Jamie Foxx has finally spoken out following claims that P Diddy had allegedly tried to kill him. The legendary actor issued a seven-word comment following the speculation that emerged in 2023.
Foxx was left hospitalised for several weeks after suffering a bleed on his brain and a hemorrhagic stroke. At the time, it was speculated that he was gravely ill. Just months after being admitted to the hospital for a medical emergency, Jamie took to social media in July of the same year to tell fans he had been to "hell and back."
Following a year of speculation, Jamie announced last year the reason behind his hospitalisation after initially suffering from a bad headache, before blacking out and remaining unconscious for "weeks." At the time, social media speculation about Jamie's condition was rife, and it was speculated that disgraced musician P Diddy had been behind the incident.
Diddy is currently on trial for a number of serious charges – unrelated to the Jamie Foxx claims – including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution. He was arrested in September and denies all allegations made against him. He is currently on trial in New York.
"I couldn't get my mind around the fact that I had a stroke, I'm in f*****g perfect shape," Jamie said. He went on to address the speculations surrounding himself and Diddy. "No, Puffy didn't try to kill me," he explained.
Speaking on The Hollywood Reporter Roundtable, Jamie also addressed the conspiracy theory that he was a "clone". He said: "When they [conspiracy theorists] said I was a clone, that made me flip. I', sitting in the hospital bed, like, 'These b***-a** mother******s are trying to clone me,' and then I saw me walk into my room, but I'm white, so I see the white me. The next morning, I said, 'I know what's up, you're trying to clone me and make me white so I'll sell better overseas'".
Jamie's comment made a psychiatrist ask the star: "Are you alright?" to which he responded: "Am I all right or am I all white? I saw you trying to get the white motherf*****g Jamie Foxx and it ain't going to happen."
In October 2024, a source close to Diddy told the MailOnline that there was "no truth" behind speculation that the musician was responsible for "putting Jamie Foxx in the hospital."
This isn't the first time Jamie has spoken out about the music mogul, in his Netflix special, What Had Happened Was... He took a few swipes at Diddy. He said: "I say this sall the time, I saw the tunnel, I didn't see the light.
"'It was hot in that tunnel. I thought, s**t, have I gone to the wrong place? I looked at the end of the tunnel and I thought I saw the devil saying come on… Or was that Puffy? I'm f*****g around, but if that was Puffy he had a flaming bottle of Johnson and… no, I'm just kidding," referencing Diddy's use of Johnson and Johnson baby oil.
He also addressed Diddy's infamous Freak Offs, saying: "The internet was trying to kill me, saying Puffy was trying to kill me. Hell no, I left those parties early, something didn't look right. The internet was trying to kill me. The internet was saying that Puffy was trying to kill me. I know what you're thinking… Did he?!
"Hell, no, I left them parties early. I was out by 9, n*****, something don't look right, n*****. It looks slippery in here!"

Michael Schumacher's three visitors as truth about F1 icon's condition emerges
Michael Schumacher has not been seen in public since his skiing accident in 2013 and few people know the true extent of his condition - but some details have emerged from his inner circle For over a decade now, only a tight circle of Michael Schumacher's closest confidants have been aware of the full details of his medical condition. Despite a flurry of speculation, persistent media chatter, and even shocking attempts at extortion, solid information remains extremely limited. While much of the curiosity is rooted in widespread admiration for the Formula 1 legend, the public's persistent interest largely stems from how little is truly known about his current situation. Corinna Schumacher, his wife, has led efforts to strictly guard the now 56-year-old's privacy ever since his devastating ski accident in December 2013. Schumacher sustained severe brain trauma after hitting his head on a rock while skiing with his then 14-year-old son, Mick. He was placed in a medically induced coma for more than eight months and has not made a single public appearance since the accident. Since then, Corinna has overseen his care primarily at their Lake Geneva residence. Only selected healthcare workers and a few trusted individuals have been permitted to see him. Reports now suggest the family also lives part-time at a specially adapted estate in Mallorca. Corinna has remained largely silent regarding his health, speaking only occasionally in public. She has not revealed any significant medical updates and has continually asked for privacy. In the 2021 Netflix documentary, she said: "We're trying to carry on as a family, the way Michael liked it and still does. And we are getting on with our lives. It's very important to me that he can continue to enjoy his private life as much as possible. Michael always protected us, and now we are protecting Michael." Eddie Jordan, a close family friend who passed away in March, commented in 2023: "This was the most horrific situation. Corinna has not been able to go to a party, to lunch or this or that – she's like a prisoner, because everyone would want to talk to her about Michael when she doesn't need reminding of it every minute." False hope and misinformation Various optimistic stories have emerged in recent times, suggesting improvements in Schumacher's condition. Last year, German outlets reported that Schumacher might have attended his daughter Gina-Maria's wedding to Iain Bethke, where guests were allegedly asked to surrender their phones to ensure no images of Michael leaked. However, these reports were later dismissed. Further hope gained traction when Schumacher's signature appeared on a helmet for racing legend Jackie Stewart as part of a charity auction. Former team-mate Johnny Herbert speculated this indicated positive progress and promise that we could one day see Schumacher in the F1 paddock again, reports Wales Online. Nonetheless, it was later confirmed Corinna assisted in signing the helmet. More reliable sources close to the family maintain that Schumacher is still mostly bedridden and unable to speak. Former Ferrari boss Flavio Briatore this week shared: "If I close my eyes, I see him smiling after a victory. I prefer to remember him like that rather than him just lying on a bed. Corinna and I talk often, though." Speaking to the Telegraph, Elisabetta Gregoraci, his ex-wife, has now said: "Michael doesn't speak, he communicates with his eyes. Only three people can visit him and I know who they are." These individuals are believed to be Ferrari's Jean Todt and Ross Brawn, and ex-driver Gerhard Berger. Todt, one of Schumacher's closest allies, visits frequently and watches races with the family. He has stated: "There's no longer the same communication as before. The family has decided not to answer the question [regarding Schumacher's condition], a choice that I respect. "I see him regularly and with affection, him and his family. Our bond goes beyond the past work. It is part of my life, which today is very far from Formula 1." Schumacher 'partly helpless' In March, German journalist Felix Gorner provided a more candid picture of Schumacher's situation, saying: "He is a person dependent on caregivers, who can no longer express himself through language. We're just clinging to hope, to a straw. But he's simply not well, so we won't see him again." It was earlier reported ahead of the 10-year mark since the accident that Schumacher receives 24-hour medical supervision from a team of around 15 staff. Amid the tight veil of secrecy, the family was targeted by a criminal group attempting to extort £12million in exchange for private images and medical data. Three men were charged in Wuppertal, Germany, for the plot, including Markus Fritsche and Yilmaz Tozturkan, who made the threats. Fritsche received a suspended two-year sentence, and IT worker Daniel Lins avoided jail with a six-month suspended term. The family has appealed the decision, finding the penalties too lenient. Prosecutors revealed that the stolen material showed Schumacher "partly helpless, in need of care and visibly marked" by his injuries. At present, the prospect of a public return remains highly unlikely, despite the hope given to fans by recent reports.

Game shows are the stalwarts of teatime telly - regularly pulling in millions of viewers. For many, the early evenings would not pass in quite the same way without older favourites like Pointless or The Chase - or newer shows such as The 1% Club. As some of the stars of the small screen schedule, they are all homegrown - Hertfordshire and Greater Manchester are among the not so far-flung climes where these big hitter quizzes are filmed. No such luck for our stateside counterparts - American game show hosts like Oscar winner Jamie Foxx and Brat Pack's Rob Lowe have a little further to go. Around 5,000 miles, to put a finer point on it. That is because many top US quiz shows are not filmed in Tinseltown but in Ireland - and it has much bigger consequences for Hollywood than just travel time. In 2020, Matt Damon came to the south Dublin coastal village of Dalkey to film Ridley Scott's 2021 historical drama The Last Duel. With filming suspended as the pandemic raged, Matt, his wife and three children temporarily made the country their home. Irish talent has also made a major splash in international TV and film in recent years. Most notably, Cillian Murphy won the Oscar for Best Actor for Oppenheimer - while the world fawns over Irish exports Paul Mescal and Barry Keoghan, who account for half of Sam Mendes' upcoming four Beatles biopics. But where the influence of the Emerald Isle has gone unnoticed is in the somewhat more niche realm of American game shows - only briefly mentioned in the credits of stateside favourites like Don't Forget The Lyrics, Name That Tune and Beat Shazam. Its attractions are manifold, with big tax breaks and talented production teams - and it was only in 2021 that Uncle Sam began to capitalise on them. When making The Big Deal - a talent show with cash prize peril - network Fox realised it would be cheaper to pilot the format abroad. With a single pilot episode shot in America costing more than six whole episodes filmed in Ireland, it was a no-brainer. Admittedly, a major aspect of this, Irish producer Shane Byrne told The Telegraph, is British and Irish crews are not as unionised as their Hollywood counterparts - slashing staffing costs. Presenter Vogue Williams and judges including Boy George and JLS's Aston Merrygold were flown in to join Irish panellists including X Factor Dubliners Jedward for filming at Dublin's 3Arena. And lo and behold, the pilot aired in Ireland got execs what they wanted - they used it to pitch the American version Fame Or Fortune in 2022, Deadline Hollywood reported. The success opened a can of worms for American broadcaster Fox, who soon moved filming of other big titles to Ireland - namely Don't Forget The Lyrics, Name That Tune and Gordon Ramsay's Next Level Chef. But while the books balance that little bit more across the pond, relocation means greater attention has to be paid to giving Irish-filmed shows that distinctive all-American look, Shane explained. The producer, who boasts a portfolio including Big Brother, The X Factor, Britain's Got Talent and Strictly Come Dancing, said this involves ensuring a glossy, high-budget feel - and a distinctively American tone - is reproduced. And the intake for the audience is, in some senses, a far less broad church than in the UK, where game shows often offer tickets out to members of the public. For American shows, by contrast, which have a penchant for an audience close-up, spectators on Irish sound stages are chosen via casting call and paid like film extras - with a diverse demographic assortment of people carefully curated. No negative Nancies allowed either, Shane said - when it comes to American studio audiences, they all have to really look like they are enjoying themselves. He also explained while some of the big American hosting talents find themselves 'perplexed' to end up in Ireland for filming, they understand the economics of it keeps them in a job. The model is so sound, in fact, that Shane is now going it alone, leaving BiggerStage - the Dublin-based production company that often works with Fox - to co-found his own business offering US networks the same collaborative model. He said: 'There are lots of other networks interested... They're all paying attention to what Fox has been doing and curious about what they're doing in Ireland.' But of course, the whole endeavour is at the heart of a broader tug of tariff war between President Donald Trump and the rest of the world over film and TV production. Early last month, the American premier claimed Hollywood was dying a 'very fast death' with other nations offering 'all kinds of incentives to draw our filmmakers away' - mostly cost-cutting ones. He soon threatened a 100 per cent tariff on movies made abroad, adding in a post to his social media platform Truth Social: 'WE WANT MOVIES MADE IN AMERICA, AGAIN!' Commerce secretary Howard Lutnick responded on X: 'We're on it.' Trump's online riff on MAGA (WWMMIAA?) saw an improvement to an existing Irish government initiative to encourage native filmmaking quickly momentarily shelved. It is understood that as it would have made Ireland even more attractive as a filming destination, flying in the face of Trump, the timing was seen to be all wrong, sending the wrong message to the US administration. The announcement was instead delayed to the end of last month, offering an eight per cent increase in the so-called Section 481 tax incentive, for feature films of a certain budget using Irish talent. So, it seems both putting your money where your movie is - and also, simply where your movie is - remains an active issue, with the US determined to tug on the threads and pull them all back to the mothership. While back in Blighty, The Chase charges on, the fate of its American quiz show counterparts - along with their hundreds of staff - seems more to hang in the balance.
