Adult Film Star, 28, Dies Amid Freak Accident on Set
The 28-year-old adult content creator is said to have fallen to her death from a hotel balcony in the Brazilian city of Nova Iguaçu, with the Civil Police of the State of Rio de Janeiro confirming the incident to Brazilian publication Quem.
Alves was reportedly found deceased in a ground-floor courtyard at the Mont Blanc Apart Hotel on Jan. 23, having apparently fallen from the balcony where she was allegedly filming a scene with two men.
At this time, it's unknown if she fell or was pushed, nor whether drugs or alcohol may have played a part. As translated from Portugues, law enforcement officials confirmed to the publication that an "investigation is underway at the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Division (DHBF). Those involved and witnesses are giving statements and agents are carrying out other investigations to determine the circumstances of the death."
The men accompanying Alves have reportedly given police conflicting statements about the tragedy, and investigators are reviewing footage, Alves' phone, and interviewing hotel employees to determine what happened.
In a screenshot from Alves' boyfriend Pedro Henrique's social media reposted by the publication, he revealed that she was buried on Jan. 25.
"It's been so hard without you, the hours go by, the penny drops and the hole in my heart just gets bigger, love," he wrote.
"If someone is to blame, they will pay," he told the publication.

Model spends almost $50K on multiple BBL surgeries thanks to ‘botched' jobs: ‘I couldn't sit down'
As the saying goes, 'Beauty is pain,' and this model isn't letting it stop her. Ex-flight attendant Alanna Pow is no stranger to going under the knife — as the 22-year-old will soon spend over $50,000 on several surgeries of the same kind. Pow went under the knife for the popular BBL, Brazilian butt lift surgery, not once but twice so far — and soon will go for a third. The recovery was extremely painful because the first two surgeries weren't done properly, forcing the 22-year-old to lie on her 'front for six weeks because I couldn't sit down.' The model and ex-flight attendant is no stranger to going under the knife — but she never expected to get three of the same surgeries. Jam Press/@alannasworldx 'When I had the first one, I was still a flight attendant and I went back to work quickly, so I had to walk up and down the whole flight. During take-off, I sat on my BBL cushion and the pain was excruciating, the model said, according to Jam Press. 'I also had to wear a compression garment for six weeks underneath my uniform.' Pow flew over 6,400 miles to Turkey last year for her first BBL, which cost her $10,855.99. Then she made the trek back for her second one for the same price — where the surgeon gave her a two-for-one deal and threw in a nose job for free. The unfortunate news is that Pow has no choice but to undergo yet another butt lift surgery, yes, a third one, to correct the first two botched jobs. 'The first doctor in Turkey took way too much fat from my lower thighs and left them looking wavy. I've been insecure about them ever since,' she admitted. Pow flew to Turkey twice for the same surgery. Jam Press/@alannasworldx 'My legs are the only area he really botched, the rest of my body wasn't done badly, but I don't think he did enough lipo overall.' She learned her lesson this time around — instead of going back once again to Turkey, Pow will see an Australian surgeon. It won't come cheap, though — this third booty surgery will cost over $26,000. Pow is a surgery pro at this point and is looking at the glass half full. 'I'm so excited for my third BBL. The first two were just learning lessons for me.' Funny enough, this isn't the first BBL mishap to happen. One woman who traveled to the Caribbean to get butt implants was at the gym when she realized hers had fallen out. '…when I got back from there [the DR], I went to the gym. I was squatting in the gym, and I felt something,' the 29-year-old explained during a sit-down interview with British TV personality Olivia Attwood for her UK show 'Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection.' 'My leg went all tingly, and I felt something come out. My implant was hanging.'

Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima lists $16M home with AI and laser-powered security system
Brazilian supermodel and former Victoria's Secret Angel, Adriana Lima, is parting ways with her Los Angeles estate — a property where the security measures read more like a celebrity protection playbook than a standard home listing. Priced at $15.995 million, the modern Brentwood compound sits behind custom gates and mature hedging on one of the widest lots in the North Bundy flats, with 120 feet of frontage. Lima and her husband, film producer Andre Lemmers III, purchased the 7,400-square-foot property only three years ago for $12.35 million, according to The Wall Street Journal, which first reported on the listing. 12 Adriana Lima's Brentwood home could double as a high-fashion fortress. Tyler Hogan 12 The longtime Victoria's Secret Angel and her hubby are listing the heavily fortified estate for $15.995 million. Tyler Hogan 12 The home is completed with an advanced security setup featuring AI-powered cameras and laser beams encircling the property. Tyler Hogan After purchasing it, the couple outfitted the newly built home with a high-tech AI-powered camera system, automated laser beams and 24/7 armed patrol service. 'The property has AI-powered cameras that instantly recognize unfamiliar faces and can alert a live security team within seconds,' listing agent Paul Salazar of Compass told The Post. The 0.34-acre lot holds a five-bedroom, seven-bath main residence and a one-bedroom, one-bath detached guesthouse — totaling six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The gated drive leads to a two-car garage plus space for four additional vehicles. Outdoor amenities include a resort-style pool, mature landscaping, a fire pit, and an outdoor kitchen — with room to add a sports court. 12 The home's foyer. Tyler Hogan 12 They customized it with high-tech defenses, plus bespoke window treatments, antique Parisian streetlamps, and $100,000 in home theater upgrades. Tyler Hogan 12 The kitchen boasts marble countertops and two islands. Tyler Hogan 12 The formal dining room. Tyler Hogan 12 The home's living space. Tyler Hogan Inside, expansive living areas open seamlessly to the grounds. The main kitchen is anchored by dual islands and outfitted with Miele built-ins — including an espresso station, refrigerator, dual dishwashers and a frameless integrated stovetop. A separate chef's kitchen — ideal for staff or events — features an eight-burner Wolf range, additional refrigeration, and a walk-in pantry. Other features include a climate-controlled wine rack, a private theater upgraded with over $100,000 in equipment — and smart-home integration that controls lighting, climate, sound and security from wall-mounted displays or an app. The primary suite has a private terrace with a fireplace, a walk-in closet with custom cabinetry and island drawers with key-card access for valuables. 12 The expansive family room. Tyler Hogan 12 One of the five bedrooms in the main house. There is also a separate bedroom in the guest house. Tyler Hogan 12 An ensuite walk-in closet. Tyler Hogan Lima and Lemmers said in an email that the decision to sell comes as their professional commitments have shifted east. 12 Lima and her husband, film producer Andre Lemmers III, bought the roughly 7,400-square-foot compound in 2022 for $12.35 million. Ouzounova / 'Too much of our personal time was taken away by being on the other side of the country and longer travels,' they told The Journal in an email. The famous couple shouldn't have a problem selling this stunning name because, according to Salazar, demand in Brentwood remains strong, with 'a ton of families looking for a home' even after the post-fire surge earlier this year. Salazar is co-listing the property with Kyle Amicucci and Drew Fenton of Carolwood Estates.

Peanut the Squirrel's Owners Seek $10M Over Death of 'Irreplaceable' Animal
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The owners of P'Nut the Squirrel and a raccoon named Fred are suing the State of New York for $10 million in damages after the animals were euthanized last year. Mark Longo and Daniela Bittner filed the lawsuit on Thursday in the New York Court of Claims, alleging constitutional violations and wrongful killing of their animals by state officials. The lawsuit names the state, the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), and the Department of Health (DOH) as defendants. Newsweek contacted Longo's Attorney Nora Constance Marino, the DEC, DOH and the State of New York for comment by email. Why It Matters The lawsuit alleges that the seizure and killing of P'Nut and Fred were not only a violation of New York's wildlife laws, but also an infringement of the owners' Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment rights. Whether such laws even apply is debatable—the plaintiffs maintain neither P'Nut nor Fred were "wild animals" under the law, but rather "companion animals." If successful, the case could set precedent for how far state agencies can go in enforcing wildlife regulations, particularly when animals are domesticated and kept in private homes. The incident unfolded just before the 2024 presidential election, sparking widespread online outrage, and even bomb threats against officials. It became a rallying point for critics of government overreach, drawing attention from public figures such as Elon Musk and Joe Rogan. P'Nut the squirrel with Mark Longo. P'Nut the squirrel with Mark Longo. @peanut_the_squirrel12 /Instagram What To Know Longo and Bittner describe P'Nut's personality and abilities as unique and irreplaceable. Fred's personality and abilities, while still developing, were showing signs he too would be unique and irreplaceable—though they intended to release him back into the wild. The animals were both kept inside their home. New York law prohibits keeping squirrels and raccoons as pets because they are classified as wild animals. Many of P'Nut's fans knew about the couple's sanctuary because of his social media presence, and many donated because of his stardom. P'Nut's likeness, antics, and image were used for promotion, endorsements, sponsorships, and marketing by way of plaintiff D&M, including on Cameo and OnlyFans. Fred was beginning to build his own online following. The couple are seeking compensatory and punitive damages, along with legal fees and costs, claiming "severe emotional distress, humiliation, and damage to reputation." According to the lawsuit, a group of DEC and DOH agents, along with other law enforcement officers, arrived at the couple's Pine City property on October 30, 2024, to execute a search warrant. Both animals were seized during the raid and later killed by state officials. DEC officials said that P'Nut bit an agent through thick leather gloves during the raid, prompting both animals to be euthanized and decapitated for rabies testing. The state has since confirmed the tests were negative. The complaint alleges the killings were "not due to a fear of rabies," but were a "senseless act of violence" and "obscene demonstration of government abuse." The plaintiffs claim they were "unlawfully detained without probable cause and subjected to an unreasonable search and seizure," and that "despite having no evidence of criminal activity, Defendants proceeded to arrest Plaintiffs and initiate baseless charges." The suit also alleges that the seizure exceeded the scope of the warrant and that requests for the animals' remains have gone unanswered. "Defendants have engaged in a pattern of conduct that has deprived Plaintiffs of their constitutional rights under the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments," the complaint states. It adds: "The acts and omissions of the Defendants were intentional, malicious, and taken with reckless disregard for the rights of the Plaintiffs." The filing follows an earlier lawsuit in Chemung County Supreme Court targeting local and state officials over the same incident. What People Are Saying Longo told the New York Post: "This is our opportunity to make change and seek justice for P'Nut and Fred." Marino, Longo's attorney, told the newspaper: "I hope justice is done, not just for my clients, but for our civil rights, P'Nut and Fred, and all animals." The October raid and subsequent animal killings drew national attention in the final days before the presidential election. Then Republican vice-presidential nominee JD Vance said at a rally in November: "Don is fired up about P'Nut the squirrel." Donald Trump Jr. said at a rally: "Justice for Peanut! Our government will let in 16,000 rapists, they will let in 13,000 murderers, they will let in 600,000 criminals across our border, but if someone has a pet squirrel without a permit, they will go in there and kill the squirrel." Elon Musk wrote on X: "Government overreach kidnapped an orphan squirrel and executed him." What Happens Next No trial date has been set in either the Court of Claims case, or the related Chemung County action.
