Alabama lands transfer portal commitment from starting ACC forward
On Friday afternoon, the Alabama Crimson Tide landed their second transfer portal commitment of the offseason, as forward Taylor Bol Bowen announced that he was committing to the program to play in Tuscaloosa next year.
Transferring to Alabama from Florida State, Bol Bowen is coming off a breakout 2024-25 season with the Seminoles in which he averaged 8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game while starting 28-of-29 games. In addition to that stat line, Bol Bowen also shot 47.7% from the field as a sophomore, along with 41.4% from three, and 78% at the free throw line.
A 6-foot-10 power forward, Bol Bowen was originally rated as a four-star prospect out of high school in the 2023 recruiting class, ranked as the nation's No. 73 overall player according to the 247Sports Composite rankings out of national power Brewster Academy.
Bol Bowen joins Bucknell center Noah Williamson in Alabama's transfer portal class so far this offseason, and the Florida State transfer is likely expected to play a significant role next season, giving the Crimson Tide another stretch forward who can protect the rim defensively.

Texas A&M is reportedly the 'frontrunner' for elite 2026 4-star wide receiver

Texas A&M is reportedly the 'frontrunner' for elite 2026 4-star wide receiver Two of Texas A&M's priority prospects in the 2026 recruiting class will take an official visit to College Station this weekend, as five-star wide receiver Ethan "Boobie" Feaster and five-star OL/DL Lamar Brown represents the two most essential prospects for coach Mike Elko and his staff that will make their final decision early next month. In terms of predictions, nothing has been clear regarding both prospects 'favorite landing spots over the past month, as Brown's recent OVs to Miami and Texas have shaken things up, while Feaster's recent OV to USC could complicate things moving forward. Still, it's impossible to ever keep the Aggies out of contention after several 2026 commits shut down their recruitment, combined with landing 2026 four-star safety Chance Collins over Texas Tech. However, according to On3, Texas A&M is now the front-runner to land Feaster and remains in great shape to secure four-star running back KJ Edwards, four-star linebacker DaQuives Beck, and three-star quarterback Kaeden Johnson. The fact that Feaster is still a favorite to land in College Station speaks volumes regarding Elko's ability to recruit elite wide receiver prospects compared to former head coach Jimbo Fisher. Yes, OC Collin Klein and WR coach Holmon Wiggins also deserve credit, but it starts at the top, especially battling the likes of LSU, USC, Texas, and Alabama. From a production standpoint, Featster has delivered impressive statistics that align with his recruiting expectations. He wrapped up his 2024 sophomore season with a personal best of 57 receptions, 855 yards, and 14 touchdowns. Throughout two varsity seasons, Feaster has amassed 1,489 yards and 23 touchdowns. According to On3, Feaster is currently positioned as the 44th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 5th-ranked wide receiver prospect, and the 5th-ranked prospect in Texas. Texas 2026 4-star S Donovan Webb has Notre Dame in his top-4, with a visit next weekend

Texas 2026 4-star S Donovan Webb has Notre Dame in his top-4, with a visit next weekend The day is coming for 2026 Texas safety Donovan Webb to make a decision, as he'll pick from Notre Dame, Michigan, Texas Tech and Kansas State on July 2nd as he announced late on Thursday. The 6-foot and 182-pound prospect is ranked as the No. 348 overall prospect by the 247Sports Composite and will visit South Bend on June 20th. He's already taken trips to see the Wolverines, Horned Frogs, Wildcats, Red Raiders along with Ohio State, Baylor and Colorado. It's clear that a few of the schools that Webb went to see didn't impress him enough to commit, so Notre Dame has a shot in his recruitment. The visit next weekends visit will be telling, as it's the last one currently scheduled before a commitment is made. Hopefully, the last impression is a good one, and Webb joins Notre Dame's 2026 recruiting class.

Colorado football lands in final three schools for four-star in-state tackle

Colorado football lands in final three schools for four-star in-state tackle Colorado's head coach, Deion Sanders, has excelled at recruiting since he took over, landing some of the most impressive recruits in school history and multiple five-stars. Sanders has made the Buffaloes' offensive line a focal point, and Coach Prime is close to landing another outstanding lineman to further the rebuild. The Buffaloes were announced as finalists for four-star tackle Deacon Schmitt out of Windsor, Colorado. The local product stands 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, potentially bringing collegiate-ready size to the Buffaloes. Schmitt announced that he is down to three schools, Oklahoma, Alabama and Colorado, according to On3's Hayes Fawcett. Schmitt visited Boulder on May 2, the earliest visit of any of the three finalist schools. He visited Oklahoma on June 6 and Alabama on May 30. Schmitt displays quality footwork and above-average mobility, but what flashes on his tape is his tenacity. On multiple plays, you can find him driving his matchup five or 10 yards off the line of scrimmage, even if the play isn't going his way. CU fans will have to hold their breath for a couple more weeks as Schmitt is set to announce his commitment on June 28.
