The tournament against the world no. 110 Gracheva came a day after Eala made a quarterfinals exit in the Ilkley Open.
World no. 77 Eala will face Romania's Anca Todoni, ranked no. 87, in the second round as she hopes to enter the main draw.

After securing a historic silver medal against Vietnam in the AVC Nations Cup on Saturday, three Alas Pilipinas players were recognized as top players of the tournament. Angel Canino was named as one of the Best Outside Hitters along with Vietnam's Tran Thi Thanh Thuy. Dell Palomata, meanwhile, was one of the Best Middle Blockers of the tournament, while Philippine team captain Jia De Guzman was named as Best Setter.
