Officers responded to Euclid Avenue in Northeast Atlanta shortly before midnight.
Their preliminary investigation revealed that the gunman shot a man who intervened after that gunman was disrespectful to a group of women.
Atlanta police have not released the victim's name or condition.

In the video, the delivery driver puts the package down and walks around the corner. But 30 seconds later, he returns to retrieve the items before running down the garden path. Perry was at work while his package was delivered and said he was shocked that someone would jeopardize their job for a $15 package.

NY grandparents who vanished on religious trip found dead in embankment
A family of upstate New York grandparents who went missing while on a religious road trip were found dead next to their car in West Virginia on Saturday, police said on Saturday. The four elderly relatives, identified by authorities as Dr. Kishore Divan, 89, Asha Divan, 85, Shailesh Divan, 86, and Gita Divan, 84, were on a road trip from Buffalo to the Palace of Gold, a historic Hindu site in Marshall County, West Virginia, when they disappeared Tuesday. A 49-year-old Marietta man faces 170 years in prison after he was convicted of fraud. According to court documents, on February 13, 2021, Torjagbo submitted two tax returns to the IRS. Each tax return had a different social security number and date of birth. The counterfeit tax returns showed that Torjagbo had millions of dollars in losses that offset earnings from his African gold mine business, Kremkov Industries, the Department of Justice said. This resulted in the U.S. Treasury issuing a check for $3,366,240.76 to Torjagbo.
