Tennessee Titans given modest team rating in Madden 26 beta
The Tennessee Titans have been widely viewed as one of the worst teams in the NFL by analysts post-draft and heading into training camp, and for good reason. The team is coming off back-to-back brutal seasons and earned the top pick in the draft after their 2024 debacle.
While excitement is building around the facility in Nashville, speculation will continue until the season begins, leaving people to rely on history as their guide. This includes the world of fantasy and video games, where Tennessee has seen its stock rise out of the basement in the popular Madden video game series.
Team rankings from this year's version (beta) -- Madden '26 -- have been released, and the Titans are not the lowest-rated of the NFL's current 32 teams. They come in at No. 26, ahead of three of their opponents, including the Denver Broncos, whom they will face in the season opener.
Remarkably, the game engineers are tapping into the potential of the young talent on the roster and have the team on an upward trajectory. Football analysts often fail to do so during their power rankings, consistently placing the Titans at the bottom of the league entering training camp.
While the official release of Madden NFL 26 is still several weeks out, uStadium got its hands on the Madden NFL 26 beta team ratings for all 32 teams in the NFL, meaning these rankings could change. The team rankings will not be final until the game is officially released to the public, which is tentatively scheduled for August 14.

Travis Kelce Makes Strong Statement in NFL's New Post
Travis Kelce Makes Strong Statement in NFL's New Post originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Despite falling short of the ultimate goal, a Super Bowl title, the Kansas City Chiefs remain one of the NFL's elite franchises. Advertisement At the heart of the Chiefs' offense is Travis Kelce, one of the greatest tight ends in league history. As Kansas City rolls through the offseason, Kelce hosted the annual Tight End University (TEU) in Nashville, a three-day training camp he co-founded in 2021 alongside George Kittle and Greg Olsen. The NFL posted a video on Tuesday capturing Kelce walking fellow tight ends through advanced route-running techniques at the event. The video opens with Kelce emphasizing the challenge "for us big guys" to plant a single foot at near-top speed, advocating instead for a two-step approach in cuts and "sometimes it takes three on the 15 to 20 yard routes if you're lucky enough to run them." Advertisement He stresses the importance of slowing momentum, gathering power and achieving a balanced, powerful position, with the instep pointed in the intended direction, so that tight ends can explode out of breaks and gain separation, even against aggressive defenders. Now 35, Kelce has amassed 1,004 career receptions for 12,151 yards and 77 receiving touchdowns through 12 seasons, making him the Chiefs' all-time receptions leader. He's a 10-time Pro Bowler, a seven-time All-Pro selection (including four first-team honors) and a three-time Super Bowl champion. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (87) is teaching the craft to other tight Streicher-Imagn Images Kelce also holds numerous NFL records for tight ends, including most consecutive seasons (seven) and most overall seasons (seven) with 1,000 receiving yards, as well as the single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end (1,416 in 2020). Advertisement Kelce's latest highlight underscores his reputation as not only an elite NFL talent but also a leader and mentor within the tight end community. Cardinals Bringing in Good Luck Charm Jon Gruden For Critical Cubs Series
Cardinals Bringing in Good Luck Charm Jon Gruden For Critical Cubs Series originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Fresh off an unexpected surge in local popularity during the St. Louis Blues' recent playoff run, Jon Gruden is set to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Wednesday's Cardinals-Cubs showdown at Busch Stadium. Advertisement Gruden — a longtime NFL coach and fiery football personality who's kept his trademark intensity long after leaving the sidelines — now works as a sports personality for Barstool Sports. Gruden frequently gets sent large packages filled with gear and memorabilia from college and pro teams, which he unboxes on camera with his signature enthusiasm. His videos often include energetic shoutouts, nostalgic nods to team legends, and heartfelt appreciation for the gifts. The clip quickly went viral, and Gruden leaned fully into his newfound bond with the Blues. Although the Blues were not able to pull away the series victory, losing the series 4-3 in shocking fashion, Gruden's love for St. Louis teams didn't slow down. On Wednesday, Gruden will be back in the city for a rivalry matchup between the St. Louis Cardinals (42-36) and the Chicago Cubs. The teams sit 3.5 games apart in the division with the Cubs holding a lead in the NL Central. The Cardinals sit one game behind the Milwaukee Brewers and will look to cut the Cubs lead by winning their four-game series. Advertisement The Cardinals exploded in Game 1 of the series on Monday, knocking four two-run homers en route to an 8-2 victory in St. Louis. Lars Nootbar hit his second home run in four games after going 16 games without one, and Willson Contreras went 3-for-4 in the batter's box to continue his hot start to the season. If Gruden's recent track record as a hype man is any indication, the Cardinals are hoping his presence at Busch Stadium can help spark another electric performance — and maybe even a little more magic in their push up the standings. 49ers' George Kittle Named Top 3 Tight End Draft Pick of Millennium
49ers' George Kittle Named Top 3 Tight End Draft Pick of Millennium originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The San Francisco 49ers know they have a gem in tight end George Kittle. There's no debate about that. Advertisement But Kittle was just named by Eric Edholm as the No. 3 tight end draft value of this millennium, behind only Travis Kelce and Rob Gronkowski. "The 2017 draft class featured some respectable receiving talent at tight end, including the likes of Evan Engram, David Njoku and Jonnu Smith," writes Edholm. "But by far the best in the group has been Kittle, who has more catches, yards and touchdowns than all of them -- and he's considered a more than capable blocker, too. The energetic Kittle caught only 48 passes in 40 college games at run-heavy Iowa, but he nearly matched that total (43) as a rookie with the 49ers. In seven seasons since then, he's averaged more than 70 catches per season, topping the 1,000-yard mark four times and earning six Pro Bowl nods. "Injuries have slowed Kittle at times, and his postseason production isn't quite as strong, but his credentials are above reproach, and he remains close to his peak entering his age-32 season, which was reflected in the top-of-the-market contract extension the 49ers signed Kittle to this spring." Across 113 regular season games in eight seasons, Kittle has 538 catches with 7,380 yards and 45 touchdowns. He's added six Pro Bowl nods and been named First-Team All-Pro twice and Second-Team All-Pro three times. Advertisement Last season, the former Iowa Hawkeye finished just outside the top 10 in Offensive Player of the Year voting. No. 3 All-Millennium seems pretty good for a fifth-round draft pick.
