Chance the Rapper's second studio album, Star Line, is here.
The 17-track album boasts features from A-listers and Chicago natives, including Young Thug, Vic Mensa, Joey Badass, BJ the Chicago Kid, Jazmine Sullivan, and Jamila Woods, among others. Chance's recently released single, 'Tree,' featuring Lil Wayne and Smino, also appears on the offering.
Chano worked with artist and longtime collaborator, Brandon Breaux, to craft the album's artwork. Breaux previously created the covers for Chance's iconic mixtapes, 10 Day, Acid Rap, and Coloring Book.
Earlier this week, Chance announced his upcoming And We Back Tour, which is slated to begin on Sept. 26 and make stops in Houston, New York, Chicago, and Las Vegas, before wrapping on Oct. 20 in Los Angeles.

The tour name appears to be a nod to Chance's Ye-featuring song 'All We Got,' from his 2016 tape, Coloring Book.
Star Line follows Chance's first studio album, The Big Day, which arrived on July 26, 2019. Prior to that, he released Coloring Book in 2016, Acid Rap in 2013, and 10 Day in 2012.

In a new conversation with New Rory & Mal, Chance commented on his relationship with Ye, telling the co-hosts that they haven't spoken 'in a long time,' but explained that he still has 'reverence' for the Donda rapper.
'My first album that I consciously wanted to have was The College Dropout. So I have a different reverence for him, or just understanding of how my life went and how it influenced things I do," Chance added.
'I think most rappers got a rapper that was they first album, and probably from they city. So imagine if yours was Kanye West, and imagine if you worked with them, and imagine all that shit.'
In 2016, Chance appeared on Ye's album, The Life of Pablo, earning writing credits on a several songs and featuring on the project's opening track, 'Ultralight Beam.'

Ralph Fiennes Leads a Choir Through Wartime Struggles in Trailer For THE CHORAL — GeekTyrant

Sony Pictures Classics has released a wonderful trailer for The Choral , a World War I-set drama starring Ralph Fiennes as a stern but passionate choir leader trying to hold a community together through music. Set in 1916 Yorkshire, the story follows Dr. Henry Guthrie, a man recently returned from Germany, who takes charge of a local choral society after most of its men are drafted into the army. With teenage boys stepping in as replacements and conscription looming over them, the choir becomes a rare source of unity and hope. 'The best response to the chaos that is laying waste to their lives is to make music together.' Directed by Nicholas Hytner ( The History Boys , The Lady in the Van ) and written by acclaimed playwright Alan Bennett, The Choral blends personal resilience with national tragedy. Fiennes' character, described as 'driven' and 'uncompromising,' must confront his own secrets as the town around him changes. The film explores how a small act like singing can become a lifeline when everything else falls apart. 'The Choral's ambitious committee, determined to press on, decides to recruit local young males to swell their ranks... despite their suspicions he has something to hide, their best bet seems to be Dr. Henry Guthrie.' The film looks to offer an uplifting portrait of community and artistic resistance during one of history's darkest chapters. I actually am looking forward to watching this! It looks great! The Choral will make its world premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival in September, followed by a UK theatrical release on November 7. It arrives in US theaters this Christmas on December 25.

Carrie Coon Is Scratching an Itch, Starring in ‘Bug' on Broadway

Carrie Coon is coming to Broadway this winter in 'Bug,' a play about paranoia and surveillance (and aphids) written by her husband, Tracy Letts. It will be the third play in short order to transfer to Broadway from Chicago's Steppenwolf Theater Company, following Branden Jacobs-Jenkins's 'Purpose,' which opened in March and then in June won the best play Tony Award, and Samuel D. Hunter's 'Little Bear Ridge Road,' which is scheduled to open in October. 'Bug' will make its Broadway debut 30 years after it was first staged in London. The play has had several productions since, including Off Broadway in 2004, and it was adapted into a film in 2007. (Both starred Michael Shannon.) The Steppenwolf production, which also starred Coon, began in 2020, was shut down by the Covid pandemic, and then resumed performances in late 2021. Coon, a stage veteran known to television viewers for 'The Gilded Age' and 'The White Lotus,' will star alongside Namir Smallwood, Randall Arney, Jennifer Engstrom and Steve Key. All five also appeared in the Chicago production, which was directed by David Cromer (a Tony winner for 'The Band's Visit'). The Broadway production, also directed by Cromer, is to start previews Dec. 17 and to open Jan. 8 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theater. Set in Oklahoma, 'Bug' is about a waitress (Coon) who meets a drifter in a motel. The motel has an insect problem; the characters have drug and relationship problems, and the combination leads to paranoid fears about government experiments. The critic Ben Brantley, reviewing the Off Broadway production, called it 'obscenely exciting.' 'Bug' joins James Graham's 'Punch,' which opens next month, and David Lindsay-Abaire's 'The Balusters,' which opens next spring, to make up MTC's 2025-26 Broadway season. The nonprofit's Off Broadway lineup will include a fall production of Martyna Majok's 'Queens' (which begins previews in October) and a winter production of Ngozi Anyanwu's 'The Monsters.' Though this is the first Broadway production for 'Bug,' Letts has worked on Broadway both as a writer and performer, winning Tony Awards in both categories — as the playwright of 'August: Osage County' and as a star of a 2012 revival of 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' Coon's only previous Broadway credit was in a supporting role in that same revival of 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' — she was nominated for a Tony Award for her work in that show.
