Actor Frankie Muniz has been proving critics wrong as he continues to race in NASCAR, especially with his performance at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 15. The Malcom in the Middle star was able to finish in tenth place for the Craftsman Truck Series, making him one of the few Hollywood elites to really get into competitive racing. This was Muniz's debut race as a full-time NASCAR driver. He initially qualified fourteenth, proving that he's more than just some entitled celebrity trying to steal the spotlight from legitimate racers.
On that note, Fox did a hilarious series of interviews with drivers in the Craftsman Truck Series who didn't even know who Muniz is, claiming to have never seen his TV shows. In other words, he was just another competitor to them and received no special treatment on the track.
And in this series of videos, those truck series drivers we talked to who had never watched (or I guess forgot/didn't know that they watched if they did) Frankie Muniz on television and film. @NASCARONFOX pic.twitter.com/K4gBeznxNg

What made the race even more special for Muniz was that it was the man's first one after he started racing full-time in NASCAR. He had competed in a few races before, splitting his time between than and other endeavors.
Muniz made his debut in NASCAR on June 28, 2024 during the Rackley Roofing 200. That race ended much differently for the actor after his truck overheated on lap 86. He finished in position 31, lamenting the result afterward.
In other words, Muniz is improving as he's getting more time behind the wheel in competition.
Back in October 2024 he announced that this year he would start racing in NASCAR full time. The announcement shocked many after some assumed his foray into NASCAR was a publicity stunt or some fleeting early midlife crisis episode. Instead, it seems Muniz is serious about becoming a true racing success. His grit is admirable.

NASCAR driver Rajah Caruth gets love from Stephen A

Winston-Salem State University alumni pride was on full display during ESPN's First Take on Monday, as Stephen A. Smith delivered a heartfelt congratulations to fellow HBCU graduate Rajah Caruth. Caruth made history over the weekend by winning his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race of the 2025 season at Nashville Superspeedway on Friday, May 30-securing a playoff spot in the process. The segment opened with a throwback recorded message from Caruth thanking Smith for his influence and leadership during a previous HBCU segment. "Honestly, Stephen A., I wanted to say thank you for everything you've done for Winston-Salem State University and our culture," Caruth said. "You're a great example of living Black history." Smith, who graduated from the HBCU in Dec. 1991, was visibly moved by the gesture, responded with emotion and pride. "I always get touched by stuff like that, especially for my alma mater, which means the world to me. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for Winston-Salem State," he said. Smith praised Caruth's performance during the final stretch of the race, noting the young driver held off seasoned champions in the final 15 laps. "He handled his business, held it down, and ended up winning for the first time. I'm very, very proud of this young man and what he's doing-the way he's representing the Rams." This win marked the second career victory for Caruth in the Craftsman Truck Series. Smith took the moment to highlight Caruth's impact as an HBCU representative in a traditionally non-diverse sport like NASCAR. "Anytime I see great things from Winston-Salem State, I'm incredibly happy… There's a whole bunch of talent at HBCUs throughout this country." As Smith wrapped up his remarks, he once again voiced his support for Caruth and reaffirmed his commitment to celebrating HBCU excellence, saying, "Way to go, Rajah. Way to go." From Charlotte to Adelaide: Kyle Larson's Next Racing Frontier

From Charlotte to Adelaide: Kyle Larson's Next Racing Frontier originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Kyle Larson, NASCAR's versatile champion is eyeing his boldest challenge yet: a debut in Australia's Supercars Championship at the prestigious Adelaide 500. This potential move represents another ambitious chapter in the career of motorsport's most globe-trotting competitor. Advertisement Larson has always wanted to race at Adelaide. "One that stands out to me is... I'd like to run a Supercar, in particular in Adelaide," he said recently. The timing could actually work out since NASCAR ends in early November and Adelaide runs late November. But here's the thing - it's not that simple. Larson would need to spend two or three weeks in Australia right after his NASCAR season ends. That's during the holidays and the guy already races almost every weekend of the year. His schedule is crazy busy. NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Larson at Charlotte Motor Dedmon-Imagn Images Larson isn't cocky about his chances either. He saw what happened when Shane van Gisbergen came to NASCAR and won his first race. "Shane came in and kicked all of our butts," Larson admitted. "So I know these Australian racers are extremely good. I would not be surprised to run last." Advertisement There are talks happening behind the scenes with different teams. Shane van Gisbergen and Zak Brown from McLaren are helping make connections. The race organizers would love to have a big NASCAR name like Larson show up. Larson proved he can handle Australian tracks when he won a sprint car race in Perth last December. For now, everything is still just talk and planning. But knowing Larson, he'll probably find a way to make it happen eventually. Two Florida Motorcyclists Hit An Alligator

Read the full story on Backfire News Two motorcyclists riding on separate bikes were both injured when they hit an alligator that was on Interstate 4 near Orange City, Florida. This is the sort of craziness we would expect to be routine in the Sunshine State, but apparently alligators on an interstate are in fact motorcycles involved were a 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 650 and 2022 Suzuki GSX-R1000R. A report from WFTV-9 doesn't give any indication the riders might have been speeding, only saying they were both in the inside lane when they struck the 'gator. Those riders were a 25-year-old woman and 67-year-old man. It's unclear if they were riding together, although we think it's pretty safe to assume they were. After hitting the giant reptile, both sport bikes veered off the interstate. The Suzuki went into a wooded area and hit a tree. Both riders suffered non-life-threatening injuries. As for the alligator, it was also injured in the collision, although it's unclear how badly. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers arrived on the scene to assess the animal. In the meantime, Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Again, this might be the most Florida story we've covered in a while. In other states, drivers have to watch for deer darting across the road. But in Florida people on motorcycles might hit an alligator crossing the interstate for some reason. While such a thing is a rarity, from what we've been told, just a month ago we covered how the Blue Collar Brawler helped wrangle an alligator that was spotted on the side of a busy Florida interstate, helping authorities relocate it to somewhere safer. All this leads us to ask: why did the alligator cross the road? What's on the other side that's so compelling? Image via Adriaan Greyling/Pexels
