TL;DR Gemini in Google Drive can now summarize and answer questions about videos.
The feature is available in English only and is accessible through Google Drive's overlay previewer or a standalone file viewer.
Gemini's video analysis feature is rolling out to Google Workspace customers and those with a Google One AI Premium subscription.
Gemini offers several handy features in Google Drive, including the ability to summarize files, discuss topics based on the information from one or more files, and quickly retrieve information from files. So far, the chatbot's summarization and Q&A capabilities have worked with text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and PDFs stored in your Drive. Now, Google is extending support to videos.
Google Drive users can now call upon Gemini to get summaries and ask questions about videos in their Drive. In a blog post highlighting the new feature, Google says that the chatbot will now accurately respond to queries like 'Summarize this video,' 'List action items from this meeting recording,' and 'What are the highlights from this announcement video?'
This new feature should help users save a lot of time, allowing them to get a quick summary or extract information without actually watching videos. The feature is currently available in English only, and Google says you can access it using Google Drive's overlay previewer or a standalone file viewer.
Gemini's summarization and Q&A capabilities for videos are available for Google Workspace subscribers on the Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Gemini Education, and Gemini Education Premium plans. Google One AI Premium subscribers can also utilize this feature, along with those who have previously purchased the Gemini Business or Gemini Enterprise add-ons.

Fairphone 6's modular design could let you customize, not just repair

Damien Wilde / Android Authority TL;DR Fairphone could launch its next phone, the Fairphone 6, later this month. The device may feature a modular back panel, allowing users to easily switch to a different back panel color or add accessories. The Fairphone 6 could come in three colors and retail for €549.99. It's been almost two years since Dutch smartphone maker Fairphone released the Fairphone 5, and a successor is long overdue. Fortunately, there's finally some good news. A new leak suggests that the Fairphone 6 may be right around the corner, and it could feature an updated modular design with support for interchangeable accessories. The Fairphone 6 could launch on June 25, according to retail data sourced by Dutch publication Nieuwe Mobiel. The device will reportedly be available in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, with WinFuture adding that Fairphone will offer it in three colors: Horizon Black, Cloud White, and Forest Green. Although we don't have more details about the Fairphone 6's internal hardware, WinFuture has shared an image of its front profile and revealed that it could feature a modular two-part back panel. This new back panel could be somewhat similar to what we've seen on the CMF Phone 1, and allow users to easily switch to a different color back panel or utilize its two-part design to give the phone a dual-tone look. The modular back panel will also support accessories like a card holder, a lanyard, or a ring to make holding the device easier. We don't have a clear idea of the mounting mechanism for these accessories, as the image doesn't showcase the phone's back panel. However, it does give us a look at what appears to be a sliding latch, which might allow users to open the back panel easily. Furthermore, the publication adds that the Fairphone 6 will feature a user-replaceable main, wide-angle, and selfie cameras. Like the Fairphone 5, its earpiece, speaker, USB-C port, display, and battery will also be interchangeable. Fairphone could retail the phone for €549.99 (~$629), but we'll have to wait until the launch for confirmation. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ . Mint Mobile's $30/month Galaxy S25 deal is real, with one important caveat

Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority TL;DR Mint Mobile's new deal includes the Samsung Galaxy S25 and two years of unlimited data for just $30 per month. The deal starts at noon PT today and runs until July 31. While it works out to $30 per month, you're required to make the full $720 payment upfront. Starting later today and running until July 31, Mint Mobile is offering what it calls its 'best phone deal ever.' The T-Mobile subsidiary is combining two years of unlimited service with a standard model Samsung Galaxy S25, all for the equivalent of just $30 per month. According to the T-Mobile press release, the deal starts at noon PT today (3 PM ET), so it's not live on the Mint Mobile site at the time of writing. It's certainly getting its share of fanfare, though, with former Mint owner and current spokesperson Ryan Reynolds appearing in the YouTube video below to spotlight the offer. While the deal is legitimate, there are a few key caveats. It's only for new customers, and it requires your commitment to the Mint Mobile Unlimited plan for 24 months. Not only that, but you'll also need to pay the entire two-year outlay upfront. In other words, the $30 per month figure is more of a marketing simplification than a payment plan, and what the deal actually costs you is an immediate payment of $720. Still, that's less than just buying the Galaxy S25 outright, and you're getting 24 months of unlimited data on top. The deal is in honor of a new milestone for Mint. It now offers full RCS messaging support, meaning modern chat features like typing indicators and high-res media work across all phones on the network. Once the offer is available in a few hours, the button below should take you to it. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ .
