Dylan Meyer, daughter of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Meyer, has carved out her own path in Hollywood as both a writer and actor. Her writing credits include the 2015 film Loose Ends and the 2016 drama XOXO, starring Sarah Hyland.
Between 2017 and 2018, she also wrote for eight episodes of the sci-fi comedy series Miss 2059. One of her most prominent achievements is co-writing the screenplay for Moxie, Amy Poehler's 2021 Netflix film, alongside Tamara Chestna.
Meyer has also appeared in a number of short films, including The Death, Return of Superman, Wrestling Isn't Wrestling, and Jem Reacts to the New Jem and the Holograms Trailer.
She also starred alongside Stewart in an episode of Homemade. In May 2023, she joined the Writers Guild of America strike and took to Instagram to share her support, writing: 'You may not know this, but we (the writers) have struck because 'The Man' is trying to get us down. Without writers, your movies and tv shows will suck. Trust. Our fight for fair wages is so important we've been forced to walk around and wave signs about it - and we need your support! If you love stories, tell the studios to value the storytellers! (sic).'
Stewart and Meyer first crossed paths in 2013 while working on a film set, but their romantic relationship didn't blossom until six years later. During a November 2019 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Stewart reflected on their unexpected reunion through a mutual friend.
She shared, 'I met her years ago on a movie and I hadn't seen her in six years, and then she rocked up at a friend's birthday party, and I was like, 'Where have you been, and how have I not known you?' She's been living in LA alongside my life somehow, but not ever converging.'
Stewart also spoke about their similar upbringings, saying, 'We're both from LA and we really love LA. We both felt like trolls as kids. We're like so similar but different. She's a writer. She's brilliant.'

British Actor Terence Stamp, Who Played General Zod In Early Superman Films, Dies At 87
London: Terence Stamp, the British actor who often played the role of a complex villain, including that of General Zod in the early Superman films, has died. He was 87. His death on Sunday was disclosed in a death notice published online. The London-born Stamp started his film career with 1962's seafaring "Billy Budd," for which he earned an Oscar nomination. Stamp's six decades in the business were peppered with highlights, including his touching portrayal of the transsexual Bernadette in 1994's "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert." Stamp was also widely praised for his lead in director Steven Soderbergh's 1999 crime drama "The Limey." But it will be his portrayal of the bearded Zod in 1978's "Superman" and its sequel "Superman II" two years later, that most people associate with Stamp. As the Kryptonian arch enemy to Christopher Reeve's Man of Steel, Stamp introduced a darker and charming - more human - element to the franchise, one that's been replicated in countless superhero movies ever since. Stamp started out his film career in the early 1960s as part of the "angry young men" movement that was introducing an element of social realism into British moviemaking. That was perhaps most notable in the 1965 adaptation of John Fowles' creepy debut novel "The Collector," where he played the awkward and lonely Freddie Clegg, who kidnapped Samantha Eggar's Miranda Grey in a warped attempt to win her love. Netflix may be staring at a huge problem, and it is China. Chinese streaming giants are reportedly quickly gaining ground on their American rivals in the booming Southeast Asian market. According to a report in Nikkei Asia, companies like iQiyi and Tencent are making major plays, shifting their focus to producing original content tailored for local audiences. Referred to as " China's Netflix ," iQiyi, a subsidiary of Baidu, has been expanding across Southeast Asia since 2019, with a strong presence in Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. The company has attracted 36 million monthly subscribers in the region by offering a mix of free ad-supported viewing and affordable subscription fees. In Thailand, iQiyi's library features over 9,000 titles, with more than 60% being Chinese productions. iQiyi hosts a plethora of content from Chinese period dramas to blockbuster Hollywood films. Moving forward, iQiyi is investing heavily in local content, says the report. The company plans to spend up to 1.54 million dollars ($1.54 million) per production and release four to six Thai titles annually, specifically targeting popular genres like "boys' love" and "girls' love" dramas.
