Who is Kristen Stewart's partner Dylan Meyer, and what we know about their intimate wedding
The couple said their vows in an intimate gathering attended by close friends and family, including Ashley Benson and her husband, Brandon Davis. Prior to the ceremony, they obtained a marriage license at the courthouse. Meyer — a screenwriter and actor — first made headlines in 2019 when she began dating Stewart.
Dylan Meyer, daughter of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Meyer, has carved out her own path in Hollywood as both a writer and actor. Her writing credits include the 2015 film Loose Ends and the 2016 drama XOXO, starring Sarah Hyland.
Between 2017 and 2018, she also wrote for eight episodes of the sci-fi comedy series Miss 2059. One of her most prominent achievements is co-writing the screenplay for Moxie, Amy Poehler's 2021 Netflix film, alongside Tamara Chestna.
Meyer has also appeared in a number of short films, including The Death, Return of Superman, Wrestling Isn't Wrestling, and Jem Reacts to the New Jem and the Holograms Trailer.
She also starred alongside Stewart in an episode of Homemade. In May 2023, she joined the Writers Guild of America strike and took to Instagram to share her support, writing: 'You may not know this, but we (the writers) have struck because 'The Man' is trying to get us down. Without writers, your movies and tv shows will suck. Trust. Our fight for fair wages is so important we've been forced to walk around and wave signs about it - and we need your support! If you love stories, tell the studios to value the storytellers! (sic).'
Stewart and Meyer first crossed paths in 2013 while working on a film set, but their romantic relationship didn't blossom until six years later. During a November 2019 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Stewart reflected on their unexpected reunion through a mutual friend.
She shared, 'I met her years ago on a movie and I hadn't seen her in six years, and then she rocked up at a friend's birthday party, and I was like, 'Where have you been, and how have I not known you?' She's been living in LA alongside my life somehow, but not ever converging.'
Stewart also spoke about their similar upbringings, saying, 'We're both from LA and we really love LA. We both felt like trolls as kids. We're like so similar but different. She's a writer. She's brilliant.'

From Raid 2 to Kung Fu Hustle, watch these 5 trending films that will leave you stunned with its climax, streaming on...
Few movies in the action, suspense, and emotion genres stand out, weaving cinematic tales that thrill us. Here is a list of some of the best action-packed films currently streaming on Netflix. Each has its own unique flavors, impressive stunts, or unfathomable plots that are guaranteed to engage and entertain. Raid 2 (IMDb: 8.0) Raid 2, featuring Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, is gripping Indian action thriller that continues the story of a valiant police officer battling crime and corruption. This film's intense action scenes and strong performances make it a mainstay of favorites among high-octane Bollywood thriller fans. Kung Fu Hustle (IMDb: 7.7) This film carries a rare mix of humor and heightened martial arts action. The film retains comic book logic, following a two-bit crook trying to bust into a dangerous gang when he stumbles onto secret martial arts masters in his old neighborhood. It features over-the-top fighting and plenty of laughs, amplifying the action and humor for primo entertainment. My Oxford Year (IMDb: 6.8) It is an overseas youth development domestic film. It tells the story of a young student studying abroad in Oxford. The student is a happy dream chaser, who struggles to adapt to a demanding new environment and a foreign culture while pursuing her studies in architecture. Though less action-oriented, the film has emotional depth, offering a coming-of-age tale with a little more than a flavor of personal growth. Extraction (IMDb: 6.7) This high-octane thriller shows off a dynamic performance by Chris Hemsworth as a black ops mercenary given the impossible job of rescuing a crime lord's son from a hostile city. Relentless action makes the film scarcely able to breathe, and while the direction lacks finesse, the movie compensates with sheer audacity. The Night Comes for Us (IMDb: 7.0) This film from Indonesia, an action spectacle, follows a triad enforcer who is torn between giving in to the triad and doing the right thing. It's known for its violence and the intricate choreography of that violence. Action movie aficionados are guaranteed a visceral experience that pushes the boundaries of action cinema.

British Actor Terence Stamp, Who Played General Zod In Early Superman Films, Dies At 87
London: Terence Stamp, the British actor who often played the role of a complex villain, including that of General Zod in the early Superman films, has died. He was 87. His death on Sunday was disclosed in a death notice published online. The London-born Stamp started his film career with 1962's seafaring "Billy Budd," for which he earned an Oscar nomination. Stamp's six decades in the business were peppered with highlights, including his touching portrayal of the transsexual Bernadette in 1994's "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert." Stamp was also widely praised for his lead in director Steven Soderbergh's 1999 crime drama "The Limey." But it will be his portrayal of the bearded Zod in 1978's "Superman" and its sequel "Superman II" two years later, that most people associate with Stamp. As the Kryptonian arch enemy to Christopher Reeve's Man of Steel, Stamp introduced a darker and charming - more human - element to the franchise, one that's been replicated in countless superhero movies ever since. Stamp started out his film career in the early 1960s as part of the "angry young men" movement that was introducing an element of social realism into British moviemaking. That was perhaps most notable in the 1965 adaptation of John Fowles' creepy debut novel "The Collector," where he played the awkward and lonely Freddie Clegg, who kidnapped Samantha Eggar's Miranda Grey in a warped attempt to win her love. It was a performance that would earn the young Stamp, fresh off his Oscar nomination, the best actor award at the 1965 Cannes Film Festival. While part of that 1960s British movement, Stamp learned from some of the most seasoned actors from the classical era, including Laurence Olivier. "I worked with Olivier briefly on my second movie (1962's "Term of Trial)," Stamp recalled in an interview with the AP in 2013. "And he said to me, 'You should always study your voice.'" Stamp then segued into a spot-on Olivier impersonation, continuing, "'Because, as you get older, your looks go, but your voice will become empowered.'" Born in London's East End on July 22, 1938, Stamp lived a colourful life, particularly during the 1960s when he had a string of romances, including with actress Julie Christie and model Jean Shrimpton. He married 29-year-old Elizabeth O'Rourke in 2002 at the age of 64, but the couple divorced six years later. Stamp did not have any children. Stamp retained his looks as the years ticked by, his natural handsomeness hardened by a more grizzled look. He generally sought to keep his standards high, but up to a point. "I don't do crappy movies, unless I haven't got the rent," he said.

Netflix has a China problem, and it is called "China's Netflix"
Netflix may be staring at a huge problem, and it is China. Chinese streaming giants are reportedly quickly gaining ground on their American rivals in the booming Southeast Asian market. According to a report in Nikkei Asia, companies like iQiyi and Tencent are making major plays, shifting their focus to producing original content tailored for local audiences. Referred to as " China's Netflix ," iQiyi, a subsidiary of Baidu, has been expanding across Southeast Asia since 2019, with a strong presence in Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. The company has attracted 36 million monthly subscribers in the region by offering a mix of free ad-supported viewing and affordable subscription fees. In Thailand, iQiyi's library features over 9,000 titles, with more than 60% being Chinese productions. iQiyi hosts a plethora of content from Chinese period dramas to blockbuster Hollywood films. Moving forward, iQiyi is investing heavily in local content, says the report. The company plans to spend up to 1.54 million dollars ($1.54 million) per production and release four to six Thai titles annually, specifically targeting popular genres like "boys' love" and "girls' love" dramas. In Indonesia and Malaysia, iQiyi is partnering with local studios and carriers like Telkomsel to produce original content for the carrier's 170 million subscribers. iQiyi vies with Tencent Holdings and Alibaba Group Holding Ltd to rank among the biggest video-streaming platforms in China, with an estimated 400 million-plus monthly active users. Tencent's approach: WeTV and original productions Tencent launched its WeTV service in Southeast Asia in 2019 and is also prioritizing original content. Since 2024, the company has been producing local idol programs, which has led to the formation of successful groups like the seven-member boy band NexT1de. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like The 5 Books Warren Buffett Recommends You To Read in 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo iQiyi to open theme park Earlier this year, iQiyi said that it plans to open its first theme park this year, based on characters from its own shows. The forthcoming 'iQiyi Land' is set to open in the city of Yangzhou in Jiangsu province, just over two hours from Shanghai by high-speed train. iQiyi's market share and regional dominance While U.S. services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video entered the region around 2016 and hold a dominant share in some areas—nearly 60% in Singapore—Chinese companies are rapidly closing the gap. In Thailand, Chinese providers command about 40% of the market, surpassing the roughly 30% held by U.S. services. This is partly attributed to the large ethnic Chinese population in Southeast Asia and the popularity of Chinese content. The fierce competition in the domestic Chinese market is also a driving factor for this expansion. With domestic revenue and profits falling, Southeast Asia's young population and rising incomes present a significant growth opportunity. The region's streaming market is projected to reach 6.8 billion dollars by 2030, a 49% increase from 2024. AI Masterclass for Students. Upskill Young Ones Today!– Join Now
