Video: Dog Proves He's the Perfect ‘Plus One' To a Wedding
Lucas the Dachshund dog's new viral video showed him turning up as the perfect date and stealing hearts at his sister's wedding. The internet is left awestruck seeing the much-loved family members have the best time at the event. The video, which has now gone viral, even captured the precious moments. Although Lucas may have needed a few power naps here and there, he did a fabulous job following through the day.
The video began with Lucas heading out to the venue in the car, with his outfit neatly hanging next to him. Upon reaching, the pup started getting ready for the big day. Lucas donned a crisp white shirt with a black tie. The gentleman completed his dapper look with a tuxedo-style waistcoat. Lucas then headed out to attend the ceremony, where he sat patiently in his chair.
Later, the Dachshund had some duties to fulfill, since he was assigned as the ring bearer for the nuptials. The pup perfectly completed his task and continued to enjoy his sister's wedding. Following that, it was finally time for food. Lucas headed to the hall and looked for a good spot. The furry gentleman continued to enjoy the cocktail hour, munching on a plate full of yummy veggies. After getting some food in, the family's 'famous cousin' turned up for a photo session.
Lucas continued to sit through the schedule while taking a few naps to power up and pee breaks in between. Besides enjoying a big feast and family party, the adorable pup also received a gift since he was the bride's little brother. Clearly, Lucas had a wonderful time.

She'll play Elinor Dashwood, the eldest sister of the three siblings. In her ELLE US cover story, Edgar-Jones spoke about the importance of playing layered characters. 'It's great that more and more stories are being made with women front and centre,' she said. 'It's also an interesting thing, being a woman in your 20s, wanting to find characters who are not always ingenues. You want to find characters with agency. I want every character I play to be complicated and deep and have layers to them, because that's what it is to be human. I feel lucky that a lot of the characters I've played have had that. They aren't defined by their actions or their experiences, or by the men in their life.' Edgar-Jones celebrated the Sense and Sensibility news on Instagram in a photo posted today that shows her holding the book. She wrote a simple caption, '👀.' On July 11, Deadline reported that Esmé Creed-Miles (Hanna) has been cast as Marianne Dashwood, Elinor's emotional and impulsive sister. Miles shared an Instagram post celebrating the big news with shots of the book and her script side-by-side with Edgar Jones's. On July 21, Variety reported that Caitríona Balfe (Outlander), George MacKay (1917), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve), Frank Dillane (Fear the Walking Dead), Herbert Nordrum (The Worst Person in the World), and Bodhi Rae Breathnach (So Awkward Academy) have joined the cast. Balfe will play Mrs. Dashwood, Elinor and Marianne's mother; MacKay will play Edward Ferrars, Elinor's love interest; Shaw will play Mrs. Jennings, the woman whom the sisters stay with in London; Dillane will play John Willoughby, Marianne's first love interest; Nordrum will play Colonel Brandon; Marianne's other love interest; and Rae Breathnach will play Margaret, Elinor and Marianne's younger sister. The Sense and Sensibility remake will be brought to you by Focus Features and Working Title Films. Georgia Oakley (Blue Jean) will direct, and the bestselling author Diana Reid (Love & Virtue) will write the screenplay. Yes! According to Reid, the film was set to start shooting in July 2025, and it has. Filming has officially commenced in the United Kingdom. 'The View' host Sunny Hostin warns Colbert cancellation could lead to the 'dismantling of our Constitution'
"The View" co-host Sunny Hostin warned on Tuesday that CBS canceling Stephen Colbert's "Late Show" could be the start of the "dismantling of our Constitution." CBS announced Thursday "The Late Show" will end in May at the end of its broadcast season. Though CBS and parent company Paramount said the choice to cancel the series was "purely a financial decision," and the show was reportedly losing the network $40 million a year, many liberal commentators claim it was for political reasons. Just days before the cancellation, Colbert slammed Paramount's recent settlement with President Donald Trump over his lawsuit against "60 Minutes" as a "big fat bribe" ahead of a pending merger between Paramount and Skydance Media. Hostin and her fellow co-hosts were also skeptical of CBS' explanation for canceling Colbert's show based on the "timing" of the announcement. She pointed out that if politics were involved, then the fabric of democracy could be in jeopardy. "My concern is, if it is political, then everyone should be concerned. People on the right should be concerned. People on the left should be concerned. Because it's very clear that, if it is political, this is the dismantling of our democracy. This is the dismantling of our Constitution. Right?" Hostin said to the cheering of the studio audience. She continued, "The First Amendment is the First Amendment for a reason and that is freedom of the press, freedom of speech. Freedom to speak truth to power. If that is taken away, if the comedians are being attacked, then that means our Constitution is being dismantled… That means the very rubric of our democracy is being dismantled. And I think every single person should be really, really concerned about it." Hostin praised Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., for speaking up on the issue and demanding answers. Several other high-profile Democrats also spoke out against canceling Colbert, whose show was openly favorable to their party while hostile to Republicans. "We must protect our Constitution and we must protect our democracy! This is bigger than just the cancellation of a television show!" Hostin exclaimed. Her co-host Joy Behar blamed Trump for Colbert's cancellation and warned "all bets are off" if comedians are taken down. "It's always been the role of the court jester to make fun of the king. That is the role of comedians. I have said on this show, I think I said it years ago, when they start coming for the comedian, all bets are off, because the king is supposed to take the hits and this guy has a skin thinner than, I don't know, than this card," Behar said, holding one up. Colbert fired back against Trump on his show Monday night after the president celebrated his show ending on Truth Social, writing, "I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. "How dare you, sir?" Colbert responded. "Would an untalented man be able to compose the following satirical witticism? Go f--- yourself."
