What seemed like a spur-of-the-moment performance had actually been in the works for quite some time, as Kelce revealed on the latest episode of his New Heights podcast with brother Jason. 'We're in Nashville—she grew up in Nashville... and yeah, we had this planned for a while,' he admitted. 'We were going to have some fun with the tight ends, especially Tight Ends & Friends and all the evening events.'
According to Kelce, Swift casually approached Kane Brown and his band backstage and proposed, 'Hey, if you guys are down, I'll go up there, play a song and see if we can pop the roof off this place.'
She didn't overthink it. She didn't rehearse. She just delivered.
'And sure enough, she's so good with everybody, just people and making people feel comfortable and absolutely rocked the stage, yet again,' Kelce added, visibly impressed.
He also gave fans a peek behind the curtain, revealing how dedicated Swift was, even for an impromptu set. 'She was in the back doing musical notes, like, sheets of music,' he explained.
'And then just went out there without practicing and was pitch-perfect and just killed it.'
