on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 194 development projects worth Rs 1,184 crore in Ambedkar Nagar district. The CM also announced that based on "requests from public representatives", the govt was changing the name of Akbarpur bus stand to 'Shravan Dham bus stand' in a tribute to the cultural and mythological legacy of Shravan Kumar from the Ramayana, and the Tanda bus stand to 'Jairam Verma bus stand'.
Reiterating his govt's commitment to developing Shravan Dham as a religious and cultural tourism destination, the CM added that his govt would also focus on promoting tourism in Shiv Baba Dham where several development works have already been completed while others are in various stages of completion. Of the 194 projects that were initiated, 102 were inaugurated, including the Mukhyamantri Kalyan Mandapam in Raje Sultanpur, and the foundation stone was laid for 92.
These include 14 projects of the public works department, 72 of the Jal Jeevan mission, four of the electricity department, six related to law and order and security, and 13 tube-well projects. The CM also announced the establishment of a fire station and fire brigade unit in Bhiti tehsil, for which the foundation stone will be laid soon. The CM also distributed appointment letters to newly recruited doctors, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers, ANMs and other personnel.

He mentioned that just a day earlier, Union home minister Amit Shah presided over an event where over 60,000 constables were inducted into the UP Police, including more than 12,000 women. He said that earlier jobs were auctioned but now jobs were being given on merit.
Yogi highlighted the difference made in UP by his govt after 2017. Speaking on the law and order situation, the CM said that UP was now riot and crime-free.
"The baton of law will strike so hard that it will be remembered for seven generations," the CM said, adding that a time-bound framework has also been established to resolve revenue disputes.
The CM added that UP shed its earlier tag of a 'Bimaru' state and emerged as one of India's leading economies. He also spoke about the development taking place in Ambedkar Nagar, such as the construction of a medical college, polytechnic and tourism infrastructure.
The CM also hit out at opposition parties and those opposing the state's development and indulging in family-centric politics. He accused them of exploiting caste for personal political gain, using divisive tactics, and attempting to dampen the public's enthusiasm. "They engage in a naked dance of casteism and try to fracture the unity of society," he said, asserting that his govt is firmly committed to exposing and confronting such disruptive forces.

MUMBAI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at two locations in Panvel and one location in Dadar to unearth a land scam and trace the proceeds of crime after registering a money laundering case against JM Mhatre of JM Mhatre Infrastructure. It is alleged that the accused illegally acquired the government forest land by making duplicate entry in Mutation in 2005. J M Mhatre allegedly transferred 1.86 ha of land out of 4 hector to the NHAI and received Rs 42.4 cr as compensation and one Saiyyed Mohammad Abdul Hamid Qadri transferred 0.4225 Hectares of land to the NHAI and received Rs 9.69 cr.
