Chris Hughes JoJo Siwa get intimate: Full saga explained with Kath Ebbs and Celebrity Big Brother fallout

Express Tribune2 days ago

JoJo Siwa's stint on Celebrity Big Brother 2025 proved dramatic not only for reality television but for her personal life, ending with a public breakup, a surge of speculation about a new romance, and renewed discussion about her sexual identity.
The American performer and former Dance Moms star, 22, became unexpectedly close to British reality TV personality Chris Hughes, 32, during their time on the show.
This relationship coincided with Siwa's split from her then-partner, Australian DJ and podcaster Kath Ebbs, 27.
Hughes, best known for appearing in the third season of Love Island UK, had previously dated singer Jesy Nelson and participated in several reality formats.
His connection with Siwa gained public attention after he defended her against homophobic remarks made by fellow housemate Mickey Rourke, who was later removed from the show following a verbal altercation.
From that point on, Siwa and Hughes were seen frequently together in intimate, though non-explicit, moments.
Siwa crawled into Hughes's bed, they spooned during nightly chats, and exchanged forehead kisses — all while cameras rolled. 'Why didn't you dream about me then?' Siwa quipped at one point, after Hughes confessed he missed her while sleeping.
On screen, Siwa also made a significant personal revelation about her identity.
Speaking to fellow housemate Danny Beard, she said, 'I've always told myself I'm a lesbian... I've realised: Oh, I'm not a lesbian, I'm queer.' Siwa added, 'F--- the L, I'm going to the Q.'
Shortly after the show ended, Ebbs posted a lengthy Instagram Reel revealing that Siwa ended their relationship during the wrap party.
'I was in a complete state of shock,' Ebbs said, noting the relationship had been serious enough that Siwa had spoken about marriage.
Ebbs said they felt 'betrayed' and described watching Siwa's interactions with Hughes on television as 'unsettling.'
Responding on This Morning, Siwa and Hughes said their bond was intense but platonic.
'You can have a soulmate friendship,' Hughes said. Siwa confirmed the breakup but explained that it occurred after an unplanned conversation during the wrap party. 'I wasn't happy,' she admitted.
Though neither party has officially confirmed a romantic relationship, speculation has intensified.
On 1 June, Hughes shared Instagram photos of a 'spa and Dr Mario night' with Siwa's father, Tom Siwa. Meanwhile, Siwa's mother, Jessalynn, uploaded footage showing her daughter cuddling and kissing Hughes on the head during a family game night.
Both Hughes and Siwa posted 'photo dumps' to social media showing them looking increasingly comfortable together, further fuelling dating rumours.

Siwa also marked the beginning of Pride Month with a heartfelt Instagram message. 'What I have learned over the last 22 years is that pride is all about love, acceptance, and celebration,' she wrote.
While the exact nature of Siwa and Hughes's relationship remains unclear, their evolving bond — broadcast to millions — has prompted open discussions around friendship, identity, and the often-complicated overlap between public and private life in the reality television age.

'this one's about you!!' – sabrina carpenter announces new single 'Manchild' after viral teaser buzz

Sabrina Carpenter has sparked excitement among fans with a new Instagram post teasing her upcoming release, 'Manchild.' The pop singer shared a striking photo of herself hitchhiking, accompanied by the caption, 'this ones about you!! 'Manchild' is out this Thursday 6/5 8pm EST ❤️ special 7" vinyl available now.' This confirms that Carpenter's new music will be released on June 5, marking the latest chapter in her evolving discography. This post follows a viral video Carpenter shared yesterday, featuring her hitchhiking in micro denim shorts and heels. The 16-second clip, captioned 'we're READY,' quickly gained traction online, fueling fan speculation about the nature of her upcoming project. The video's casual tone and visual style led many to make a possible connection to 'Manchild,' particularly after promotional billboards appeared across Texas. These billboards, credited to SC Entertainment, prominently featured the word 'Manchild' along with cryptic phrases such as 'HEY MEN,' 'AMEN,' and 'I SWEAR THEY CHOOSE ME I'M NOT CHOOSING THEM.' The billboards also included a 2025 copyright, further indicating a new release was imminent. Though Carpenter has not clarified whether 'Manchild' will be a single, music video, or part of a larger project, industry observers note the timing is strategic. Carpenter's North American Short n' Sweet Tour resumes in July, suggesting 'Manchild' could become a summer anthem. Moreover, Carpenter is set to headline Primavera Sound Barcelona this weekend alongside Charli XCX and Chappell Roan, providing an ideal platform for promoting new material. The caption to the post, 'this ones about you!!', still remains in question, as to whom this is directed. Is this single also going to be a subtle or a much more direct dig towards ex-boyfriend Barry Keoghan, as it was seen in 'Please Please Please' remasterd/remix video.

Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall update: Interim champ claims UFC goat is 'retired'

Interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has suggested that details for his next bout are finalised, telling fans he now has a 'date and location' for his return to the Octagon. The British fighter, 32, made the comments during a conversation with former UFC champions Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen, amid continued speculation over a potential showdown with Jon Jones. 'This is exciting times for the heavyweight division,' Aspinall said. 'I've got a date and a location. The active heavyweight champion is here to fight them all – let's get it on.' Aspinall won the interim title in November 2023 with a first-round knockout of Sergei Pavlovich. The bout was hastily arranged after Jon Jones withdrew from a title defence against Stipe Miocic due to injury. Aspinall later defended the interim belt with a 60-second knockout of Curtis Blaydes in July, becoming one of few UFC fighters to risk defending a provisional title. Jones returned to action in November, stopping Miocic in the third round to retain the full heavyweight title. However, the 38-year-old has yet to commit to a unification bout with Aspinall and has since fuelled retirement rumours. 'Jon's retired,' Aspinall added. 'What are you talking about, guys? He's had a fantastic career... but we move on. I'm the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.' With the UFC schedule already filled through September, Aspinall's next fight appears most likely to take place in October or later. His comments have been interpreted as confirmation that he has reached an agreement with the UFC for a future bout, although an opponent has not been announced. Aspinall boasts a 15-3 record in MMA and is 8-1 in the UFC. All of his UFC victories have come by stoppage, with seven of them ending in the first round. His only loss in the promotion was the result of a knee injury against Blaydes in 2022. Despite being widely regarded as one of the sport's greatest athletes, Jones's career has been marred by legal issues and multiple failed drug tests. He remains undefeated in competition, with his only official loss coming via disqualification in 2009. As the heavyweight division seeks renewed momentum, Aspinall's active approach has positioned him as a central figure in shaping its future.
