The winners were honored with mementoes and awarded prizes, including first, second, and third place in each category, along with special prizes. In total, $10,000 in cash prizes was distributed among the winners. Distinguished guests like Middlesex County Commissioner Shanti Narra, NJ Board of Public Utilities Commissioner Dr. Upendra Chivukula, Jersey City Council candidate Shahab Khan, Jersey City Mayor candidate Mussab Ali, and Edison Council President Nitesh Patel attended and presented awards to the winners. Kolkata, May 17 (UNI) Union minister of state for education Sukanta Majumdar has congratulated Neeraj Chopra for breaking his own record by crossing 90 m mark in Doha Diamond League on Friday night. India's ace javelin thrower Neeraj, however, finished 2nd even though he posted a record mark of his own throwing 90.23 m, a national record. Neeraj breached the 90 m barrier of his 3rd throw in Doha Diamond League as Germany's Julian Weber broke his own by throwing a sensational 91.06 m. "Historic throw by Neeraj Chopra! With a massive 90.23m javelin at the Doha Diamond League, he crosses the 90m mark for the first time in his career!," Majumdar said as he congratulated India's famous athlete.
