Zendaya Had One of the Chicest Zoot Suits of the Night at the 2025 Met Gala
Though Zendaya has only attended the Met Gala a handful of times, the actor has already become a fashion powerhouse at the event—consistently understanding the assignment, and always delivering a moment. This was the case yet again at the 2025 Met Gala. Styled by Law Roach, the star wore a custom Louis Vuitton design by Pharrell Williams. (She is a face for the label, after all.) The white tailored suit paid specific homage to the rock and roll history of the zoot suit—a staple look of Black dandyism. (Zoot suits are known for their high-wasted, tight-cuffed silhouettes.)
The white single-breasted tuxedo, waistcoat, silk shirt-and-tie, and flared trousers were clean and contemporary. According to the label, her zoot suit served as homage to the era of power dressing in the 1970s and 1980s. Particularly, they were sure to reference trailblazing Black women who wore suits during the era, especially within the rock and roll space. (Iconic artists such as Grace Jones and Gladys Bentley come to mind.)
Given the dress code for the night—dubbed Tailored For You—Zendaya's choice to don a traditional suit ensemble felt very much in the spirit of the night. She accessorized the look with a wide-brimmed floppy white felt hat, and a Speedy evening bag hand-encrusted with pearls. Her jewels, meanwhile, were by Bulgari.
With her latest appearance tonight, Zendaya is now a seven-time Met Gala attendee. Her past red carpet appearances have been equally as striking to behold. Last year, for the 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion' theme, Zendaya delivered not one but two striking ensembles—the first an ocean blue gown by Maison Margiela's John Galliano, and the second a never-before-worn vintage Givenchy couture from the spring 1996 collection. For the 2019 'Camp: Notes on Fashion' gala, meanwhile, she notably showed up in a Cinderella-like Tommy Hilfiger gown—complete with stylist Roach as her fairy godmother. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!

What Saquon Barkley's retirement talk means for the Eagles
What Saquon Barkley's retirement talk means for the Eagles During the most recent edition of the 'Green Light with Chris Long,' Saquon Barkley hinted at a looming retirement and we're examining how that impacts the Philadelphia Eagles Saquon Barkley has had a whirlwind offseason following the Eagles' Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs in February. Philadelphia's All-Pro running back made waves for a golf outing with President Trump, attended the MET GALA, and served fans cheesesteaks at Geno's after landing the cover of Madden NFL 26. Barkley is loving life, but a recent interview has some Eagles fans nervous about the future. During the most recent edition of the 'Green Light with Chris Long,' Barkley hinted at a looming retirement. 'That's a great question. I'll probably be one of those guys that it would be out of nowhere. I would probably just wake up one day, whether it's next year or two years or four years, and just be like, 'Yeah, it's over.'' Barkley then referenced the legendary Barry Sanders, who walked away from the Detroit Lions and peacefully left millions on the table with his decision. 'One of my favorite players of all time, probably my favorite player of all time, is Barry Sanders, so probably similar to that. Maybe one day it will be out of nowhere. I'll probably be ballin' and just be like, 'Yeah,' and call it quits.' Barkley could just be talking and experiencing the varied emotions of an all-time great season and his mortality as a legendary running back who doesn't want to exit the game with a down year or multiple injuries. With Philadelphia five days from a mandatory minicamp, we're examining how Barkley's comments will impact the Eagles. Barkley's 2024 workload Likely still experiencing some fatigue, Barkley could spend the summer and training camp in bubble wrap after 482 total touches during the 17-game regular season and four-game jaunt to a Super Bowl. According to The Athletic, of the 11 running backs since 2000 with 400+ carries in a single season, none have finished inside the top 15 the following season. That list includes Derrick Henry, Jamal Lewis, and Shaun Alexander. Philadelphia signed A.J. Dillon in free agency, and Will Shipley is a talented dual-threat. With 13 picks in the 2026 NFL draft, the Eagles could add another rusher next year. Barry Sanders affect Sanders rushed for 2,053 yards in 1997, and then the Lions running back only played one more season before walking away. An Eagles repeat could set the table for Barkley to exit stage left, or the running back could play out the deal, ensuring ten years in the NFL. Financial implications Barkley led the charge for running backs to be paid more, and the Eagles running back reset the market entirely, becoming the highest-paid ball carrier in NFL history. According to Adam Schefter, the two-year, $41.2 million deal makes Barkley the NFL's first $20+ million a year running back and the highest paid at the position in league history. According to Over The Cap, the extension creates $1,332,000 in salary cap space. Timetable As long as Barkley maintains his elite status, he'll be around until 2027 at the earliest. Barkley's salary isn't guaranteed for 2028, and he has a void year established for 2029 when he'll be 32 years old and count $31 million against the salary cap. The new contract is fully guaranteed for $36 million at the time of signing. The full guarantee includes Barkley's 2025 and 2026 salaries, workout bonuses, and option bonuses. $2.5 million is guaranteed in 2027. Another $15 million in incentives is available.

Why did Yulissa leave the villa? 'Love Island' star exits after racist remarks surface
Why did Yulissa leave the villa? 'Love Island' star exits after racist remarks surface Show Caption Hide Caption 'Love Island USA' host Ariana Madix on if she watches 'The Valley' "Love Island USA" host Ariana Madix explains to USA TODAY's Ralphie Aversa what it would take to get her back on Bravo reality TV show. The latest season of "Love Island" isn't yet a week old, and already it's mired in scandal. Contestant Yulissa Escobar was abruptly ousted from the villa with little explanation from narrator Iain Stirling during the second episode of Season 7, which aired June 4. Different from the traditional departures, in which contestants are either voted off by the public or their fellow "islanders," Escobar seems to have been removed by the powers that be. USA TODAY has reached out to Peacock, which airs the show, for comment. For many, her exit was welcome – before the show even began to air, Escobar, 27, became the subject of controversy when several clips of her using a racial slur on a podcast surfaced. Backlash quickly reached a fever pitch online, with fans of the show vowing to vote her off when they got the chance. 'Love Island USA' host Ariana Madix reveals she eavesdrops on contestants: 'I love gossip' That opportunity never came, however, when just short of 20 minutes into the show, Stirling said simply, "Yulissa has left the villa." Escobar, who had used a racial slur toward Black people when describing a previous relationship, was coupled up with 22-year-old Ace Greene from Los Angeles. With the Miami native gone, Greene is now single, free to "recouple" with the other bikini-clad twentysomethings looking for love in NBC's Fiji "Love Island" villa. "Love Island USA," a spin-off of the popular U.K. reality series, has proven a massive boon for NBC, particularly Season 6, which produced three closely followed couples. The format, which sees eligible singles from across the country live in a villa, summer camp style, and play musical chairs with their romantic relationships, is ripe for online commentary. As fans get to watch along, sometimes voting their least-liked individuals out, the side conversation around the happenings in the villa becomes as much an activity as watching the show itself. New episodes of Love Island USA stream daily at 9 p.m. E.T. on Peacock.

'Second Threads': Past, present mesh in new art exhibit
"Looks" by Ryan Sterling. The Black Heritage Gallery will open its latest exhibit — 'Sacred Threads: The Art of Ryann Sterling' — with a public reception starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday. The exhibit — which features collage, mixed media, sculpting and photography — explores 'the sacred and often secret intersections of southern Black spirituality, femininity and personal memory,' said Jeanine Blaney, executive director of the gallery and curator of the exhibit. 'Ryann's ability to channel the past while holding space for the present and envisioning the future is what makes her work both powerful and necessary,' Blaney said. 'Each piece she creates becomes a visual prayer, drawing the viewer into a layered conversation between history and hope.' Blaney said the exhibit 'invites viewers on an intimate journey through time, culture and consciousness.' Sterling's art has previously been featured at the New Orleans African American Museum, New Orleans Museum of Art, as well as numerous collage festivals and galleries across Louisiana. Attendees of Friday's reception will get to meet Sterling and learn about her creative process and inspiration. Blaney said the exhibit will be on display through July 26 in the second-floor gallery inside the Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center, 1001 Ryan St.
