Jessie J admitted to hospital six weeks after breast cancer surgery
Jessie J has revealed she has been in hospital with an infection, six weeks after she underwent surgery to treat breast cancer. The 37-year-old musician shared her early-stage cancer diagnosis in April this year and had a mastectomy to remove the disease, followed by breast reconstruction surgery. However, in an update to her followers on Sunday morning (3 August) she explained she had fallen ill unexpectedly and had spent time hospitalised in the same ward in which she had recovered just weeks earlier. 'How I spent the last 24 hours,' she wrote in a caption, alongside a picture of a cannula inserted into her arm. 'Six weeks post surgery and I was back in the same ward I was after my surgery,' she said. 'Not expected or planned.' She explained: 'I had and still have symptoms that pointed towards a blood clot on the lung. IT IS NOT A BLOOD CLOT THANK GOD. [But] they ran a lot tests, which ended up showing I have an infection (still trying to figure out what) and a little fluid on my lungs.' The 'Bang Bang' singer, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, said she is still unwell, but has discharged herself from hospital. 'Finding it hard to breathe in, but I discharged myself last night (I hate being in hospital) and will continue the investigation as an outpatient,' she explained. 'I know many people who will have gone through this or similar may or may not agree with me on this or not, and that's OK. But I know for me, the true hard journey of this whole thing physically was the day I went into surgery.' Reflecting on the impact of the recovery process, the musician explained how the illness had impacted her personal life, parenting, and career, in a follow-up post. 'The recovering physically is far from quick or easy, and mentally it's been the most challenging time for me,' she continued. 'Especially as a Mum with a toddler and being unable to be the mother I usually am. And having to change the plans for my career for this year has been frustrating after working so hard to get to the point and excited to do it all. But it's life. I know that. 'And don't get me wrong, getting the all clear was an is incredible, but that result didn't speed up or make the recovery from the surgery any easier physically.' In her final post she said the emergency had reminded her to 'slow down' in future.

Online food reviewer visits Warrington to try legendary town centre takeaway
A SUCCESSFUL online food reviewer travelled to Warrington to try a hugely popular takeaway. Danny Malin, a YouTube food vlogger with a channel by the name of Rate My Takeaway, journeyed to the town to sample Danny's Kitchen. He said the venue was rumoured to be Luke Littler's favourite Chinese takeaway – although The Nuke disputed this TikTok. Malin's channel is renowned for its candid reviews and characteristic table and chair setup, earning him more than 770,000 subscribers on YouTube. Having made a career out of reviewing British takeaways, he made a stop in Warrington town centre to try the legendary Danny's Kitchen. When walking to the shop, he asked some locals their opinion on Danny's Kitchen, to which they replied: 'A delicacy.' He ordered a mixed meal, including beef satay and battered chicken with sweet and sour sauce. Danny Malin, of Rate My Takeaway, visits Danny's Kitchen in Warrington. Picture: Rate My Takeaway/YouTube During his meal, he had many interactions with the people of Warrington, who all shared their praise for the takeaway place. His opinion of the sweet and sour chicken seemed initially to be one of disappointment, stating: 'It looks like it's going to be crispy, but it's quite soft. 'The sweet and sour sauce, it tastes like a watered-down ketchup.' However, upon returning to the meal, he said: 'The batter on it is quite soft and I like that.' However, the beef satay was the star of the show. Despite revealing his apprehension about what he regarded as a gravy-like appearance, he concluded: 'It's actually quite delicious that sauce if I'm honest.' You can watch the video on the Rate My Takeaway YouTube channel.

Patrick Kielty will be 'in a very dark place' if Cat Deeley makes one huge decision
Cat Deeley is reportedly on the verge of making a huge decision that could leave Patrick Kielty "heartbroken". He will be "in a very dark place" if Cat Deeley returns to the US with their children, insiders say. The couple announced this week they have separated following a 13-year marriage. Read more: State Pension age rising for people born in these years in 2026 Residents in Patrick's hometown of Dundrum, County Down, have now expressed their worry for the 54-year-old star. This is if Cat, originally from West Bromwich, West Midlands, decides to relocate to the US with their two children. An insider claimed: "Everyone is worried about Paddy. The fear is that Cat will go back to America with the little ones, that will leave him in a very dark place." This fear has arose after reports Cat might quit her ITV job and move back to the USA. TV insiders told Mail Online: "Cat's time on This Morning has not been a failure, but it has hardly been a roaring success. "It is a job which puts her under so much scrutiny day-in and day-out and unlike most British presenters, she has plenty more lucrative options to choose from in the States. "There is concern that all of this family drama could lead her to walk away." Cat presented the reality TV show, So You Think You Can Dance, when she and Patrick lived in the USA for 14 years. When they returned to the UK, Cat soon joined This Morning alongside Ben Shephard after Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby left the ITV programme. It comes as ITV has announced plans for a shake-up, which includes cutting Lorraine by 30 minutes and dropping it altogether during school holidays from January. There are reports the This Morning studio is set to move as well, from White City, west London, to a smaller, cheaper studio in the centre of the capital.
