Auburn Regional: Four Tigers named to All-Regional team Terrell hit .727 during the Auburn Regional with eight RBI.
Auburn baseball swept the competition at the Auburn Regional over the weekend, with the dagger being an 11-1 thrashing of the NC State Wolfpack on Sunday night.
Offense was a vital part of Auburn's success over the weekend as the Tigers outscored Central Connecticut, Stetson, and NC State, 28-11 over the three-day event. Auburn head coach Butch Thompson received steady production from his usual sluggers, but it was a true freshman that played the biggest role in Auburn's regional success.
Bub Terrell was named the MVP of the Auburn Regional on Sunday night at the conclusion of the Tigers' win over NC State after posting monumental numbers at the plate. In three games, Terrell hit .727 (8-for-11) with six RBI and three doubles. In Auburn's regional-clinching victory over NC State, Terrell went 4-for-5 with two RBI and a double, which followed his performance from the previous two games where he recorded two hits and three RBI in each game.
Joining Terrell on the All-Regional team are Cooper McMurray, Ike Irish, and Carson Myers. McMurray finished with four hits on the weekend, but his Saturday performance at the plate is what earned him a place at the table. The senior from Tulsa, Oklahoma was responsible for three of Auburn's eight doubles in the Tigers' 8-5 win over Stetson, with his 3rd-inning double pushing Auburn ahead, 4-0.
Irish remained consistent at the plate by hitting .500 (7-for-14) with two home runs and five RBI. His first home run of the weekend came at a crucial time with Auburn up, 7-5, in the 9th inning. Stetson threatened Auburn's lead by scoring two runs in the 7th inning, and stranding a runner in scoring position in the 8th. However, Irish's solo blast to center field killed the Hatters' momentum and sealed Auburn's victory.
The final Auburn representative is pitcher Carson Myers, who saved the Tigers from a potential upset in Friday's game with Central Connecticut. The Blue Devils chased Auburn starter Cam Tilly after one full inning after scoring three runs on five hits, and were quickly extingushed by Myers, who struck out nine batters while allowing one run over the next six innings, which created space for Auburn's offense to create seperation from the upset-minded Blue Devils.
Here is a look at the All-Regional team.

Nebraska hosted 7 on 7 tournament praised by players and coaches

Nebraska hosted 7 on 7 tournament praised by players and coaches Nebraska Football hosted the Battle of the Boneyard 7 on 7 tournament on Friday, and it is proving to be a success. Multiple 7 on 7 coaches have confirmed that other events have already reached out to learn how Nebraska is running the weekend. This was reported by Tim Verghese on Friday. Verghese also noted that this is the first-ever sponsored brand tournament on the Nebraska campus. The tournament itself was sponsored by Adidas. Class of 2027 Nebraska football quarterback commit Trae Taylor elected to be part of this, playing on the Miami Raw team. He had a productive day on Friday and was able to connect with fellow 2027 recruit Ahmad Hudson for multiple touchdowns. Hudson is the top tight end in the 2027 class per Rivals rankings. Several prominent figures in the NFL circle showed up as well. Former Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton came to Lincoln, as his 7 on 7 team, C1N was present. Former Nebraska football running back Ameer Abdullah also made an appearance on Friday. All in all, this appears to be another successful venture organized by the football program and athletic department. There should be a ton of news to come out of this weekend. 2026 4-star Edge and Texas A&M commit is visiting Washington

2026 4-star Edge and Texas A&M commit is visiting Washington Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class is on track to see a significant boost this summer, especially this weekend, as coach Mike Elko and his staff are currently hosting 18 prospects from the 2026 class, including six commits, led by four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory. However, five-star wide receiver and LSU commit Tristen Keys is also on campus. After hiring former Miami Recruiting Director and assistant WR coach David Cooney, the Aggies have a very good chance to flip the elite pass catcher soon. However, according to Rivals recruiting insider Adam Gorney, four-star edge Texas A&M commit Samu Moala could be the Aggies' first realistic flip candidate, as the California product will reportedly visit Washington this weekend. The Huskies, like Oregon, focus on California for the bulk of the program's recruiting and have done a solid job this offseason of hosting several elite 2026 prospects. However, after committing in late October of last year, Texas A&M will be the final team to host Moala on June 20, meaning the Aggies are still in the driver's seat to keep him committed ahead of Early Signing Day in early December. On the field, there's a reason Moala is highly sought after, as he has improved every season, recording 52 tackles, three sacks, two tackles for loss, an interception, and nine hurries during his 2024 junior season. On offense, Moala hauled in five receptions for 86 yards and one touchdown. According to 247Sports, Moala is currently positioned as the 27th-ranked Edge and 26th-ranked prospect in California.
