"Rahul Gandhi's arrow directly hit the target": Congress MP Pramod Tiwari supports Rahul Gandhi's attack over Operation Sindoor

India Gazette4 days ago

New Delhi [India], June 4 (ANI): Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said Rahul Gandhi's arrow directly hit the target. Supporting Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's statement questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Operation Sindoor, Tiwari said that the BJP is discouraged and mentally distressed.
Speaking to ANI, MP Pramod Tiwari said, 'Rahul Gandhi's arrow directly hit the target. He (Rahul Gandhi) did what was his responsibility towards the country, as a leader of the opposition party. The whole world knows that Donald Trump has said 12 times that he has brokered a ceasefire, by luring both sides in the name of trade. So, Rahul Gandhi fulfilled his duty, and the BJP has become discouraged and mentally distressed. That's why they are attacking in non-parliamentary language.'
He demanded that the BJP leaders ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to say that US President Donald Trump is lying.
'I ask that if there is courage in the BJP, then ask its leader, Narendra Modi, to say that Trump is lying...' he said.
The row began when, addressing a convention of Congress workers in Bhopal, LoP Rahul Gandhi said, 'Now, I understand RSS-BJP well. They run away out of fear if slight pressure is put on them. When Trump called Modiji- Modiji kya kar rahe ho, Narender-Surrender and with 'ji hazooor', Narenderji followed Trump. In the 1971 war, the Seventh Fleet (which came from the US), India Gandhi said I will do whatever I have to do. This is the difference. This is their character; all of them are like this. Since the Independence movement, they have had the habit of writing letters of surrender.'
He also reiterated his attack on social media, X, stating, 'Trump's phone came, and PM Narendra Modi ji immediately surrendered. History is witness. This is the character of the BJP-RSS; they always budge. India had bifurcated Pakistan in 1971 despite the threat by the United States.'
'The 'babbar sher' and 'shernis' of Congress fight the Superpowers, they do not bow,' his post read.
This was followed by attacks from BJP leaders. Senior BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said, 'Rahul Gandhi has proved again that he does not have the ability and maturity to handle a post like the Leader of the Opposition and has shown his lack of wisdom and low standards,' said Trivedi.
Reacting to Rahul Gandhi's remark on the BJP-RSS, Trivedi said, 'This is the same BJP and the same organisation that has reduced the once-invincible Congress to irrelevance in many states.'
The BJP MP went on to list what he termed a series of 'surrenders' by Congress governments over the years.
'You said on 15 July 2011 that terrorism cannot be controlled -- that was a surrender to terrorism. After the 26/11 attacks, your government did not permit military retaliation. That, too, was a surrender. In 1971, despite having 93,000 Pakistani soldiers in custody, Indira Gandhi's government failed to reclaim PoK. In 1948, Nehru took the Kashmir issue to the UN and surrendered half of it. At Independence, one-third of the country was surrendered to Jinnah and the Muslim League,' Trivedi stated.
BJP MP Sambit Patra said that Rahul Gandhi's speech in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday does not befit any 'civilised politician or any leader of the opposition.' (ANI)

Maharashtra polls were match-fixed, Bihar next: Rahul Gandhi

NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday hit out at the Election Commission after the poll watchdog rejected his allegations of rigging in the 2024 Maharashtra assembly election. Reacting to the EC's refutation attributed to the commission officials who spoke on anonymity, Gandhi said, "Evasion won't protect your credibility. Telling the truth will". Also read: 'LOP's desperation over Congress losses on display,' says BJP Sharing his op-ed published in 'The Indian Express', headlined "Match-fixing Maharashtra", on X, Rahul reiterated the allegations he has been making since the poll's result was announced. The 2024 Maharashtra assembly election was a "blueprint for rigging democracy", he said, alleging that this "match-fixing" would next happen in Bihar and "then anywhere BJP is losing". If you have nothing to hide, answer questions in my article and prove it by: publishing consolidated, digital, machine-readable voter rolls for the most recent elections to LS and Vidhan Sabhas of all states Rahul told EC On EC officials rejecting his claims, Rahul said, "Dear EC, you are a constitutional body. Releasing unsigned, evasive notes to intermediaries is not the way to respond to serious questions." "If you have nothing to hide, answer the questions in my article and prove it by: Publishing consolidated, digital, machine-readable voter rolls for the most recent elections to the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabhas of all states including Maharashtra and by releasing all post-5 pm CCTV footage from Maharashtra polling booths," he demanded. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Dad-Approved Ways to Celebrate Father's Day in Costa Mesa - Travel Costa Mesa Travel Costa Mesa Read More Undo Rahul further said, "My article shows how this happened, step by step: Step 1: Rig the panel for appointing the Election Commission. Step 2: Add fake voters to the roll. Step 3: Inflate voter turnout. Step 4: Target the bogus voting exactly where BJP needs to win. Step 5: Hide the evidence." He said, "It's not hard to see why BJP was so desperate in Maharashtra. But rigging is like match-fixing - the side that cheats might win the game, but damages institutions and destroys public faith in the result."

LOP's desperation over Congress losses on display: BJP

NEW DELHI: Top BJP functionaries including party president J P Nadda and Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday reacted vehemently to Congress member Rahul Gandhi's latest claim questioning the Maharashtra assembly polls, saying that the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha was reflecting his desperation after his party's losses and the looming one in Bihar assembly polls. "Rahul Gandhi's latest article is a blueprint for manufacturing fake narratives, owing to his sadness and desperation of losing election after election," said Nadda in response to Gandhi's article which appeared in a national daily on Saturday. Citing factors that "doomed" Congress in recent polls, Nadda said Congress gets defeated election after election due to his (Rahul Gandhi's) antics. "Instead of introspecting, he cooks up bizarre conspiracies and cries rigging. Ignores all facts and data. Defames institutions with zero proof and hopes for headlines over facts," the BJP president said in a post on X. Nadda said despite being exposed time and again, Rahul shamelessly keeps peddling lies. "And, he is doing this because a defeat in Bihar is certain," he said adding that democracy doesn't need drama but truth. Pradhan said Rahul Gandhi's post on Maharashtra elections is nothing more than a predictable script-lose elections, discredit institutions, fabricate conspiracies, and portray himself as a victim of an imaginary system. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 신차장기렌트 첫달 렌트료 전액지원해드립니다. 신차장기렌트센터 더 알아보기 Undo "But India's democracy is far stronger than the insecurities of a dynast who refuses to accept repeated electoral verdicts," Pradhan, a prominent OBC face of BJP, said. He said it there's any rigging Rahul should be worried about, it's the kind his own party mastered for decades-from Emergency to misusing Article 356 over 90 times to dismiss opposition govts. "Let's not forget, this is the same Rahul Gandhi who falsely claimed in Cambridge that Indian democracy is 'dead', yet participates in elections, campaigns freely, and blames EVMs only when he loses," the senior BJP functionary said.

Aaditya Thackeray could experience jail this monsoon, says Nitesh Rane

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: During his visit to Tuljapur in Dharashiv, BJP minister Nitesh Rane said Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray might face imprisonment in the coming monsoon period. Rane suggested that discussions about Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS merger are being circulated to deflect attention from ED's investigation of actor Dino Morea, whom he identified as Aaditya Thackeray's friend. "All details have arrived in the (Dino Morea) case, and (Sena-UBT chief) Uddhav Thackeray's son could soon experience a jail trip this monsoon," he said. The fisheries and ports minister emphasised on the connection between Aaditya Thackeray and Morea. The ED conducted searches at various sites, including Morea's Mumbai residence, investigating the Rs 65 crore Mithi river desilting scam. The agency has summoned Morea for questioning next week. Regarding the potential merger between Sena (UBT) and MNS, Rane described it as a private matter between the Thackeray cousins. "They fought each other without consulting us, and will not tell us now if they plan to unite," he said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo Rane also said both Sena (UBT) and MNS have no combined political strength, considering their minimal legislative representation. "They hate the Hindu religion, criticise mega events like Maha Kumbh," he added. Leader of opposition in the state legislative council Ambadas Danve, however, dismissed Rane's statements, describing him as politically inexperienced and suggesting that even BJP members don't take his comments seriously. "Rane is known for talking nonsense, and there is no need to react to his remarks on Aditya Thackeray," he told TOI. At a subsequent party gathering in Dharashiv, Rane emphasised BJP's supremacy and its rightful claim to the chief minister's position. "No matter how much power someone shows, no matter how anyone throws tantrums, remember that the country has BJP's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the state has Devendra Fadnavis as chief minister," he said. These remarks came amidst tensions between local BJP and Shiv Sena units regarding District Development and Planning Council work sanctions in Dharashiv.
