The gloss is shiny without being sticky, and the pink tint gives a subtle, natural pop of color. It's become my go-to for everyday wear when I want something moisturizing and a little extra shine." — Chloe

Promising review: "My favorite concealer! I blend it out with a sponge so it's not as full coverage as it could be, and it stays all day! If you used your finger or a brush, it would be a more full coverage option. But I like a little less. It's the best!" — Mindyb373
15. A lip balm stick from Clinique for folks who want a fully defined pout without having to use several lip products. And the fact that moisturizing mango and shea butters help the lips stay hydrated during wear doesn't hurt either.

Target
Promising review:"I'M OBSESSED!!! My under-eyes have always creased super badly, and I've been looking for a setting spray to fix that problem, and this is the ONE. Even after my eight-hour shifts, my makeup does not budge and looks like I just put it on. This is def my new go-to." — em
19. A travel-size juicy lip plumper from Tarte that can help make your lips look fuller — minus the lip filler injection. This lippie deposits a subtle wash of color that also gives your pout a glass-like finish.
Target
Promising review:"Love this product. Goes on so smoothly, subtle color. Def my go-to!" — Laney
20. An eyeshadow primer from Milani that is just as small as a lip balm and can keep your eyeshadow crease-free all day long. Whether you're doing your eye makeup on a plane or in the backseat of a car, this product should glide onto your lids without a hitch.
Target
Promising review:"I have oily eyelids, and this is the only product that actually works for me. I used to use Smashbox's primer, but it's discontinued, and I've been struggling to find a replacement. Lucky for me since Milani is a fraction of the price :)." — Ellisbee
21. A satin lipstick from L'Oréal Paris that's perfect for folks who prefer a glossy-looking lip over matte. Maybe it's finally time to replace that ride-or-die lipstick that never leaves your side and lives at the bottom of your purse (you know the one).
Target
Promising review:"I bought two lipsticks as I needed them in a pinch, and I am very pleased with the color and the quality of these lipsticks. Great value and they are pretty moisturizing as well." — Erica7
22. A dual-ended contour stick from Wet n Wild that also comes with a highlighter to make your complexion look snatched. The stick's rounded tips ensure that the product will hit every curve of your face, and because it's basically two products in one, you have no excuse not to bring it with you on your next big trip.

Promising review:"This highlighter is priced nicely, blends easily, is tolerated well by my extremely sensitive skin, and looks great. I don't have hours to spend on my face, and this very efficient, double-duty product is a game changer for me. I keep a spare one in my cabinet so I never run out. Sometimes I need to reapply in the evening if I'm going out. Great product!" — Steviegene
23.
A volumizing, waterproof mascara from Neutrogena that makes lashes look longer and bigger sans any messy glue and false eyelashes. An outdoor wedding in the middle of summer is no match for a heavy-duty mascara like this one!
Target
Promising review:"This is my favorite mascara! I have had allergic reactions to other mascaras and keep coming back to this one. Always perfect coverage and great product!" — Mer
Price: $10.79 (available in three shades)

Target
Promising review:"Very nice, slight tint and pleasant aroma. I love how a little goes a long way and moisturizes my lips long term. Not sticky or overly anything. I've even worn this to bed because I love it so much. My dental hygienist even asked me what I had on because my lips held up through my cleaning." — Laura808
Price: $3.49
25. A lip primer from MAC Cosmetics that prepares the pout for lipstick or gloss application without the need for a full-on lip exfoliating routine. (Step aside, lip scrubs!) It polishes and hydrates the lips in one swipe, and is so small, you might as well throw it in your ditty bag so you can give your lips a quick lil' spa day no matter where you are.
Target
Promising review:"Started using this last year. I used to be loyal to another brand for about eight years and switched to Mac after the other product degraded in quality and would fall apart. The price for Mac is higher, but I only have to apply once, and I'm good. I'm so happy it's available at Target now. I wear matte lipstick and sometimes gloss, and the product does not move around." — Mercy Skye
Price: $25

28 Small Summer Essentials To Keep In Your Purse
A Revlon oil-absorbing volcanic face roller that works just like your go-to oil-blotting sheets, but it doesn't create any extra waste! Just roll the mattifying stick all over your T-zone (or anywhere else that gets greasy) and soak up excess oil. A handheld fan if you sweat at just the thought of riding the subway or sitting in the park without any shade. Not only will it cool you off, but it also doubles as a portable phone charger and flashlight when you're in a pinch. A Super Spritz SPF50 Face Mist so you can refresh your sunscreen all day long and not worry about ruining your makeup or having to rub in lotion with germ-y hands. A pair of classic sunnies that look like Ray-Bans but will run you way, way less. 😎 Or a pair of trendy (and durable) acetate frames with polarized lenses — designed to block 99% of reflected light and 100% of UV light — so you can justify spending a little more on them. The Ring Thing — a waterproof jewelry holder you can use when you're getting a manicure, enjoying a day at the beach, or lifting weights at the gym. Simply slip your ring in here, and you won't have to worry about losing it at the bottom of a tote bag or denting/scratching it during any activities. A trio of Touchland sanitizer sprays in de-li-cious scents like wild watermelon, velvet peach, and berry bliss. 🍉🍑🫐 Sometimes a sink is hard to come by, but these are the next best thing. A Birdie personal safety alarm with a LOUD 130-decibel siren and flashing strobe light that'll give you a little peace of mind whether you're out and about with friends, on a hike with your dog, or just running to Target. And if you're wondering how loud 130 decibels is — it's equivalent to a jet take-off and considered the threshold of pain when it comes to what our ears can handle. A collapsible steel straw if you're working on being more sustainable, but absolutely HATE those environmentally friendly paper straws that turn to mush in two seconds flat. A finishing stick that looks like a lil' mascara wand, but it's actually for the hairs on your head! If flyaways are something that bug you, give your hairline a good swipe and watch them be tamed without a fight. A bug bite suction tool because it's this or scratching at it until it bleeds, and that is not the way, my friends. Don't let the lil' suckers get in the way of your backyard bonfires — you've waited months for this!! A Cocokind Mymatcha All-Over Moisture Stick — a versatile lil' product you can use on your lips, under eyes, and dry spots. The hydrating formula is packed with coconut oil, sunflower oil, and vitamin E, which are gentle on your skin barrier, as well as caffeine-rich matcha, which can help relieve puffiness. A cooling body spray made with ingredients you can 100% pronounce! (Pure essential oils, water, and witch hazel.) Spritz it on whenever you're getting clammy, and it'll help ya cool off before you start spraying sweat like you're in a Cathy comic. A dress weight so you can avoid a Marilyn Monroe moment when a gust of wind tries to take your skirt for a spin. I've lived in NYC long enough to have had this experience (damn you giant SoHo grates!) and let me say I desperately wish I had these on hand. Some bestselling Starface Hydro-Stars! They're made with 100% hydrocolloid, which helps absorb icky impurities, and the packaging has a built-in mirror so you can apply them on the go. Some Spot My UV SPF-detecting stickers, which give you a heads up when it's time to reapply sunscreen if that's something you are ~famously~ bad at doing. A magnetic luggage tag you can use to hold your sun hat so you don't forget it at the restaurant after bottomless brunch. A TonyMoly solid perfume stick that looks like a freakin' bunny and won't leak all over your stuff if you throw your bag around like it's indestructible. A set of TikTok-famous storage scrunchies so you can keep your cash money, lip balm, keys, and other small accessories nice and accessible. Ofc, you can also use it to pull your hair up when you're sweating bullets on the subway. A tube of anti-blister balm, because look, those sandals you're wearing are super cute, but the jury is still out on whether or not they'll rub so bad your feet end up looking like raw meat. A benzene-free I Dew Care "Tap Secret" mattifying powder shampoo that eliminates grease at your roots and keeps your scalp nice and healthy with antioxidant-rich black ginseng and nourishing biotin. A set of DEET-free handy mosquito-repelling bracelets you can wear when camping, walking your dog, or attending backyard BBQs. They come in resealable packages so you can even use 'em more than once. A trusty stick of Megababe's Thigh Rescue because enjoying the breeze for a few hours in a pair of shorts or a skirt shouldn't result in a days-long angry red rash. A pack of clinical-strength SweatBlock wipes capable of stopping hyperhidrosis, nervous sweating, and hormonal sweating right in its tracks. If pit stains are your summer enemy, this is their kryptonite. A tiny lil' cleaning ball with a sticky interior that picks up lint, crumbs, dust, sand, and whatever else is floating around in that black hole you call a purse. A set of heel caps so you don't become one with the Earth next time you attend an outdoor wedding or wear the wrong shoes to your friend's backyard brunch. A pack of AirPod-cleaning putty ready to remove a shocking amount of earwax from your earbuds. Turns out they're not dying... they were just struggling to pump your tunes through a thick layer of dead skin cells and sebum. And a smudge-proof, transfer-proof lip stain masque that goes on blue and then peels off to reveal a natural matte shade that lasts for up to 10 hours!

17 Back In The Day Experiences That Are Now Obsolete
Recently, older adults of the BuzzFeed Community shared the common but unique experiences from "back in the day" that are now practically obsolete, and as a Gen Z'er, I'm completely fascinated. Here are some once-common practices from the past that, depending on your age, will have you either feeling super nostalgic or incredibly perplexed: "Not having disposable diapers. Cloth diapers were delivered by a diaper service, and they were washed and reused." —Anonymous "In the '50s, a man selling vegetables would drive his truck slowly through the neighborhood, calling out, 'Vegetables!' People would run out of their houses to see what he had, and he'd stop so they could buy." "Cigarettes were in a vending machine, and kids would be sent to the store to buy them for our parents. Also, if you had a penny, you could buy a piece of candy!" —Anonymous "We freely walked on and off campus at our own school and other schools. There were no fences to keep kids inside or other people out. Former students would visit and chat with the principal, and students would walk home during lunch and come back. It wasn't a big deal back then." "In the 1960s, cars didn't have seatbelts. My mom would take loads of neighborhood kids to the beach, and we'd all just hang out in the 'Way Back' (station wagon), talking, laughing, and sliding around." —Anonymous "I live in Kentucky. When we were kids, what we called 'spray planes' used to fly over us, releasing insecticide to kill all the mosquitoes. We'd run outside and wave at the man in the plane, all while the insecticide came raining down." "Girls could not wear slacks to school during the '40s through '60s — dresses or skirts only. We had to kneel to prove our skirts touched the floor, and if they didn't, we were sent home to change clothes. Boys had to wear belts and have their shirts buttoned, except the very top button. Boys could wear jeans, but nothing ragged or torn." —smartwitch66 "When I lived in Wisconsin in the late '60s and early '70s, the fire department would open the hydrants down the streets on hot and humid days to let the kids cool off. Good times!" "Before photocopy machines, they used a device called a mimeograph in schools. A stencil was attached to the drum of the machine, and when the handle was turned, it would spit out a mirror image sheet of paper. The process used an alcohol-based ink. Many times, the teacher would walk out of the office, be gone for 10 minutes, then come back with freshly printed papers. The smell of that fresh ink was heavenly; half the class would huff their paper as it was handed to them. Then Xerox came along and spoiled it all." —Kerry, 60 "In some places where I've lived, pregnant teenagers weren't allowed to attend regular schools because they were thought to be bad influences." "In the '60s, my mom would have to ask the grocery store lady cashier for a Kotex belt, which was kept hidden under the conveyor cabinet." —chillsinger56 "When the new car models came out, it was common to go window-shopping at the dealerships. Even though the salesperson knew you were too young to purchase a car, they'd still let you look around and take brochures home." "Making long-distance phone calls used to cost you by the minute." —Anonymous "Up until the '80s and before cable was available, there was nothing broadcast on TV late at night. At 1 a.m., after late-night shows ended, the stations played an instrumental of 'God Bless America' with a video of a waving flag. Then, white fuzz would appear on the screen for several hours until the morning shows came on the following day." "The number of people who'd smoke in hospitals. It was common in the '70s to see that smoking was allowed in the emergency department waiting area, the hospital cafeteria, and even in the patient rooms!" —Anonymous "Back in the late '60s, we wouldn't wear any shoes during the summer months. We'd walk around barefoot, even in San Francisco! No one even batted an eye." Lastly: "Littering. In the '50s and '60s, eating in the car was a regular thing. Our dad taught us to throw our food wrappers out the window to 'keep the car tidy.' Now, if you litter, it's a pretty hefty fine." —Anonymous, 70 If you're an older adult, what are some everyday experiences from "back in the day" that are now obsolete? If you want a chance to be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post, let us know in the comments, or you can anonymously submit your story using the form below!
