2025 Valspar Championship Friday second round tee times, how to watch
The final stop of the PGA Tour's Florida Swing is underway.
Conditions were breezy with an afternoon shower passing through, as well, but the 2025 Valspar Championship is moving on to Friday. Keith Mitchell, the 54-hole leader in 2024 before a tough finish, fired a 4-under 67 to open and has redemption on his mind.
The purse at the Valspar is $8.7 million, with $1.566 million going to the winner along with 500 FedEx Cup points.

The Canadian has five top-10 finishes so far this season and has proven to be a cut-making machine, playing the weekend in 14-of-15 starts, including 13 straight since falling short at the Sony Open in January. Since mid-February, Conners has finished 30th or better in 10 of 11 tournaments he's entered. Jordan Spieth, who is slightly favored to finish ahead of Conners this weekend at Oakmont, has been more of a wild card of late. He's missed the cut just twice this year, but Spieth has finished outside the top-30 in four additional tournaments, suggesting he's having a hard time putting four solid rounds together. Conners has finished ahead of Spieth in both majors this season. Look for the up-and-comer to do it again this weekend. Over his past three tournaments, Griffin has won the Charles Schwab Challenge, finished second at the Memorial, and finished T-8 at the PGA Championship. He's a big underdog to beat out Shane Lowry this weekend, despite playing as well as anyone in the field. Lowry has enjoyed a strong season, with two runner-up finishes and two additional top-10s, but he's struggled during the majors, finishing T-42 at Augusta and missing the cut during the PGA Championship. The Irishman is a much more familiar name to the average golf fan, but Griffin is the hot hand to ride in this matchup. DeChambeau eyes new LIV deal ahead of US Open defence

DeChambeau was one of the highest-profile players to join LIV when it was launched in 2022, signing a lucrative contract reportedly worth more than $100 million. Advertisement While talks are ongoing about a deal which could see LIV and the PGA Tour form a unified circuit, DeChambeau said Tuesday he is planning to ink a new contract with LIV in future. "Next year is when it ends," DeChambeau said. "We're looking to negotiate end of this year and I'm very excited. They see the value in me. I see the value in what they can provide, and I believe we'll come to some sort of resolution on that," he said. DeChambeau sees a long-term future with the Saudi-backed series despite a framework agreement for investment in the PGA Tour by LIV's financiers, the Saudi Public Investment Fund. Two years since that pact, no final deal has emerged. "I think that LIV is not going anywhere... whether everybody believes in it or not, I think it's a viable commercial option," said DeChambeau.
