Police are seeking information about a car allegedly involved in an aggravated robbery in Whangārei.
Two suspects entered a bar on Kensington Avenue on Friday, July 25, with a firearm demanding money.
"One man reportedly fired a shot towards the roof and assaulted a patron before taking cash from the till and leaving in the vehicle," a police statement said.
One person was transported to Northland Base Hospital in a moderate condition but has since been discharged.
The vehicle they left in is a white Toyota Aqua with stolen licence plates, registration KHA69.

Anyone who saw the vehicle between 10.30 pm on Friday and 3.00am Saturday is asked to contact the police on 105 online or by phone using the reference number 250726/2971.

A shot was fired into the roof of the bar by an armed robber, who also assaulted a patron. Whangārei police said two suspects were sought, after entering the premises on Kensington Avenue with a firearm and demanding money. A man wielding a gun burst into the bar through the smokers' area about 9.30pm and demanded staff give him money from the till.

26 July Detective Sergeant Ryan Cooper, Supervisor: Tactical Crime Unit: Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at a bar on Kensington Avenue in Whangārei last night. Police were called to the bar at 10pm, after a man entered the bar holding a firearm and demanded money. The man is reported to have fired a shot towards the roof of the bar and assaulted one of the patrons. The man then took cash from the bar's tills and left in a car, which had been waiting in the car park. The injured person was transported to hospital, and they have since been discharged. The car used by the offender was being driven by a second person and is believed to be a white Toyota Aqua or a similar model. The car had stolen licence plates attached, registration KHA69. Police are urgently working to identify and locate the two offenders. If anyone has information which could assist our enquiries, please contact 105 online or on the phone, quoting file number 250726/2971.
