UNRWA: Israel Starves a Million Children in Gaza

Khaberni21-07-2025
Khaberni -UNRWA stated on Sunday that Israel is deliberately starving civilians in Gaza, including a million children, many of whom are suffering from malnutrition and are at risk of death.
The agency clarified that it has enough food for all the residents of Gaza for more than three months, stored in warehouses on the Egyptian side of the Rafah border crossing.
On its X platform account, UNRWA called for lifting the blockade on the Gaza Strip and allowing the entry of food and medicine.
The international agency stated, "Lift the blockade: Allow UNRWA to bring in food and medicine.
UNRWA appealed to the Israeli authorities saying, "Lift the blockade, allow UNRWA to do its work and help those in need, including a million children."
This comes amid an increase in the number of children who have died due to malnutrition in Gaza to 71 children, according to the Media Office in Gaza.
Earlier, Hamas announced an urgent popular and official mobilization to stop this heinous crime and save hundreds of thousands of starving people who are besieged.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Jihad Movement said that the cases of starvation and mass death in Gaza are the result of systematic occupation policies, adding that "the occupying army has established a militarized network through what is called the Gaza Humanitarian Institution and turned it into traps to kill the starving."
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, which includes killing, starving, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international calls and orders issued by the International Court of Justice to stop it.
The genocide has resulted in more than 198,000 Palestinians killed or injured - most of them children and women - in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that has claimed the lives of many residents of the sector.
The Media Office confirmed that the number of deaths due to lack of food and medicine has risen to 620 amid intensifying famine and prevention of the humanitarian distribution of aid.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that unprecedented numbers of starving citizens of all ages are reaching emergency departments in conditions of severe exhaustion and fatigue. It warned that hundreds of those whose bodies were emaciated would be prone to inevitable death due to hunger and their bodies' inability to endure.

FM, UAE counterpart discuss efforts to deliver aid to Gaza

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi, today, received a phone call from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The two ministers talked about working together to provide humanitarian relief to Gaza during the call. The two sides talked about measures to strengthen efforts to continue delivering humanitarian aid to the Strip in collaboration with other nations through coordinated airdrop operations and land crossings. Yesterday, France, Germany, and Spain joined Jordan and the United Arab Emirates in an assistance airdrop. Safadi and Sheikh Abdullah emphasized that airdrops are not a replacement for ground help and that all crossings must be opened to enable the timely and sufficient entry of humanitarian aid throughout the Gaza Strip. The two ministers underlined the necessity of coordinating all efforts in order to establish an exchange agreement, secure a permanent and immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and guarantee the entry of adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid into the Strip, which is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis that has been made worse by Israeli aggression. The two ministers confirmed the depth of the two nations' long-standing fraternal ties, which are headed by His Majesty King Abdullah II and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in order to explore new avenues for collaboration across a range of fields.

Hamas accuses Trump of backing 'Israel's' starvation campaign in Gaza

Hamas official Izzat al-Rishq issued a scathing statement on Friday, condemning US President Donald Trump for echoing 'Israeli' accusations that the group is stealing and selling humanitarian aid intended for civilians in Gaza. 'Trump never tires of repeating Israeli accusations and lies — and we will never tire of rejecting and refuting them,' Rishq declared, denouncing the president's claims as baseless and misleading. Rishq insisted that allegations of aid theft by Hamas have been repeatedly disproven, citing findings from international bodies, including the United Nations. He also referenced a recent internal investigation by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), which found no evidence that Hamas was intercepting or diverting humanitarian supplies. 'These allegations absolve the criminal and place blame on the victim,' he said, accusing Trump of spreading misinformation to shield 'Israel' from responsibility for what he described as 'systematic starvation and genocide' in the Gaza Strip. According to Rishq, the crisis in Gaza is a result of 'Israeli' policies backed by Washington, including the use of food and medicine as tools of war against more than two million people under siege. He urged the US administration to 'stop viewing the situation through Israeli eyes' and to assume what he described as its moral and legal responsibilities. Rishq called on Washington to denounce the blockade, stop shielding 'Israel' diplomatically, and support the unconditional entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. He also rejected the use of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) as a distribution channel, claiming it is being used as a trap for those in desperate need. 'Aid must be distributed through the United Nations,' he emphasized.

"They eat what we eat": Hamas shows 'Israeli' captive's health decline in new footage

Hamas released a new video on Friday featuring Evyatar David, an 'Israeli' captive who turned 24 while in captivity, appearing visibly frail inside a narrow concrete tunnel. The video, intended as a message to the Israeli Occupation government, draws a stark comparison between David's deteriorating condition and the suffering of children in Gaza, showing haunting images of bone-thin, malnourished Palestinian children. The footage portrays David sitting silently in what appears to be a dimly lit underground corridor, his face thin and body emaciated, signaling severe health decline. The video then cuts to scenes of Gaza's humanitarian crisis, severely undernourished children with sunken eyes and protruding ribs, a visual juxtaposition aimed at underscoring the shared cost of the ongoing war. Alongside the images, Hamas included statements holding the Israeli Occupation government directly responsible for the condition of its captives. One message in the video reads, 'He hoped to be released by a deal. The occupation government has decided to starve them. They eat what we eat, they drink what we drink.' The video also features clips of 'Israeli' officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, suggesting that the leadership's refusal to agree to a prisoner exchange deal is contributing to the worsening conditions of captives held in Gaza. Hamas claims that 'Israeli' captives, like the people of Gaza, are now suffering from hunger and medical neglect due to the collapse of supply lines and the 'Israeli' government's ongoing military policies. By stating, 'they eat what we eat,' Hamas is signaling that captives are surviving on the same minimal rations as Gaza residents amid the blockade and destruction.
