Pump Up the Healthy Love – K-drama Episode 6 Recap & Review
Episode 6
Episode 6 of Pump Up the Healthy Love begins with Mi-ran running on the treadmill, unable to stop thinking about Joon-seok's deleted message. She ends up pushing it too far and the machine breaks. This puts the staff in a pickle because they don't have the money to buy a new treadmill.
They decide to get their members to sign up for personal training with Hyeon-joong in order to make more money. He even puts a sign up offering 30% discount but nobody signs up. Mi-ran even tries to convince the three gym ladies to sign up. It works as one of them, Seong-im, does sign up for the personal training.
Mi-ran and Hyeon-joong high five and he points out that she has calluses on her hand — a mark of people who exercise. He even gives her hand cream. Mi-ran goes home in a great mood but she finds her sister in tears. Apparently, Kang Dan broke up with her saying he was too happy and that was interfering with his ability to write songs. Mi-ran resolves to help her move on.
Seong-im starts her training with Hyeon-joong and she seems very enthusiastic about. Almost too enthusiastic, as she begins to constantly pepper him with questions and requests for advice. She wants to get the most of the 24-hour gym.
At work, Mi-ran learns that her show about Hawaii was a hit. Ye-jin surprises Mi-ran by telling her that it was Joon-seok who recommended Mi-ran for the Hawaii live show.
After work, Mi-ran takes Ji-ran to the gym. Hyeon-joong recognises Ji-ran from the photobooth incident and tries to hide his identity. In order to impress her sister, Mi-ran ends up overdoing it at the gym. Hyeon-joong helps Mi-ran cover up when she uses a machine she hasn't used before.
At one point, Seong-im begins dusting the place and ends up breaking Hyeon-joong's trophy in his office. To top this off, Hyeon-joong realises he's losing muscle because Seong-im doesn't let him work out at all.
Seong-im takes Hyeon-joong out for a meal the next day. He tells her he has something to say to her but Seong-im then sees her husband with another woman. She asks Hyeon-joong to hide her and he obliges. She later explains that she doesn't want a divorce for the sake of her daughter, even though her husband takes her for granted. But she hates being home which is why she spends so much time at the gym and enjoys the concern Hyeon-joong shows her.
Later, while working out, Hyeon-joong muses on the difficulty of the situation. Back home, Ji-ran tells Mi-ran that the workout helped her not think about Kang Dan. In the morning, Mi-ran tells Hyeon-joong how exercise helped her spirit become stronger as well.
Hyeon-joong then shows Seong-im a particular exercise to help her learn how to relax her shoulders and let go. Seong-im understands what he's saying about letting go and tells Hyeon-joong it's hard to let go of family members.
However, as the three ladies head for a bite outside the gym, they come across Seong-im's husband and his girlfriend. He shamelessly introduces the woman as his colleague and even tells Seong-im to cook her some food. Seong-im finally loses it. Hyeon-joong gives her the resistance band which she uses to smack her husband in the face.
Even Mi-ran helps trip the man over and after he scurries off, the whole gym team goes out for drinks. On the way home, Mi-ran and Ji-ran are helping a garbage picker when Mi-ran sees Joon-seok walking towards them. She hides and then asks Ji-ran to ask Joon-seok about the text messages.
Ji-ran realises that Mi-ran hasn't actually been able to let go of Joon-seok and calls Kang Dan, begging him to come back. Mi-ran is also upset, even more so when she realises one of her calluses has fallen off. She goes to the gym and cries to Hyeon-joong about it.
An epilogue of Pump Up the Healthy Love Episode 6 shows Joon-seok looking at Mi-ran crying in the street when he gets caught by Seong-im, who thinks he's a pervert.
The Episode Review
Pump Up the Healthy Love Episode 6 is quite wholesome! Seong-im's personal training storyline starts out as a humorous gimmick but then gives us a chance to get to know her better. It's definitely nice to see the story dive into side characters like Seong-im, who are always around in the background of Mi-ran and Hyeon-joong's stories. The whole thing is executed quite well, although Seong-im's husband gets his comeuppance quicker than expected.
It's also balanced out nicely with Mi-ran's story, which is super relatable for anyone who has been through a hard breakup and wanted to appear stronger than they really were. Through her gym antics, the episode actually brings out poignant themes about letting go and how hard it really is. Hyeon-joong's closing voiceover is a nice way to end the episode as well. All in all, the drama continues to have a lot of heart!

K-pop sensation BTS celebrates return of bandmates after military duties paused music career
Ecstatic K-pop fans have celebrated the news that BTS is one step closer to getting back together after two of its band members finished their duties in the army. RM, 30, and V, 29, began serving in December 2023 - and were discharged from mandatory military service in South Korea on June 10. The seven-member boy band temporarily disbanded in 2022, to allow each of its members to enlist. In South Korea men ages 18 to 28 must serve two years in the nation's armed forces. The country's parliament passed a bill in 2020 allowing the group to defer their service until the age of 30. The duo emerged Tuesday in Chuncheon, South Korea to about 200 fans - many of whom traveled from all over the world for the jubilant moment. Fans, who were stationed on a soccer field, held up signs and photos of the singers, taking pictures and videos as RM and V saluted their fans. RM even serenaded the onlookers with a saxophone solo. Two more of the group's seven members had already completed service. The remaining three wrap up soon. V told fans they'd only have to wait a little longer for the men to re-emerge as a unit. 'Performing is what I want to do the most,' RM told the waiting crowd. Since their hiatus, both RM and V released solo projects. RM came out with 'Indigo' in 2022 and 'Right Place, Wrong Person' in 2024. V's 'Layover' came out in 2023. The BTS 'army'- as they lovingly call their fans - is anxious for the group's reunion. Jimin and Jung Kook are set to be released from their military duties on June 11. Suga, who chose alternative service, will return June 21. Jin, the oldest member, was discharged last year. J-Hope was released in October. Representatives for the group confirmed that they have plans to reunite later in 2025, after all seven members are relinquished from their duties. Fans could not be more excited. Those that couldn't make it all the way to Asia for RM and V's resurgence, chimed in on social media, expressing their enthusiastic excitement at the long-awaited return. 'You thinks it's bad with RM and V wait till tomorrow when JK and Jimin get discharged,' wrote one fan on X. 'WE ARE SO BACK' 'Welcome back! I'm so proud of them for serving their country!' 'THEY ARE FINALLY HOME AND FREE' Some fans even documented signage throughout Seoul that read 'BTS is Back,' in celebration of the group's quickly approaching return. BTS hasn't released music together since 'Map of the Soul: 7' in 2020, which they canceled the tour for due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After five years, fans are desperate to see the group live again. And they hope that now, it's just a matter of months.

Good Boy – K-drama Episode 4 Recap & Review
Monkey See, Monkey Do After the tense meeting with Ju-yeong at the office, where Dong-ju punched that window and shattered it, episode 4 of Good Boy begins with the battle lines drawn between these two formidable foes. This broken glass though sees Man-sik reprimand his junior, especially when they get an expensive repair invoice through for 3.3 million won. There's inevitably still bad blood between Jong-hyeon and Dong-ju here, who bicker over the best way of handling the their case (and who's trying to win over Han-na's affection). As a result, the group are split in half to cover more ground. Dong-ju gets jealous when Han-na is paired with Jong-hyeon though so he decides to jump in her place instead. They don't get far in their search, mostly due to the pair clashing, but Jong-hyeon continues searching into the night, checking over the CCTV cameras in the area and noticing a lot of cigarette butts on the ground. Han-na and Jae-hong track down the slippery Oh Jong-gu, the man who was given the bloodied watch by Ju-yeong last episode. They ask outright whether he's involved in Gyeong-il's death but he keeps a cool head and doesn't slip. On the way back, Han-na is picked up by Hwang Kyung-chul, who has some info for her. He brings up how, back in 2008, a Russian mafia member was shot dead and her father was in charge of the crime scene. He has files for her about the whole endeavour, and hands them over for her here. Now, the suspected cause of death for her father stems from a gunshot to the head, suspected to be a mafia member, but it was closed as unsolved, despite the obvious links. Man-sik does his own digging into the watch with the pawnshop and this links to Gwang-se, a man sporting a bald eagle tattoo. He used to be well-known for smuggling cars and has ties to the Golden Bunny gang as well. He eventually reveals that there's someone called Monkey, who's the best in the country at smuggling cars. There's a guy at Insung Customs that covers for him too, which directly links in to Ju-yeong. Monkey still has the car, and the team need to tread carefully here. If they talk too loud or make it known at the station what they're doing, Ju-yeong could very easily hide everything before they bust the operation. As a result, the group decide to use a bait car to lure Monkey in. Unfortunately, the one he's likely to go for is the Commissioner's. With Gwang-se's help, they manage to get the car and the plan is set to go ahead. On the way, Dong-ju and Han-na end up in a rather compromising position during their stake-out but it doesn't take long for them to re-join the others, much to Jong-hyun's annoyance. The operation goes ahead, and they race into the warehouse. Unfortunately the team are undermined by Dae-yong and his group, who sweep in and try to take all the credit for busting Monkey and his smuggling gig. Despite a big skirmish, Monkey manages to get away. However, he's found by the side of the road not long after, having been stabbed in the neck with a screw-like knife from the perp. It seems to indicate that this guy is a professional killer and covering his tracks. Forensics also uncover cigarette butts, not dissimilar to the ones found on the dock with the CCTV cameras, but it leaves them at another dead-end. Meanwhile, Man-sik also has the unenviable task of facing the Commissioner's wrath, especially when he finds out about the trashed car. Despite all of this though, the operation exposes the scam, and a fair few goons are arrested. Naturally, Commissioner Cho takes all the credit for this! Jong-hyyun theorizes with the group afterwards that this entire ordeal is connected to both the Russian mafia and a drug operation run by an armed Filipino group. Unfortunately, they didn't find Ju-yeong's car at the warehouse. However, they do realize that Monkey needed an insider to fudge the paperwork, explaining why Lee Jin-su was killed. He came across Ju-yeong's scheme and was killed for it. All the documents he uncovered were also burned too, which we saw earlier on with Ju-yeong . Ju-yeong is pissed and he takes his anger out on the Section Chief when he confronts him in the bathroom. Time is very much of the essence here, and in order to find the goods, the group head to the dock and look through the shipping containers one by one. They only have until 7pm to find the car though and while Dong-ju confronts Ju-yeong as a way of giving the team some time, they actually track down the car. A chase inevitably ensues, and the team work together to catch Ju-yeong at the intersection as he twists and turns his way through the streets. Han-na stands right in the middle of the road to try and stop him. Ju-young sees this and decides to stop him before he hits her, jumping off the roof and slamming into the windshield. Ju-yeong is captured, and very likely going to miss his flight, but Dong=ju has at least stopped him for the time being. The Episode Review So Good Boy returns with another good episode, tis time tightening the screw around capturing Ju-young, all whilst building the team comradeship. The show has done well to make each of the team members unique in their own way, and the previous episodes have, of course, dived into their backstories to explain why they're part of this group. This works well to give them all a unique reason for being here, along with their ties to the Olympic games, and this chapter enhances that by having the group split up on their individual investigations. I'd still like to see a bit more of Jae-hong though, who feels like he's a bit of an oddball, but the investigation into Ju-Yeong and his ties to Gyeong-il's death have certainly been intriguing and overshadow any blemishes with this one. Now that we know there are ties to both the Russian mafia and the Filipino gangs, it raises the stakes dramatically. We do get confirmation here though that the Section Chief isn't involved but I have a feeling there could be another official aligned with Ju-yeong to make things run a bit smoother with this operation. It's clear Ju-yeong is not going to be detained for long though, and it sets everything up for a dramatic double bill to come next week. Has Tastefully Yours been renewed for Season 2? Here's what we know:
Renewed Or Cancelled? Tastefully Yours is the latest quirky K-drama, boasting compelling characters and a really compelling story. This one has been quite the rollercoaster over the past weeks and has certainly resonated with its audience. If you've been following this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Well, wonder no more. Here's what we know about a renewal: What is Tastefully Yours about? Tastefully Yours tells the story of Han Beom-u, the successor of a large food company, who runs the best fine dining restaurant in Seoul. However, he but has no interest in 'taste'. His counterpart happens to be Mo Yeon-ju, a chef crazy about 'taste' who runs a one-table restaurant without a sign in a remote corner of the countryside. These two grow together and fall in love while running a small restaurant in the city of Miraek, Jeonju! We have ongoing coverage of Tastefully Yours on the site, including recaps for every episode. You can find those HERE! Has Tastefully Yours been renewed for season 2? At the time of writing, ENA and Genie TV have not renewed Tastefully Yours for season 2. Given the ratings over the weeks, it'll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up. ENA do have ratings available to look over here, with the first episode beginning with a respectable 1.6% share and since then it's been growing, with later episodes peaking at about 3%, which is pretty good for a mid-week K-drama. Most k-dramas do wrap up their stories in a single season though, and it's generally very rare – but not impossible – to find these sort of shows renewed. This one doesn't look like it's going to buck the trend and is unlikely to be renewed in the future. We'll be sure to update this section with more details as they become available. What we know about season 2 so far: Barely anything is known about season 2 right now. Given most Korean dramas are reserved to one season, it's rare to find these sort of shows renewed. With the rare exception of ongoing Netflix shows (Love ft. Marriage and Divorce, Hospital Playlist etc.) then it seems unlikely that this one will be renewed. Having said that though, we have seen Taxi Driver and Tale of the Nine Tailed renewed recently, alongside Alchemy of Souls too. Given how steady the ratings are for this series, could we see this one buck the trend? It seems very unlikely that Tastefully Yours will, but you never know! We'll be sure to update this section when we know more. Would you like to see Tastefully Yours return for a second season? Or do you think the story has run its course? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
