Car driven into group of men fighting with weapons in street violence

An investigation has been launched after a car was used to ram a group of men fighting each other with weapons in Dundee on Tuesday.
Footage of the incident, which took place at around 1.40pm, seen by STV News, appears to show six men and a woman arguing on St Clement Place.
A punch is then thrown and a fist fight ensues. A man then appears from the other side of a parked van wielding a long pole and swinging it at the group.
He is tackled to the ground and punched and kicked by three men. Car tires are heard screeching in the background before a Mini Cooper is driven into one of the men in hi-vis.
The men attack the car with the pole and attempt to punch the driver. A topless male also appears to be wielding a weapon.
The individual struck by the car gets into the nearby van which is then reversed into by the Mini. An individual wearing all black gets into the car before it flees the scene while being harried by assailants.
A 24-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment after the incident.
A burnt-out vehicle was found in the Baldovan Woods area around 4.10pm. Detectives are carrying out enquiries to establish whether it is linked to the disturbance.
Detective inspector Craig Kelly said: 'This type of violence has no place on our streets and we are following positive lines of enquiry to identify and arrest those responsible.
'There will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.
'We are aware of videos circulating on social media and would ask anyone with information, footage, or who witnessed the incident, to please contact police.

A man was found with a gunshot wound in a pool of blood on the side of the road following a crash in an allegedly stolen car. The 38-year-old was allegedly shot before crashing the Volkswagen T-Cross into a pole on Raleigh's Road in Melton, west Melbourne, at 9am on Sunday. Residents rushed out of their homes after hearing the man screaming for help. The man, wearing a grey tracksuit and jumper, was found lying on the side of the road with a gunshot wound to his left leg. 'So I was in my bed, and all of a sudden I hear a loud bang around 9am,' one neighbour told 7News. 'It's pretty scary that this was all happening in Melton, we're all locals here and it's pretty scary that they're in the same area as us.' Emergency services were called and paramedics treated him at the scene. He was rushed to Royal Melbourne Hospital with non-life threatening injuries where he remains in a stable condition. Victoria Police allege the car had been stolen. A shotgun was located outside a home just metres away before it was seized by cops. A man was arrested in the vicinity of Wolfe Road and is currently assisting police with their enquiries. Police have arrested two men following a crash on the A465 westbound between Rhymney and Dowlais in the early hours of Saturday A 20-year-old man, from Brynmawr, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene after a quadbike was found overturned on the A465 westbound carriageway, between Rhymney and Dowlais at around 4.50am on Saturday 31 May. His family has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. Investigating officers believe that a second vehicle – a white BMW that was found burnt out in the Dowlais area – may have been involved in the collision. A 40-year-old man from Merthyr is currently in custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder and driving whilst unfit through drink and driving whilst unfit through drugs. A second man, a 37-year-old from Merthyr, was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and assisting an offender and remains in police custody at this time.
