The refreshed CBS product portfolio features four key offerings:
Grundfos NK/NKE: A new series of NK long-coupled end-suction pumps offers improved efficiency, robust hydraulic design, and a long lasting build. The NKE pump variant offers smart integrated IE5 high efficiency motors, built-in differential pressure sensors, and intelligent controls, facilitating seamless integration into building management systems. Grundfos TPE3: An advanced in-line pump with built-in differential pressure sensors is now available upto 22kw delivering IE5 level of efficiency in accordance with IEC 60034-30-2. Through range of multiple control modes and the Grundfos GO remote app, it adjusts the flow automatically, offering up to 25% energy savings compared to conventional offerings. Around 27 Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) and senior executives of 27 leading national and international companies participated in the event. Addressing the gathering on Thursday, Khandhar said, 'In just the past year, the Gujarat government has implemented over five key policies to promote innovation, investment, and institutional development.' She also underlined Gujarat's strengths, including 'a robust legal-administrative framework and gender-inclusive business environment, making it one of the most trusted and investment-friendly destinations in India'. Opening the discussion, Mr Avasar Vipathi, CEO of HSBC and Head of GIFT City Branch, reiterated HSBC's commitment to supporting investment and innovation in Gujarat. Avantha Vamshra, Managing Director and Head of Markets and Securities Services, HSBC India, praised the state's fast-paced development and emphasised the crucial role GCCs could play in the next growth phase. She noted that Gujarat's ecosystem offers structural support for Research & Development (R&D), talent development, and sustainable expansion. During the session, officials from GIFT City and the DST gave detailed presentations on the government's key industry incentives and the policy framework supporting GCC growth. Industry participants expressed enthusiasm about expanding their operations in Gujarat and praised the 'clarity and pro-investor approach' of the GCC policy. Many remarked that the CaPEX (Capital Expenditure) and OpEX (Operational Expenditure) support offered would significantly aid long-term organisational planning and scalability. China says quiet part out loud: Beijing tells EU it can't afford Russia losing war against Ukraine; wants US distracted

(AP) Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi told the European Union's top diplomat that Beijing cannot accept Russia losing its war against Ukraine. According to a report by the South China Morning Post, Wang said such an outcome could allow the United States to fully shift its focus to China. This private remark goes against China's public stance of neutrality in the conflict. Sources were quoted as saying by the newspaper that Wang made the comments during a four-hour meeting with EU foreign affairs chief Kaja Kallas in Brussels on Wednesday. European officials were reportedly surprised when Wang said Russia's invasion of Ukraine has been a blessing for China. According to the report, Wang's comments suggested that China might prefer a prolonged war in Ukraine because it keeps the United States occupied and away from the Pacific region. This aligns with the views of those who believe China has a larger geopolitical interest in the Ukraine conflict than it has publicly stated. At the same time, Wang rejected accusations that China is helping Russia militarily or financially. He said that if China were supporting Russia in that way, the war would have ended long ago. When asked about the report during a regular briefing on Friday, Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said, "China is not a party to the Ukraine issue." She added, as cited by the CNN, "China's position on the Ukraine crisis is objective and consistent, that is, negotiation, ceasefire and peace. A prolonged Ukraine crisis serves no one's interests." Mao also said, "Together with the international community and in light of the will of the parties concerned, we will continue playing a constructive role towards this end." Although China has stated that it is neutral on the Ukraine war, its ties with Russia have grown since the conflict began. Weeks before the full-scale invasion in 2022, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "no limits" partnership. Since then, political and economic cooperation between the two countries has increased. One interpretation of Wang's reported comments is that although China did not seek the war, its continuation could align with Beijing's strategic goals, especially if it keeps the US focused on Ukraine. Meanwhile, China has also denied growing claims that it is providing near-military support to Russia in the ongoing war in Ukraine. However, Ukraine has imposed sanctions on several Chinese companies, accusing them of supplying drone components and technology used in Russian missile production. Following a large-scale Russian drone attack on Kyiv on Friday, Ukraine's deputy foreign minister Andrii Sybiha shared images of what he said were debris from a Geran-2 combat drone launched by Russian forces. One photo showed part of the drone's fuselage marked with a note stating it was made in China on June 20. Sybiha also said that the same night, a Russian strike caused minor damage to the building housing the Chinese Consulate General in Odesa. In a post on X, he said, "Chinese Consulate General's building in Odesa suffered minor damage as a result of Russian strikes on the city. There is no better metaphor for how Putin continues to escalate his war and terror while involving others, including North Korean troops, Iranian weapons, and some Chinese manufacturers. Security in Europe, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific is inextricably linked." Earlier this year, there were also reports that Chinese citizens had fought alongside Russian forces in Ukraine. Beijing denied the allegations and reiterated its position that Chinese nationals should avoid involvement in any military activity by any side.

B2 bombers roars over White House; Donald Trump and Melania Trump celebrate U.S. Independence Day
U.S. President Donald Trump signed his flagship tax and spending Bill into law on Friday (July 4,2025), capping a grandiose White House Independence Day ceremony featuring a stealth bomber fly-by. Mr. Trump also played down criticism by Democrats that the unpopular legislation will slash social welfare programs, saying: 'You won't even notice it.' With First Lady Melania Trump at his side, Mr. Trump watched from the White House balcony as two B-2 bombers — the same type that recently struck Iranian nuclear sites — roared overhead, accompanied by F-35 and F-22 fighter jets. The 79-year-old's victory lap came a day after Republicans fell into line and passed the sprawling mega-Bill, allowing him to sign it as he had hoped on the Fourth of July holiday. The Bill honours many of Mr. Trump's campaign promises: extending tax cuts from his first term, boosting military spending and providing massive new funding for Mr. Trump's migrant deportation drive. 'Never been anything like it' The legislation's signing caps two weeks of significant wins for Mr. Trump that have seen him tighten his grip on power and his party alike. The successes include the recent Iran-Israel ceasefire that was sealed after what he called the 'flawless' U.S. air strikes on Iran. Pilots who carried out the bombing on Iran were among those invited to the White House event, which included a picnic for military families on the South Lawn. 'The last two weeks, there has never been anything like it, as far as winning,' said Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump had however forced through the tax Bill despite deep misgivings in the Republican Party that it would balloon the national debt. The legislation is expected to pile an extra $3.4 trillion over a decade onto the U.S. deficit. It squeezed past a final vote in the House of Representatives 218-214 after Republican Speaker Mike Johnson worked through the night to corral the final group of dissenters. Mr. Trump thanked Johnson at the White House event, saying: 'What a job.' 'Horrible day' Mr. Trump's billionaire former ally Elon Musk was among the most vocal critics, and he has pledged to set up a new political party to oppose Republicans who backed the Bill. Democrats and many voters have meanwhile expressed concerns that the 'big beautiful Bill' will gut health and welfare support. The Bill will force through the largest cuts to the Medicaid health insurance program for low-income Americans since its 1960s launch, while also shrinking federal food assistance programs. Up to 17 million people could lose their insurance coverage under the Bill, according to some estimates. Scores of rural hospitals are expected to close as a result. But Mr. Trump played down the concerns. 'They've developed a standard line, and we can't let them get away with it. 'Oh, it's dangerous. Oh, everybody's going to die.' It's actually just the opposite,' said Mr. Trump. Democrats hope public opposition to the Bill will help them flip the House in the 2026 midterm election, pointing to data showing that it represents a huge redistribution of wealth from the poorest Americans to the richest. People attending the Fourth of July parade in Washington on Saturday had mixed feelings. 'Yesterday was a horrible day, today is the best part of America,' said Elisabeth Hubir, 70.
