Armed forces officers Sofiya Qureshi, Vyomika Singh to tell Op Sindoor story on KBC, to join Big B this I-Day
In a promo release of the show, Bachchan welcomed Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Indian Army, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Indian Air Force and Commander Prerna Deosthalee of the Indian Navy. The Sony TV show is expected to see the officers narrating key moments from India's high-risk counterterror mission, Operation Sindoor.
'Pakistan had been carrying out such acts repeatedly. A response was necessary, and that's why Operation Sindoor was planned (Pakistan yeh karta chala araha hai. Toh jawab dena banta tha sir. Isiliye Operation Sindoor ko plan kiya gaya),' Col Sofiya Qureshi told Bachchan from the hot seat.
'Pachhis minute me khel khatam'
In the short glimpse video, Wing Commander Vyomika recalled the swift execution of the mission, saying, 'From 1:05 AM to 1:30 AM, we completed the entire operation in just 25 minutes (Raat ko ek baj kar paanch minute se lekar dedh baje tak, pachhis minute me khel khatam kar diya).'
Commander Prerna praised the precise planning of the operarion, adding, 'Targets were destroyed and no harm was caused to any civilian.'
The promo ended with Col Qureshi stating, 'This is a new India with a new vision (Ye ek naya Bharat nayi soch ke saath hai),' followed by Bachchan and the audience chanting 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai."
The action packed episode is expected to air of 15th August on the occasion of Independence day.
Both Col Sofiya and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh playing key roles in the Operation Sindoor, and held press briefings while the mission was ongoing. The operation was launched by New Delhi in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians in the scenic meadow of Jammu and Kashmir.

Punjab: YouTuber quizzed by central agencies over 2024 Pak visit
The central intelligence agencies questioned a Jalandhar-based travel vlogger over his alleged visits to Pakistan a few months ago. The travel vlogger had uploaded multiple videos related to his Pakistan visit on his YouTube Channel. (HT File) Amrik Singh, a resident of Turna village in Jalandhar district, was summoned by Jalandhar rural police to visit Lohian police station on Monday evening, where he was questioned for more than 20 hours. He was released on Tuesday evening. Deputy inspector general of police (DIG) Naveen Singla confirmed the development and said, 'The social media influencer was questioned over his visit to Pakistan around eight months back.' Shahkot's deputy superintendent of police, Onkar Singh Brar, said 'central agencies' questioned the YouTuber, and the local police don't have any details about the questioning. 'He has been released. We have informed the village panchayat to take Amrik back from the police station,' he said. Amrik had uploaded multiple videos related to his Pakistan visit on his YouTube Channel. Amrik's wife, Manpreet Kaur, said her husband was summoned in connection with their December 2024 trip to Pakistan during which they filmed videos covering Sikh religious sites and other human interest stories, and uploaded the same on their YouTube channel. 'My husband's phone remained unreachable for nearly a day after he went to the Lohian police station to record his statement,' she said.

Protests continue over strays, detentions follow
New Delhi: Protests over Supreme Court's order on moving strays in Delhi-NCR to shelters continued for a second straight day, with 35-40 people briefly detained in Connaught Place area on Tuesday. The street outside Hanuman Mandir was packed with dog lovers and activists, many with placards and posters. While some protestors demanded justice for strays, others held up posters citing the "religious significance" of dogs. A large number of police and CRPF personnel were present at the spot.
