Greatland Gold guns for $4.4 billion ASX arrival next week
Australia's next big gold debutant will make a $4.4 billion splash when it arrives on the ASX this month, surpassing many of its WA mid-tier peers all uplifted by the yellow metal's thunderous run. Greatland Gold has locked in commitments to raise $50 million with Australian investors after landing on an offer price of $6.60 a share — a 19.5 per cent premium on the company's share price the day before its prospectus was lodged. The agreed rate for a slice of the Pilbara gold miner had been at the top end of the range Greatland had been shooting for, the company told the London Stock Exchange on Monday. 'The exceptional demand received for the Australian offering is testament to the quality and opportunity of Greatland's Telfer mine and world-class Havieron brownfield development project,' chief executive Shaun Day said. 'The ASX is a natural listing venue for Greatland.' The London-listed company took control of the famed Telfer gold mine in the Pilbara from behemoth Newmont in December last year, and has since churned out more than 90,000 ounces of gold. Still retaining its spot as the company's biggest backer, Newmont will offload $440m worth of Greatland shares — or about half its stake — as part of aJU secondary offer tied in with the listing deal. It was not disclosed who would take on the new shares. With a $4.4 billion market capitalisation, Greatland will sit among the top end of WA's mid-tier gold set when it begins trading on the ASX on June 24. The miner will be level pegging with Capricorn Resources, and ahead of the likes of Regis Resources, Ramelius Resources and Westgold Resources. As well as gold production, Greatland is also eyeing copper output from the undeveloped Havieron deposit it discovered in WA's Paterson region. Greatland also has a farm-in and joint venture arrangement with Rio Tinto's exploration subsidiary for 1500sqkm of ground south of the two projects. Gold's bull run has been spurred by fresh conflict in the Middle East, taking an ounce of the precious metal to $US3415.46 ($5244.95) at 5pm local time on Monday, closing in on touching an all-time high of $US3500 achieved in April. Brokers Barrenjoey, Canaccord Genuity and Bank of America are acting as joint lead managers. on the listing and raising.

Top 7 sales boss Henry Tajer exits just six months in job
Don't miss out on the headlines from TV. Followed categories will be added to My News. Seven is searching for a new head of sales following the exit of its chief commercial officer Henry Tajer after six months in the role. Mr Tajer was appointed to Seven's most senior sales role in January following a radical restructure of Seven's corporate structure last year leading to the departure of seasoned Seven executives including advertising chief Kurt Burnette in June 2024. On Monday Seven confirmed Mr Tajer will transition from his full-time role into a consulting arrangement from the end of the month. Seven West Media managing director and CEO Jeff Howard praised Mr Tajer in Monday's announcement saying: 'Henry brought a new level of bold and innovative thinking to Seven's sales team. He drove significant change in his short time at Seven and on behalf of the entire team, I would like to thank him for his contribution. I look forward to continuing to work with Henry on opportunities to drive growth for SWM.' Seven is searching for a new head of sales following the exit of Henry Tajer. Picture: Hollie Adams/The Australian Seven West Media managing director and CEO Jeff Howard praised Mr Tajer. Picture: NewsWire / Martin Ollman Mr Tajer initially joined Seven as a consultant in August 2024 before becoming Seven's full-time CCO in January 2025, a role that saw him put on a lucrative contract at Seven. His predecessor Mr Burnette had been on $1.25 million a year at the time of his departure. Mr Tajer said of his departure from Seven that it would allow him to transition back to consulting work while allowing him to focus on the 'many exciting opportunities still ahead for Seven' as a consultant. The Seven sales team will be jointly led by Mr Tajer's former direct reports, Katie Finney, Seven's national TV sales director and national digital sales director Jordan King while a search is conducted for Mr Tajer's replacement. In May reported Mr Tajer's appointment at Seven had been the result of a decade of lobbying for a top sales job in Australian television. The Seven sales team will be led by Katie Finney until a replacement for Mr Tajer can be found. Picture: LinkedIn Mr Tajer is said to have won over Ryan Stokes and his dad, Seven chairman Kerry Stokes. Picture: John Feder/The Australian. Sources claimed he ultimately won over Seven chairman Kerry Stokes and son Ryan Stokes, non-executive director of Seven's board, leading to his appointment in January. Mr Tajer's aggressive and at times unconventional style has drawn critics internally and externally in recent years. He arrived at Seven following a string of short-lived roles. Prior to consulting for Seven he was CEO of The Influence Group for a year until June 2023. His previous role at marketing company Dentsu Aegis also lasted one year and saw Mr Tajer ruffle feathers. He also made headlines in adland in 2017 after exiting his role as Global CEO of IPG Mediabrands – a role he relocated his family from Australia to New York two years earlier in 2015 to fill. Mr Tajer's departure follows the recent exit of Seven's 'rookie' news boss Anthony De Ceglie after a controversial year at the broadcaster. Perth uranium stocks rocket after Sprott raises money for future buying spree of the nuclear fuel
The likes of Paladin Energy, Boss Energy and Deep Yellow all gained at least 15 per cent on Monday following a deal that is set to lift uranium prices. Sprott announced it sold US$100 million ($154m) worth of units in its physical uranium trust to Canaccord Genuity. The global asset manager successfully hawked the units at US$17.25 each, which is $US0.27 above the current unit price. Canada's Sprott is intending to use the money received to buy uranium after the transaction settles on June 20. 'If the entirety of this raise will go towards purchasing uranium, we estimate the demand from this raise at Friday's spot price of approximately US$70 (per pound) equates to approximately 1.43 million pounds (of uranium oxide),' Citi analyst Paul McTaggart said. 'Total utility demand is more than 180 million pounds of (uranium oxide) per year but most of this is done through term contracts — hence we believe this amount could potentially move spot prices, given it is a very thinly traded market.' Deep Yellow led the winners with a 21.2 per cent rise, Boss jumped 17.7 per cent, Paladin was up 15.6 per cent, Bannerman Energy gained 14.3 per cent and Lotus Resources leapt 12.9 per cent. Boss and Paladin are the two most shorted stocks on the ASX.
