TKO as executive chairman and its board of directors following allegations of sexual assault made public in a lawsuit in Connecticut. A former employee Janel Grant accused McMahon, 78, of sexual assault and sexually trafficking her. MoreHe was brought back by the new creative regime in 2022 with his full character restored. While his second run has been more successful, it has also been marked by inconsistent booking, with pushes that have often been stopped and started, which has reportedly been a source of professional frustration.

A Recent WWE Resurgence
In recent months, Kross has seen a career resurgence, largely thanks to a groundswell of fan support. The "We Want Kross" movement on social media led to him being featured more prominently and adopting a more intense, personal character. This culminated in a long-running feud with one of Raw's top babyfaces, Sami Zayn.
Despite losing to Zayn at both Night of Champions and this past weekend's SummerSlam, Kross's performance and character work were highly praised. With his popularity on the rise, the news of his potential departure is a puzzling development. The clock is now ticking for WWE and Kross to come to terms on a new agreement.

Brooke Hogan Questions Why Dad Hulk Hogan Was Cremated Without an Autopsy

'I do think it's weird that no autopsy was performed, because yes, you can have a heart attack but what was the reason for the heart attack is the question,' Hogan said on TuesdayNEED TO KNOW Brooke Hogan detailed her father's health history while calling in to the Bubba the Love Sponge Show on Tuesday, Aug. 5 The daughter of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan was estranged from her father Brooke's husband Steven Oleksy previously told PEOPLE that Hulk Hogan had "no interest" in meeting their newborn twinsBrooke Hogan is calling into question why an autopsy was not performed on her father Hulk Hogan. In a guest spot on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show, the legendary WWE wrestler's daughter shared on Tuesday, Aug. 5 that she still is filling in the blanks as to what led to her estranged father's death. 'I do think it's weird that no autopsy was performed, because yes, you can have a heart attack but what was the reason for the heart attack is the question,' Hogan, 37, told the host about her father, who died in Clearwater, Fla. on Thursday, July 24. 'Because he was up and doing breathing exercises and stuff. That means that the surgery on his heart was a success and it was working.' Hogan suffered from atrial fibrillation, a common disorder that causes irregular heart beats, and also had a history of leukemia at the time of his death, according to medical records obtained by PEOPLE. Brooke said her father — with whom she hadn't been in contact with for the last two years — 'had so many ablations and cardioversions' in the past, which were interventions done to treat his symptoms and to prolong his life. 'I remember back then praying, 'Dear God, please don't let this be the day my dad dies,' ' she recalled. 'But he got through all of it.' According to the dispatch call on the day of his death, police and medics were called to Hogan's residence at 9:51 a.m. for a person suffering cardiac arrest. First responders attempted to revive Hogan for 30 minutes, according to dispatch audio obtained and reviewed by PEOPLE, and then he was taken to a local hospital where he was declared dead. Hogan's primary care doctor certified his cause of death, according to medical records obtained by PEOPLE, and the Hogan Knows Best alum was then cremated. In her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Brooke doubled down on her opinion that he should have received an autopsy, writing 'thank you' and 'exactly' alongside a headline from a WWE website that read: 'Quick Cremation Without Autopsy Raises Questions About Hulk Hogan's Death.' Brooke's comments are among the first she has made since her father's death late last month. Last week, her husband former NHL player Steven Oleksy posted an Instagram Story confirming that he and Brooke have been grieving "privately' since Hogan's death. Oleksy previously told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that their estrangement 'had nothing to do with his new wife' Sky Daily, whom he married in 2023. "My wife will say it — it had nothing to do with his new wife. It had to do with the way he treated [Brooke]," Oleksy said. Oleksy also told PEOPLE Hogan had "no interest" in meeting their twins, who were born in January. Over time, the support Brooke had given her father — who was embroiled in several controversies during his career, including using racial slurs towards his daughter's ex-boyfriend in a leaked audio recording — had "really taken a toll on her," says her husband. "It was a situation where she loved her dad very, very much," Olesky told PEOPLE. Read the original article on People

Dozens gather at Florida church for Hulk Hogan's funeral service

LARGO, Fla. (AP) — Dozens of people gathered Tuesday evening at a funeral service for famed wrestler Hulk Hogan, who died last month at 71. The private service was held at the same church where Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, was baptized in 2023. He died after suffering a heart attack July 24 at his home in Clearwater, according to the Pinellas County medical examiner. Hogan previously had leukemia and atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm, the examiner's report said. His death was declared to be natural. The service was heavily patrolled by church security and Largo police officers, including K-9 dogs. Anyone not on the guest list was turned away near signs that read, 'Private Event.' President Donald Trump posted a photo on his Truth Social platform showing him arm wrestling Hogan, saying, 'They are having the 'Hulkster's' funeral today, and I thought everybody would enjoy seeing this picture.' Gov. Ron DeSantis ordered flags flown at half-staff at all official buildings last Friday, which he declared 'Hulk Hogan Day in Florida.' Hogan was perhaps the biggest star in WWE's long history, known for both his larger-than-life personality and his in-ring exploits. He was the main draw for the first WrestleMania in 1985 and was a fixture for years, facing everyone from Andre The Giant and Randy Savage to The Rock and even WWE co-founder Vince McMahon. Hogan was also a celebrity outside the wrestling world, appearing in numerous movies and television shows, including 'Hogan Knows Best,' a reality show about his life on VH1. Hogan's body will be cremated. His daughter Brooke Bollea Oleksy, better known by her stage name Brooke Hogan, memorialized her father in a recent social media post. 'I am so grateful I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens,' she wrote on Instagram. Curt Anderson, The Associated Press
