First Time In 95 Years! 3 Batters Score More Than...

Last Updated: Three batters getting over 150 runs each in an innings is a magnificent milestone achieved by New Zealand; a feat achieved by them for the first time in Test history. The Kiwis set Bulawayo's Queens Sports Club ablaze with some astonishing batting performances against Zimbabwe in the second and last Test of the ongoing 2-match series. The trio of Devon Conway, Henry Nicholls and Rachin Ravindra smashed 150-plus scores each to hand New Zealand a mammoth lead of 476 runs in the first innings of the Test match. Convay scored 153 off 245 deliveries before Blessing Muzarabani knocked over the opener. Henry Nicholls (150*) and Rachin Ravindra (165*) returned unbeaten at stumps as New Zealand posted 601 for 3. A Historic Landmark Three batters getting over 150 runs each in an innings is a magnificent milestone achieved by New Zealand; a feat achieved for the first time in Test history. They are only the third side in the world, after England (in 1938) and India (In 1986), to reach this historic landmark in the longest format of the game. Three Batters With 150-Plus In Same Innings It was another day of one-sided cricket after the Black Caps resumed on 174 for one, already 49 runs ahead. Zimbabwe took an hour to dismiss nightwatchman Jacob Duffy, who made 36. Only one more wicket fell throughout the day, that of Conway. Nicholls was on 64 when Ravindra joined him following Conway's dismissal. Ravindra, a left-hander like the other two centurions, quickly went on the attack and by the end of the day had overtaken his partner. Ravindra reached his century off 104 balls. Despite having a significant lead, stand-in captain Mitchell Santner chose not to declare, allowing Ravindra to add another 65 runs off just 35 balls towards the close. Muzarabani took one for 101 in 24 overs, while Chivanga conceded 94 runs off 17 overs without taking a wicket. Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine used seven bowlers in a futile attempt to stop the flow of runs on a day when New Zealand scored 427 runs for the loss of two wickets.
