This history of favouring spinners could tempt both sides to include extra spin options. Australia are forced into at least one change, with Mitchell Owen ruled out due to concussion. Josh Inglis (flu) and Nathan Ellis (rested) are expected to return, while all-rounder Aaron Hardie could slot in at number seven, potentially allowing for a two-spinner combination alongside Zampa.
If that happens, it could mean one of Josh Hazlewood, Sean Abbott, or Ben Dwarshuis misses out, especially with an ODI series approaching. South Africa, meanwhile, must decide whether to maintain the pace-heavy attack that secured victory in the second T20I in Darwin or bring back a left-arm spinner like George Linde or Senuran Muthusamy.

India won all nine league matches and the semifinal against New Zealand in Mumbai on November 15, 2023, to book a place in the summit clash, but in the title decider, they went down by six wickets against the Pat Cummins-led Australian team. In the 2023 ODI World Cup, Rohit scored a total of 597 runs to finish as the second-highest run getter. His batting average in the 2023 World Cup was 54.27, and he scored runs with a strike rate of 125.94. In the 2019 ODI World Cup, Rohit, with the help of five centuries and one fifty, scored 648 runs. But India failed to qualify for the final under Virat Kohli's leadership. West Indies women cricketers undergo two-week training camp at CSK Academy
Chennai, Aug 18 (PTI) Fifteen of the most promising West Indian women cricketers, under head coach Merissa Aguilleira, have assembled at the Chennai Super Kings Academy here for a specialised training camp as part of Cricket West Indies' (CWI) ongoing India development programme. Apart from Aguilleira, the squad is accompanied by assistant coaches Ryan Hinds and Tremayne Smartt and team manager Yasmine St Ange. The contingent left Barbados for India on August 12 for the two-week programme, which runs from August 13 to 30. During this period, the players will feature in a series of practice matches and skill-specific sessions aimed at improving their performance against spin in overseas conditions, with a focus on technical refinement, mental conditioning and cultural adaptation. The players will also work with the same world-class coaching staff that oversaw the men's training camp last December, including Academy Director Sriram Krishnamurthy and his team of specialists, while benefitting from Chennai's renowned facilities. 'Following the tremendous success of our male players' training camp in December, we are proud to now extend this opportunity to our most promising female cricketers," Director of Cricket, Miles Bascombe said in a release. 'The Super Kings Academy in Chennai offers a world-class training environment that allows our players to experience cricket in a different part of the world." The 15-member group includes senior internationals Ashmini Munisar, Zaida James, Djenaba Joseph, Jahzara Claxton, Jannillea Glasgow, Realeanna Grimmond, Trishan Holder, Mandy Mangru and Nerissa Crafton.
