Post Malone Charts A New Global Hit... For A Very Sad Reason

Ozzy Osbourne's music has invaded charts all around the world since his passing in July. He has posthumously reached new highs, dominated tallies, and scored hits both on his own as well as with Black Sabbath. Some of his tunes credit other artists who reach the weekly rankings alongside the late great musician. One such star is Post Malone, who collects a new worldwide smash and big wins on several genre-specific tallies in America thanks to his one collaboration with the Prince of Darkness. 'Take What You Want' Becomes a New Global Wins Malone recruited both Osbourne and Travis Scott for his song 'Take What You Want,' which was released more than half a decade ago. The collaboration opens at No. 10 on the Hot Alternative Songs ranking and No. 16 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs list. The tune narrowly reaches the worldwide all-genre tally, the Billboard Global 200, where it begins its time at No. 192. Ozzy Osbourne Scores His First Alternative Chart Hit Osbourne is brand new to the Hot Alternative Songs chart, as 'Take What You Want' posthumously delivers him not only his first top 10, but also his first appearance on the roster. He has now reached the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs tally a lucky 13 times. The multi-artist collaboration marks just his fourth placement under his own name on the global list. Travis Scott Earns His Rock and Alternative Debut Scott is the newcomer in this mix. While he is one of the most successful names in hip-hop history, the rapper lands on both of the rock and alternative rankings for the very first time, thanks to Osbourne's popularity and the desire for his millions of fans to consume everything with his name on it. 'Take What You Want' Gains Everywhere At the same time that 'Take What You Want' debuts on three tallies, it also reappears on two other homegrown rankings. The cut bolts from No. 8 to No. 3 on the Alternative Digital Song Sales chart and reenters the Alternative Streaming Songs tally at No. 14. Post Malone's Hollywood's Bleeding Malone included 'Take What You Want' on Hollywood's Bleeding, his third full-length. That project blended hip-hop, pop, and even elements of rock and alternative music, with the latter two being somewhat new to the musician. The track was officially pushed as a single about a month after the album arrived, by which time it had already peaked at No. 8 on the Hot 100, giving Osbourne his most recent top 10 on that tally.

Ozzy Osbourne Doubles His Total Hits On One Chart Following His Death

Ozzy Osbourne's chart run in his home country of the United Kingdom has been nothing short of historic since his passing in July. As both a soloist and a member of Black Sabbath, he's reached new peaks, collected major wins on the albums rankings, and watched some of his most successful songs climb to never-before-seen high points or debut on tallies they'd never touched before. Weeks after his death, listeners in the rocker's home country still haven't moved on, and they continue to send Osbourne classics to charts that, in many cases, have never hosted them. 'Crazy Train' Becomes a Streaming Smash Four of Osbourne's solo cuts debut in the U.K. this frame. Three appear on just one ranking, while another, 'Crazy Train,' surges to new highs on several lists, finds a new home on another, and becomes a milestone hit for the late rocker. 'Crazy Train' arrives on the Official Streaming chart at No. 49, making it one of the 50 most-played songs of any style or language in the U.K. Osbourne earns just his second career hit as a soloist on that list, following his 2019 debut with Post Malone and Travis Scott on 'Take What You Want.' That track is also back this week, returning to both the Official Single Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts simultaneously. 'Crazy Train' Jumps on Several Charts As it opens on the streaming-only tally, 'Crazy Train' leaps on several other rankings. The track breaks into the top 10 for the first time on the Official Singles Downloads chart, improving from No. 13 to No. 9. On the Official Single Sales roster, it comes close to that tier, moving from No. 14 to No. 11. The smash also climbs to a new high point on the main songs tally, pushing north to No. 25, while holding at its all-time best of No. 3 on the Official Rock & Metal Singles list. 'Bark at the Moon' and 'Mr. Crowley' Debut Two more Osbourne favorites, 'Bark at the Moon' and 'Mr. Crowley,' make their first appearances on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart, entering at Nos. 27 and 38, respectively. As they arrive, Osbourne as a soloist has now placed a milestone 10 tracks on the list of the bestselling rock songs in the country. Ozzy Osbourne Owns More Than 10% of One Chart This week, Osbourne occupies more than 12% of the entire Official Rock & Metal Singles chart, and that number doesn't take into account Black Sabbath's current wins. 'Mr. Crowley' and 'Bark at the Moon' are joined by 'Crazy Train' at No. 3, while 'Mama, I'm Coming Home' and 'No More Tears' rise to new peaks of Nos. 4 and 5, respectively. 'Hellraiser' Returns to Physical Singles Chart Another classic, 'Hellraiser,' barely manages to reach the Official Physical Singles chart for the first time. The 100-spot tally welcomes the tune at No. 100. Osbourne has now scored eight hits on the list of the top-selling physical singles in the U.K., and he returns posthumously for the first time in 14 years. His previous most recent debut came in April 2011 with 'Flying High Again.'

Post Malone Returns To The Charts With Some Help From Ozzy Osbourne

Post Malone's career has seen him thrive in nearly every genre imaginable — pop, country, rock, and hip-hop — and his versatility is on full display on the United Kingdom's charts this week. Several of his songs return to various tallies, and they highlight how wide-ranging his appeal is. One of his comeback cuts even reappears for the first time in more than half a decade. 'Take What You Want' Returns After More Than Five Years 'Take What You Want,' Malone's collaboration with Ozzy Osbourne and Travis Scott, is back on the Official Singles Sales chart this week, landing at No. 85. It performs a bit better on the Official Singles Downloads ranking, where it settles at No. 80. Ozzy Osbourne's Passing The bounce back onto the two lists comes in the wake of Osbourne's death in July. After an initial surge of renewed attention that was focused on the rock legend's solo catalog and his work with Black Sabbath, fans have also turned to his 2019 duet with Malone, making it a hit again in Osbourne's home country. A Late-Career Ozzy Osbourne Highlight When 'Take What You Want' debuted in 2019 as part of Malone's album Hollywood's Bleeding, it launched at No. 51 on both the sales and downloads tallies. Until now, it hadn't been seen on either list since that year, though it did enjoy a few weeks on the two lists during its initial heyday. 'Sunflower' Returns to the Hip-Hop and R&B Chart Another older Malone smash, 'Sunflower' with Swae Lee, also finds its way back onto one U.K.-based ranking. The blockbuster single reenters the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles chart at No. 26. The Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse hit has now spent 262 weeks on that ranking, and it previously climbed all the way to No. 1, and it stands as one of the most successful hip-hop tracks in history. 'I Had Some Help' Still Going Strong Malone's first major country hit 'I Had Some Help' with Morgan Wallen continues to perform well in the U.K., even though it first became a smash in mid-2024. The country crossover single slips one space to No. 98 on the Official Streaming chart. It soared as high as No. 2 on the list during its 63-week run. The Diamond Collection Continues to Climb On the albums front, Malone is also on the rise. The Diamond Collection, which compiles many of his biggest hits – most of which have been certified diamond in America after moving 10 million equivalent units – improves to No. 35 on the Official Albums list and to No. 24 on the Official Albums Streaming chart. Interest in Malone's catalog, partially spurred by 'Take What You Want,' may explain the gains.
