'Dexter: Resurrection' Unveils Teaser and Release Date

We finally know exactly when to expect Michael C. Hall back as his signature character, the serial killer Dexter Morgan. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, "Dexter: Resurrection" will premiere with the streaming and on-demand release of two episodes on Paramount+ with Showtime on Friday, July 11. The episodes will air on Sunday, July 13 at 8 pm. The remaining episodes will come out weekly.

The official logline of "Dexter Resurrection" reads, "Weeks after Dexter Morgan (Hall) takes a bullet to the chest from his own son, he awakens from a coma to find Harrison (Jack Alcott) gone without a trace. Realizing the weight of what he put his son through, Dexter sets out for New York City, determined to find him and make things right.
But closure won't come easily. When Miami Metro's Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him fast. As father and son navigate their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined — and that the only way out is together."
"Dexter: New Blood" was released in 2021 and ends with Dexter's son, Harrison, shooting his father. In the prequel series "Dexter: Original Sin", which premiered late last year, a flash-forward reveals that Dexter is resuscitated before he can go to where the killer has sent so many of his victims. Michael C. Hall then narrates "Original Sin" while Patrick Gibson plays Dexter's younger self.
What's still left to be figured out is exactly how Dexter Morgan is walking around New York City free in "Resurrection". The killer is wanted by the police by the end of "Dexter: New Blood". The writers will have to work some magic to make it believable that Dexter can make it all the way from Iron Lake to New York City without getting some cuffs slapped on him.
"Dexter: Resurrection" premieres July 11. The show stars Michael C. Hall, David Zayas, Jack Alcott, James Remar, Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage, Ntare Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, and Emilia Suárez. Guest stars announced for the season include Neil Patrick Harris, David Dastmalchian, and Eric Stonestreet.

‘Couples Therapy' Renewed for Season 5 Following 30% Surge in Viewership
'Couples Therapy' has been renewed for Season 5 by Paramount+ with Showtime, TheWrap has exclusively learned. This decision comes after the documentary series saw a significant boost during its fourth season. The premiere episode for the second half of Season 4 delivered a 30% increase on cross-platform viewership compared to the premiere for the prior season. 'Couples Therapy' scored its renewal as the series is in the middle of airing its fourth season, which returned on May 23. All episodes are currently available to watch on Paramount+ with Showtime with new episodes premiering on Fridays. 'Couples Therapy' first premiered in 2019 and follows the work of Dr. Orna Guralnik. Each season jumps between three or four different couples as they participate in a 20-week therapy program. Not all parts of these sessions are shown, but the point of the series is to chronicle the deep and often messy work that therapy requires rather than presenting audiences with another overly dramatized or sanitized version of therapy. With cameras hidden behind a one-way mirror, the series gives viewers an intimate look into these couples' conflicts and their personal breakthroughs. The documentary series has long been a critical darling. In 2021, 'Couples Therapy' won the Television Critics Association (TCA) Award for Outstanding Achievement in Reality Programming, and in 2024, it won the American Cinema Editors (ACE) Award for Best Edited Non-Scripted Series. Ryan Coogler Confirms Denzel Washington Has a Part in 'Black Panther 3'

I've been talking to him about this for a long time." Coogler's confirmation that he's written a part for Washington shouldn't be too much of a surprise. Back in March, Coogler said "Yeah, I've been dying to work with Denzel, man, and I'm hoping we can make that happen." "I have every intention of working with him in ['Black Panther 3']. As long as he itches to do it, it's gonna happen. You know, he's a living legend and a great mentor for so many of us. He's all about looking out for us now." As far as who exactly Denzel Washington would play in "Black Panther 3", Coogler is keeping that to himself. That hasn't stopped fans from speculating, of course, with some even guessing his character might be from another part of Marvel's multiverse and could be a variant of T'Challa's father T'Chaka, or perhaps even T'Challa himself. One popular fan-casting is the villain Achebe, who was created as a kind of eccentric mix between Kaiser Soze of "The Usual Suspects" fame and the Joker. Not possessed of any special abilities, Achebe instead manipulates his ways into political power in Wakanda. Very little is known about "Black Panther 3" including whether or not it has a firm release date. Letitia Wright is expected to reprise the role of Shuri for the film, potentially appearing alongside Denzel Washington.
