Tonight, Jake Paul returns to the boxing ring to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr – a former world champion and the son of boxing legend Julio Cesar Sr.
Paul last fought in November, outpointing heavyweight legend Mike Tyson in a bout that was widely panned, with the YouTuber later admitting that he held back against the 58-year-old.
Now, 28-year-old Paul takes on another former world champion in Chavez Jr, who held the WBC middleweight title from 2010 until 2012.
Chavez Jr has pedigree, therefore, also factoring that his father is boxing royalty, yet the 39-year-old has not impressed in recent times. In 2021, he was outpointed by UFC icon Anderson Silva, who was 46 at the time, and his last outing was a decision win against another UFC alum, Uriah Hall. That fight took place last July, two-and-a-half years after his previous contest.

Kevin Newman's 3-run HR helps Angels top Nationals

June 29 - Kevin Newman belted a three-run homer and Mike Trout hit a solo shot during a six-run seventh inning to help the Los Angeles Angels post an 8-2 victory over the Washington Nationals on Saturday night at Anaheim, Calif. Christian Moore hit a go-ahead single during the decisive frame as the Angels won for the eighth time in the past 12 games. Gustavo Campero homered while Newman and Jo Adell had two hits apiece for Los Angeles. CJ Abrams homered and Riley Adams had an RBI single for the Nationals, who lost for the 16th time in the past 20 games. Adams, Nathaniel Lowe and James Wood each had two hits for Washington. Trout got the 12-batter, seventh-inning uprising started by slamming the second pitch of the inning from Zach Brzykcy (0-1) over the wall in left to tie it at 2. Taylor Ward then doubled and Adell singled, ending Brzykcy's outing after three batters. Eduardo Salazar struck out Logan O'Hoppe and induced pinch-hitter Zach Neto to pop up. But Moore followed with a single through the left side to score Ward and give the Angels a 3-2 lead. Newman followed with a three-run blast over the short wall in left to give Los Angeles a four-run advantage. Luis Rengifo then doubled and Nolan Schanuel walked to end Salazar's outing. Ryan Loutos then walked Trout and Ward to force in Rengifo and make it 7-2. Adell bounced out to end the inning. Abrams came up with two out in the fifth and hit a solo homer to left center off Kyle Hendricks to tie the score at 1. In the top of the seventh, Washington's Daylen Lile walked with one out off Ryan Zeferjahn (5-1) and stole second. Two pitches later, Adams ripped an RBI single to center to give the Nationals a 2-1 lead. Washington's Michael Soroka allowed one run and two hits over six innings. He struck out five and walked one. Hendricks gave up one run and five hits over five innings for the Angels. He struck out five and walked none. So this is nothing new. 'I've worked hard. I'm very excited to be back. This is what I love to do. I'm very calm right now but once I step into the ring, he better hold on.' But Paul also showed few signs of nerves before the fight. He was spotted dancing alongside his brother Logan inside his locker room.

Astonishing fight breaks out during car race as rival families brawl on track... before one driver launches flying kick

An astonishing brawl erupted at a stock driving race on Saturday night following a controversial ending at Bowman Gray Stadium. The race involved two sets of families - Zack Staley and his son, Kyler, and Brad Lewis and his daughter Emilee. Things kicked off on the final lap of the race, when Zack deliberately slowed down to try and block Lewis from winning as he was neck-and-neck with Kyler. It initially appeared that Kyler had won the race, though Lewis was subsequently given the checkered flag and tensions boiled over soon after. Kyler got out of his car in anger and angrily approached Lewis' car before the driver wheeled away on a victory route. But Emilee's car was at a standstill, and Zack then raced across the field before delivering a stunning flying kick to her vehicle. Zack was grabbed off of the vehicle by a police officer and event staff before Kyler was pinned on the ground after fighting another man A police officer and multiple track crew jumped on him to pull him off the vehicle as he attempted to rip the metal off of the car. Meanwhile, Zack's son had attacked a non-driver on the track who had been standing alongside Emilee, before Kyler was wrestled and pinned to the ground by several staffers. The announcers of the event were left stunned by the violence. 'We got headlocks, we've got birds, we've got Ric Flair chops,' one said. 'Doesn't matter if it's a female or male, they're at it tooth and nail.' Zack delivered one more parting gift even as he walked away from the scene, as he flashed his middle finger in the air. The broadcast then switched to a shot of the chaos on the track, where a large group of people had congregated due to situation.
