Fulton County prosecutors ask to have Young Thug's probation revoked
Channel 2 Action News has learned prosecutors with the Fulton County District Attorney's Office have filed a motion to revoke the probation for hip hop superstar Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams.
A document obtained by Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne says, 'Since sentencing, the Defendant has engaged in conduct that threatens the safety of witnesses and prosecutors, compromises ongoing legal proceedings, and warrants immediate revocation of probation.'
The motion says, 'the integrity of this court, and the safety of those involved in this prosecution are at stake.'

The YSL case began initially as an indictment that charged 28 people, including rapper Young Thug, with conspiring to violate Georgia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
Young Thug pleaded guilty as part of a non-negotiated plea in December.
Nine other defendants took plea deals before the trial began, including rapper Gunna.
The trial was the longest criminal trial in Georgia history. It took 10 months alone just to select the jury and testimony didn't begin until a year ago in Nov. 2023.

A Union City man who rescued a woman from a burning car said he had just seconds before the car exploded. 'I kept stepping over the flames,' Michael Craig told Channel 2's Audrey Washington on Tuesday. 'When the car crashed here, I came and ran right here,' Craig explained. Craig said on Monday evening, he heard a crash, ran outside, and saw the unthinkable -- a burning car in his neighbor's Rosewood Place home in Union City. 'I just saw somebody in the car, and that it was on fire,' Craig said. Fairburn firefighters posted video of the scene on their Facebook page. Fire officials said it appeared the driver somehow lost control before she slammed into the house. Craig said the driver seemed disoriented. 'Her window was down, and then she rolled it back up. And I said, 'Your car is on fire, don't do that, don't do that!' So, I had her throw me the keys and I hit the key fob to unlock the car,' Craig told Washington. 'By that time, her feet had caught on fire, and a guy got a fire extinguisher, and he sprayed her feet, and we carried her across the street,' Craig explained. The driver is now recovering. Craig said he can only imagine what could have happened. 'If I didn't come outside, she would have died. She would've burned in that car,' Craig said. 'So, you saved her life?' Washington asked. 'I did,' Craig answered. Neighbors said the homeowners are staying with family. Channel 2 Action News is working to get an update on the driver's condition.

Two more alleged members of the ‘Snakes' indicted for RICO violations
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Two Peoria teens were indicted Tuesday on charges they were part of a violent group that wreaked havoc on Peoria's streets. Amarii A. Smith-Holley, 17, and Kendal E. Patterson, 18, both were indicted for violating the state's anti-racketeering laws as well as aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon, the latter charge alleged they possessed a loaded machine gun. Smtih-Holley faces five additional counts which include filing a false police report, aggravated battery with a firearm for a Feb. 20, 2023, shooting. He also faces a charge of aggravated discharge of a machine gun as well as two other weapons counts. Both face decades behind bars if convicted. And both are alleged to be members of the Snakes street gang. The Feb. 20, 2023, shooting occurred near the intersection of Hayes and Stanley streets in South Peoria. The aggravated discharge of a machine gun alleges Smith-Holley fired at a person on July 7, 2024, in the 2300 block of North Linn Street. Patterson is accused in connection with incidents on Feb. 24, 2023, in the 800 block of Gift Avenue, also in Peoria. Last fall, State's Attorney Jodi Hoos filed the RICO counts against 10 people under the state's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act which alleges they were affiliated with the 'Snakes' street gang, which prosecutors said is linked to a 'rash of violence that has plagued the area.' At the time, six of the 10 were minors, and Hoos said she planned to ask a judge to transfer the case from the juvenile division to the adult division. Both Smith-Holley and Patterson were transferred out of juvenile court last month. RICO charges are normally seen in federal court and are products of federal investigations of organized crime. RICO counts often allege that people worked together to advance a criminal enterprise. The Snakes are a street gang in Peoria. It appears the group is not linked to any one area within the city limits, based on records from prior incidents and arrests. Among the incidents they have been linked to are a 2024 shooting at a post-prom party in Chillicothe that left one person with a gunshot wound to the head. Prosecutors allege the group is responsible or linked to at least three murders and 12 shootings. Of the other eight people, all their cases are still pending. Woman charged with murder after DeKalb baby dies
A woman faces multiple charges after a baby died in DeKalb County. Tamara Salter remains in jail with no bond. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] On June 4, DeKalb county police said it responded to a call about a baby who was unresponsive at 4400 Glenwood Road. The baby was taken to a local hospital, where doctors declared the child dead. Police arrested Salter and charged her with murder, cruelty to children and reckless conduct.
