4 bounce-back candidates on offense for Arizona Cardinals in 2025

4 bounce-back candidates on offense for Arizona Cardinals in 2025 We looked at some defensive players for the Cardinals to bounce back in 2025. Here are some offensive players who could as well.
The Arizona Cardinals are in the final phase of their offseason program with two weeks remaining, one of OTAs and one of minicamp. They are hoping to bounce back from their 8-9 2024 when they lost five of their final seven games.
To do so, they will need some individual players to bounce back from 2024.
PFF named linebacker Baron Browning as the Cardinals' top bounce-back candidate for 2025. But there are a number of players who could use a bounce-back season, whether coming back from an injury, low production or simply not meeting expectations. We went over some bounce-back players for the defense.
Here are some offensive players to watch for improvement in 2025.
Cardinals bounce-back offensive candidate 1: OT Jonah Williams
Williams played well when he played. The problem was that he only played in six games because he injured his knee twice. He still is their best option at right tackle and staying healthy all season would be huge.
Cardinals bounce-back offensive candidate 2: QB Kyler Murray
This is more about how things went down the stretch. His season stats were fine, but of his 11 interceptions, eight came in the final seven games when the Cardinals lost five of their final seven, going from 6-4 and in first place in the division to third place and 8-9.
Cardinals bounce-back offensive candidate 3: WR Zay Jones
Jones was re-signed to a one-year deal after he only had eight catches in 2024. His suspension to start the season really set him back, but by the end of the season, he was getting the third-most offensive snaps among the receivers. Expect him to have a much better year than eight receptions.
Cardinals bounce-back offensive candidate 4: WR Marvin Harrison Jr.
This might seem disingenuous because his rookie season was far from bad. It was one of the best the Cardinals have ever had from a rookie receiver. But people expected more, and it was disappointing because there were other rookie receivers clearing 1,100 and 1,200 yards. Bouncing back would mean becoming the true WR1 threat and being a guy defenses have to worry about.

Baltimore Ravens Land Two Tight Ends in NFL Top 10

Baltimore Ravens Land Two Tight Ends in NFL Top 10 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Baltimore Ravens boast an incredible tight end room. Mark Andrews will enter his eighth season in the league after the Ravens selected him in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma. Advertisement Isaiah Likely will play his fourth season in the league after the Ravens took him in the fourth round in 2022. And they've been an incredible tandem when available. That's why Pro Football Focus named them both in the top 10 of their top tight ends in the NFL ahead of the 2025 season. 4. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens "While the final impression Andrews left in last season's playoffs was not good, he remains one of the best tight ends in the NFL when healthy. Andrews entered the NFL and shined in a limited role as a rookie and has not posted a sub-80.0 regular-season PFF overall grade since." 9. Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens "With Mark Andrews struggling to return from injury at the beginning of the 2024 season, Likely stepped up to provide a security blanket for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens' offense. As Andrews worked his way to 100%, Likely became less of a focal point but still showcased true top-tier skills and talent at the position, earning a career-high 77.0 PFF receiving grade in 2024." Advertisement Andrews is a three-time Pro Bowler and has been named First-Team All-Pro once. Likely hasn't had any of those honors yet, but is certainly due. Andrews has registered 5,530 yards over his career with 436 catches and 51 touchdowns. He posted a career-best 1,361 yards on 107 catches in 2021 with nine scores. Likely has tallied 1,261 yards on 108 receptions and 14 touchdowns across three seasons and 49 games with 19 starts. They're a dangerous tandem, and that's why they're both recognized in the top 10. Pittsburgh Steelers' Pat Freiermuth Near Bottom of Tight End Rankings

Pittsburgh Steelers' Pat Freiermuth Near Bottom of Tight End Rankings originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Pittsburgh Steelers have many questions this offseason as they prepare for the 2025 campaign. Advertisement After a 10-7 regular season that saw a four-game losing streak to end the year, plus a one-and-done postseason appearance, Pittsburgh needs a turnaround year. But it'll be tough with no viable quarterback as the calendar flips to June. While the team has upgraded at wideout with the addition of DK Metcalf and subtraction of George Pickens, they're most likely not done adding offensive pieces. One of the existing pieces they'd like to count on is veteran tight end Pat Freiermuth. Freiermuth was taken in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Penn State with the No. 55 overall pick. He quickly established himself as a go-to target for Ben Roethlisberger and posted 497 yards on 60 catches with seven touchdowns. Advertisement The next year saw him improve with 732 yards on 63 catches with two scores with Kenny Pickett under center. But without a bona fide starting quarterback the past two seasons, Freiermuth's numbers have suffered, and he's not in the top 20 of the Pro Football Focus tight end rankings heading into 2025. 22. Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers "Freiermuth had a nice bounce-back season in 2024, logging a career-high 68 catches and seven touchdowns. He also dropped five passes and fumbled three times while breaking just six tackles. His 70.0 PFF receiving grade was good, but with uncertainty in the Steelers' quarterback room, his production might take another hit in 2025." Advertisement The Steelers still don't have a quarterback for next season other than rookie Will Howard and Mason Rudolph. Without a savior under center, Freiermuth's numbers could once again suffer. 4 speedy WRs to watch for Arizona Cardinals in offseason

Most believe that the Arizona Cardinals need a speed receiver as part of their offensive rotation. That makes sense. While Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson are not slow, they are not known for their long speed. Greg Dortch is one of the quickest players in terms of elusiveness and change of direction, but he is the slowest in the room in terms of long speed (with a 4.59-second 40 at his pro day). The Cardinals have some receivers on the roster to watch who can perhaps add that element. Advertisement Darren Urban noted the addition of Quez Watkins. He isn't the only fast guy, although he is the fastest. Wide receivers to watch to fill No. 3-4 WR role Quez Watkins: Watkins ran the 40 in 4.35 seconds and is six feet tall. He had over 600 yards in 2022, averaging 15 yards per catch with the Eagles. Zay Jones: Jones was playing like the WR3 in terms of snaps by the end of last season. He only had eight receptions in 2024 after he was suspended five games and then worked his way into the rotation. He had 823 receiving yards in 2022 for Jacksonville. He is 6-foot-2 and posted a 4.45-second 40 when he come out of college. Advertisement Simi Fehoko: Fehoko is the one receiver the Cardinals added new to the room since free agency began. He is 6-foot-4 and 218 pounds and ran the 40 in 4.44 seconds. He adds length and speed. The Cardinals guaranteed almost all his salary and paid him $250,000 to sign. He had only six catches for 106 yards last season for the L.A. Chargers but played 244 offensive snaps, his first extended playing time on offense in his career. Xavier Weaver: Weaver made the team as an undrafted rookie last year. He is 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, and his pro day 40 time was 4.42 seconds. The team seems to like him and he got a little playing time late last season.
