Did Vijay Deverakonda turn down the antagonist role opposite Ranveer Singh in Farhan Akhtar's 'Don 3'?
'Don 3' is one of the iconic action-thriller franchises that is currently in the works. The
Farhan Akhtar
directorial, which marks the third instalment in the rebooted 'Don' universe, will feature
Ranveer Singh
stepping into the shoes of the legendary character, with
Kriti Sanon
as the female lead.
While the film is in pre-production, rumours circulated online that actor
Vijay Deverakonda
had been roped in to play the primary antagonist. The reports suggested that he would be replacing Vikrant Massey, who was earlier linked to the role. Fans were quick to jump on the idea, with many imagining an electrifying showdown between Ranveer and Vijay in Akhtar's stylised action world.
Fan frenzy over Vijay's possible
Bollywood
comeback
Vijay marked his entry in Bollywood with 'Liger' alongside Ananya Pandey, which received very low reception at the box office.
The possibility of Vijay making his major Bollywood comeback through a negative role in such a celebrated franchise led to fan frenzy on social media.
However, a recent report from Gulte mentioned that while Deverakonda was indeed approached for the antagonist's role, he has politely turned down the offer. The actor is currently focused on his upcoming Telugu projects and is being extremely selective with his Bollywood scripts.

Recent reports suggest that Farhan is scouting international locations, including London, to shoot the film's high-octane sequences. 'Don 3' is expected to go on floors in January 2026.
On the work front, Vijay is currently busy with the release of his upcoming spy action thriller, 'Kingdom'. The movie, after a couple of delays, is scheduled to hit the screens on 31 July. Directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, it stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead.

But in this image, there's not just one, there are 11 cats cleverly hidden all around her. That's right, 11 furry friends are scattered in and around the room, some in plain sight, while others are sneakily blended into the background.
