Oasis fans in meltdown as Gallagher brothers announce 'extra ticket release'
Liam and Noel Gallagher will kick off their epic Oasis reunion tour in July after millions of fans were left devastated when they were unable to get their hands on the coveted concert tickets
Oasis fans have gone into meltdown ahead of the long-awaited reunion tour as rumours of an extra ticket release have spread like wildfire. Back in August, Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher confirmed that they would be putting their feud to bed and would embark on a nationwide tour after a 16-year hiatus.
At the time, Ticketmaster crashed due to the millions of fans scrambling to get their hands on the concert tickets. While some were lucky, millions were left without a chance to see the Manchester-born brothers perform live again after almost twenty years.
However, there could still be some hope for avid Oasis fans as a number of music lovers have taken to X to confirm that they have received an email stating that a certain number of production tickets will be available to buy ahead of the tour in July.
One X user posted a screenshot of the email contents and said: "Anyone get this email from Oasis today?". The email read: "A limited amount of production release tickets have been made available for Oasis' Live '25 UK dates in Cardiff, London, and Edinburgh.
"You have been selected to receive a code for a limited ticket release taking place on May 20th at 8am BST." After the X user asked other Oasis fans if they had received the same email, another music fan said that they were finally able to buy tickets after being sent the all-important code.
"I got one last Friday and bagged 2 x tickets for Wembley," they said. "OMG I got this email too but was worried it was a scam. I'm still going to try it though." Someone else added: "I'm hoping because I only tried for Manchester, that I am given code for a Manchester release. As I've not seen one for MCR yet."
It comes after reports have claimed that bassist Andy Bell will join the Gallaghers for the Oasis reunion. Since Oasis' split in 2009, Bell has been impressing fans with his own band, Ride, and so it was unclear whether the 54-year-old star would be part of the Gallagher's sell-out return.
However, the musician has told a reporter he is in and is now preparing for rehearsals with Noel and Liam. Bell, who joined Oasis in 2000 to replace bassist Paul McGuigan, said: "I'm in and I'm really looking forward to it. We'll see each other on tour. Or rather, you'll see me – I'll hardly be able to see you in the audience." Bell also wrote one song or more on each of Oasis' final three albums.
Oasis' reunion tour starts on July 4 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, which is Bell's home city. Sixteen gigs in the UK, as well as several abroad, follow, reaching the worldwide climax on November 23 in São Paulo, Brazil.
Bell joins Gem Archer, Bonehead and drummer Joey Waronker who are also reuniting with the Gallaghers for the huge final tour. But this stint will be the final hoorah for the brothers, their co-manager Alec McKinlay told Music Week earlier this month.
He said: 'This is the last time around, as Noel has made clear in the press. It is a chance for fans who haven't seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to. But no, there's no plan for any new music."
Bell's comments to Austrian newspaper Oe24 come as Oasis get ready to rehearse ahead of their opening gig in Cardiff. More than 74,000 people are set to cram into the Principality Stadium for the performance, the first since Oasis made what was thought to be their farewell at V Festival at Weston Park in Stafford on August 22, 2009.
Fans have been trying to work out what the first song in nearly 16 years will be, and believe a recent Instagram post by the band offers a cryptic clue. The visual clue showed what looked like a setlist with five tracks listed – one notably swapped out for 'Songbird' from 2002, a crowd-pleaser among the Oasis faithful.

Setting off from there on Thursday, Sam then travelled to Liverpool's iconic Goodison Park, before heading to Old Trafford on the final day. He's captured the attention of the nation during the grueling journey, after suffering a calf injury which has left him battling through agonising pain in order to complete his mission. The BBC Radio 1 presenter had the whole nation behind him as he ran 30 miles for five consecutive days across the country in March, raising an incredible £2.3m. 'It's day three baby, it's the worst. In a video shared on Pete and Sam's Staying Relevant podcast TikTok page Pete is seen screaming 'you can!' at Sam - sending him into fits of giggles on his bike. The sign read: 'You can do it... YOU CAAAN!' as Pete shouted it in the same tone that Zara had as she insisted that Sam could forgive her for her infidelities all those years ago. Earlier in the day Sam broke down in tears as pal Pete surprised him to mark half way of his 'intensely painful' challenge. Sam, who sustained a 'significant' injured his calf earlier in the week, threw his arms around his friend, 37, before telling MailOnline the reunion 'made his day'. As Pete strolled up, Sam became overwhelmed to see the friendly face amid day three of him cycling and running another whopping 49 miles. Before setting off on Monday, Pete shared a gushing tribute to his pal on Instagram writing: 'Tomorrow this man embarks on a mental and physical challenge for an amazing cause' The TV star was given the task to travel a mammoth 260-mile journey on both bike and foot to deliver the match ball to its new home in Old Trafford, with the hope of raising much-needed funds for Unicef. He told MailOnline: 'Seeing Pete half way made my day. The pain is so intense but this has put a smile on my face'. Before adding: 'Please donate if you can, I'm so grateful for all the support'. On Tuesday, Sam was joined by his pal Chris Hughes for the second day of his endurance challenge. And Chris' new girlfriend JoJo Siwa made sure to send her support to the star as she sent him a motivational message. Appearing on Hits Radio, the singer, 22, told Sam: 'No matter what burn yourself out, burn those little legs out, keep it pushing!' 'You're gonna be proud if you do it. In five days from now you are either going to be really proud or you're gonna be like 'Damn I probably could have done it if I had tried a little harder. So don't have that regret.' During an appearance on Tuesday's This Morning, Chris joined Sam for part of the cycle, hours after suffering a nasty calf injury. As Sam looked visibly downcast, Chris told viewers: 'He's emotional, he's upset and it's tough because he's got to go again and it's relentless. 'I was saying when we were going around I've so much admiration for you Sam because I'm struggling with this... knowing that I'm going to stop in a minute and Sam has to carry on this amazing journey, raising so much money, it's warrior like... Good luck brother, you've got this' Still battling forwards with an injured calf and given the green light by the medical team, the reality star was determined to complete the challenge. He said: 'This is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I now have to accept that I've done damage to my calf and running is very difficult'. 'But I can and will carry on, not matter what, on two feet and two pedals, I'm still going to get there and get across the finish line on Friday. It's just going to be longer, harder but my reason for doing it still hasn't changed. I really hope people are digging deep for UNICEF, seeing what I'm trying to do and are getting behind this challenge.' Speaking about Sam's injury, on the road physio, Gary Lewin said: 'Sam has got a significant injury to his calf. We tried to take the weight off of it yesterday by giving him a bike day and in the afternoon he said it felt better, so we tried a bit of walking'. 'He can't put much weight on it. My advice today is we're going to start out with a walk today and then cycle and see how we get on. He's in safe hands and medical advice is he can continue'.

Ryan Thomas spent 16 years on the Corrie set with his mum Eileen, played by Sue Cleaver - so when she finally called it a day on the ITV soap, he was there to send her off Corrie star Ryan Thomas has given his wife Lucy Mecklenburgh a tour around his on-screen childhood home, as he paid tribute to his TV mum Eileen after Sue Cleaver's emotional departure from the soap. Ryan, 40, shares two children with TOWIE star Lucy Meck, but he had already left the show by the time they got together. Ryan spent his teenage years in Weatherfield, having joined the Manchester-based ITV soap in 2000. He stayed until 2016, when his character, builder Jason Grimshaw left the cobbles after being manipulated by his mum Eileen's partner Pat Phelan. But Jason wasn't killed off, and instead emigrated to Thailand, with his mum Eileen mentioning him often on the soap. And with Sue Cleaver finally leaving Corrie for good, he took the opportunity to show Lucy, 33, around the set. Sharing a video on Instagram of Lucy walking through the Grimshaws' living room, he wrote: "I was never with @lucymeck while I was in the show so it was nice to finally show my superfan where I grew up." Another clip showed Sue being given a round of applause, before hugging her on-screen sons Jason and Todd, who was played by Bruno Langley originally, and then Gareth Pierce since 2017. Ryan wrote: "Haven't seen it yet but Eileen/mother departed Weatherfield tonight, gone but never forgotten. "It has been an honour to watch, learn and act alongside you one last time. Can't wait to watch you shine in your next chapter. Love you always." Sue confirmed rumours that Ryan would be returning to the Cobbles for her send off. Speaking on soap podcast Off Script, she said: "I rang Ryan Thomas and I said, 'Ryan, I've not told work yet but I'm gonna leave. Would you come back? I'd really like you to take me out'. "He said, 'I wasn't planning to but I can't refuse that can I'. It just felt really right that he was there. It was lovely having him there. He's not changed at all." Following her final episode on Friday night, Sue's character Eileen was seen leaving for a new life in Thailand, alongside her son Jason. Simon Gregson's character Steve McDonald, Tony Maudsley's George Shuttleworth, and Eileen's son Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, all said goodbye to the matriarch before drivers from the local taxi firm honked their horns as she was driven off. The Oasis reunion tour is due to kick off in Cardiff on Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5. It marks Oasis' return after 16 years away. The documentary about the reuniting Britpop icons is being produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight with acclaimed directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, known for LCD Soundsystem's concert movie Shut Up And Play The Hits, at the helm. Magna Studios, with a portfolio featuring Beastie Boys Story, Gangs Of London, 20000 Days On Earth, and Lewis Capaldi: How I'm Feeling Now, is leading the production. They're calling on fans to submit their poignant memories connected to the Live Forever hitmakers' tracks for a chance to be featured in the documentary. An announcement on the website stated: "Now, in the year of Oasis' sellout reunion tour, Magna Studios and Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, A Thousand Blows) – in association with Oasis – are making a film exploring how this band's music has become so important to so many. We are asking people all over the world if there is a particular Oasis song that has deep meaning for you. A song that tells the story of a life-changing moment, a love, a loss, a heartbreak, or a break for freedom. Whatever the Oasis song, whatever the story – tell us..."
