There's been a lot of buzz about Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's wedding plans. Although the couple got engaged last year, rumours are swirling that they might get married later this year. While Selena and Benny have remained tight-lipped about the details, Ed Sheeran recently dropped a hint in an interview, suggesting he's been invited to their wedding, fueling fans' curiosity even more about the secret celebrations.
Ed Sheeran took on Vanity Fair's 'Lie Detector Test' series, where he happened to spill the beans about the couple's 'upcoming wedding". On being asked if he had received an invite, Ed coyly stated, 'Mm-hmmm." He also went on to confirm Benny Blanco's presence at his intimate wedding with Cherry Seaborn in 2018. Having collaborated on a number of songs, Blanco and Ed's longtime connection seemingly makes the latter a part of the yet-to-be-unveiled guest list at the wedding.
In the meantime, Selena and Blanco have been reportedly busy with the preparations, with the couple already planning some of the final details concerning food, music, and the guests. In April this year, Blanco appeared on the Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware podcast, and said, 'We haven't figured out anything in our wedding yet. The only thing I've said straight up, as a part of the food, is that I want Jewish cook and food writer Jake Cohen to do the challah. That's all I care about. He makes the best challah I've ever had.
Elsewhere, Selena also spoke about her decision to skip the first dance at her wedding, with Blanco noting that she is 'shy." The Emilia Perez star went on to share that she might be doing a special dance with her maternal grandfather. Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have been dating for a while now. They started seeing each other in 2023, years after being collaborators for several songs. In December of 2023, Selena confirmed 'privately dating" for six months. Over the course of time, their relationship grew stronger, with both artists strongly supporting each other.
In December last year, the couple got engaged, with Selena announcing the news on Instagram. 'Forever begins now," she captioned her post alongside pictures of her engagement ring.
