Travis Kelce Explains How He & Taylor Swift Fell in Love ‘Organically': ‘It Kind of Just Took the F–k Off'
Travis Kelce is opening up about his and Taylor Swift's love story. In a candid cover story for GQ published Tuesday (Aug. 12), the Kansas City Chiefs tight end spoke at length about how he and the pop superstar forged a genuine connection despite all of the prying eyes and cameras that have been pointed at them nonstop since they first started dating in 2023. More from Billboard 'We're About to Do a F—ing Podcast': Taylor Swift to Appear on Travis Kelce's 'New Heights' Taylor Swift Announces New Album, 'The Life of a Showgirl' A Timeline of Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce's Relationship 'Whenever I'm with her, it feels like we're just regular people,' Kelce began. 'When there is not a camera on us, we're just two people that are in love,' he continued. 'It can be perceived as something else because of how much it is talked about and how much we are tracked whenever we do go out,' he continued. '[But] it happened very organically, even though from a media standpoint, it was being tracked.' The athlete went on to explain what he means when he says his romance with Swift happened 'organically.' 'We fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with,' he told the publication. 'We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It kind of just took the f–k off.' Kelce's interview comes almost two years after he and the 14-time Grammy winner first stepped out together, with Swift attending a September 2023 home game at Arrowhead Stadium. Since then, the musician has been present at many of the Grotesquerie star's matchups, often sharing a box suite with his parents, Donna and Ed Kelce. On the topic of his mom, Travis revealed that he thinks Donna — who supported her family by working as a banker while her kids were growing up — and Swift have a lot in common. 'Their kindness, their genuineness, their ability to say hello to everyone in the room,' the Ohio native told GQ, listing the two women's shared traits. 'Their ability to show love and support no matter what. And on top of that, their work ethic.' 'I saw my mother reach goals that she had set for herself [and] go from being a teller to working all the way up in the KeyBank building,' he added. 'I've seen Taylor do the exact same thing of setting goals for herself and exceeding the expectations and really captivating the world in that regard.' Indeed, the hitmaker has continued reaching unprecedented levels of success in her career over the years, from grossing more than $2 billion on her record-shattering Eras Tour to winning a historic fourth album of the year at the 2024 Grammys. Travis was in her corner cheering her on for both of those feats, and now, he's even helping her kickstart a new era by joining her in announcing The Life of a Showgirl — Swift's 12th studio album — on his New Heights podcast. Podcast Host's Viral Takedown Of MAGA Voters
Former Bravo star and current I've Had It podcast host Jennifer Welch is going absolutely viral for delivering what people are calling "a read that will live on in infamy." During a recent episode of Jennifer's podcast, she starts her monologue, "I've had it with white people that triple Trump-ed. That have the nerve and the audacity to walk into a Mexican restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant. Go to, perhaps, their gay hairdresser." "I don't think you should be able to enjoy anything but Cracker Barrel," she continued. "The felon is the teeny, weeny, mushroom cock piece of shit, cankles McTacoTits at the top of the ticket," she pressed on. "I have had it from top to bottom." "White people that triple Trump should be banned, boycotted from enjoying the best thing that America has to offer, which is multiculturalism." A clip of Jennier's passionate take made its way to X, formerly known as Twitter, where it's been viewed over a whopping 16.3 million times. "This is the most savage takedown of anyone I've ever heard in my life," one commenter reacted. "If there was ever a person who had the right to free speech and chose to use it freely," another agreed. Someone said Jennifer gave, "A read for the ages." Overall, she's being largely applauded by non-MAGA voices. One person said, "She's right... If you genuinely hate immigrants & minorities that much, you're not allowed to partake in any part of the culture they've brought with them." You can watch the video of Jen's monologue here: What are your thoughts on the podcast segment? Let us know in the comments.
